Hi,
We just returned last week. We got a great rate through National Emerald Aisle using the Entertainment and Priceless coupons! We arrived at 9:00 am. There was a lot of intermediate cars on the aisle. There was 2 pontiac vibes (which look really nice) and one electric blue PT cruiser. We chose the PT cruiser. :goodvibes

We got a Pontiac G6 a few weeks ago. We really liked the car and are thinking about buying one now!

That is so cool! I am secretly hoping for a convertable! We pick our car up on Sunday, I hope they have some cool cars then! DH would LOVE a PT Cruiser.

Picked up a car on May 18th around 10pm ... most Pontiac G6s and the other style intermediate on the A side. Did not see anything 'special'.

Drove a gray G6 for the 5 days - opted not to get a white - to many of them look the same

FYI..

If youve drove a Pontiac Grand Am, A Pontiac G6 is built on the same platform, so it has nearly the same size trunk and backseat, etc...

I currently drive a Durango so I'm used to a lot of space...the trunk on the G6 seemed plenty big

Not entirely true. The G6 is built on the global Epsilon platform that GM uses on Opel Vectra/Signum, Saab 9-3, and Chevy Malibu/Malibu Maxx. The platform version on the G6 is the long wheelbase version (112.3") used on the Signum and Maxx. This platform has no relation to the 12 year old Grand Am platform.

It is true that the luggage capacity of a G6 is 14 cubic feet which is the same as the Grand Am. It is a more square area and deeper, but it has a tighter opening to access it. Where the G6 greatly outshines the Grand Am is in rear seat room. You get an extra few inches of leg room and could have three adults in the back which would never happen in the Grand Am.

The best rental for overall space is the Malibu Maxx or even the base Malibu sedan of they are in the line.

Hi golfgal! If hubby wants a PT cruiser and they have a convert. just make sure you don't have too much luggage! I have the electric blue PT GT convert and LOVE it, but you have to travel light! :rotfl:
