Seems like we did a lot of eating, doesn't it? Well we did and we enjoyed every minute of it except.....

Cinderella's Castle - all I can say is yuk, yuk and double yuk!!! In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing redeming about this place. First of all, we had to wait 50 minutes with a PS. When we were finally seated and served our drinks, the iced tea tasted like the sulphur water they give you at Disney. How can you screw up a steak? They seasoned with something gross and served it over a mash of some sort of roots. On the side was a serving of yesterdays asparagus with something on it. My DD had the mussels which were the size of small fish, the smell of which made me gag. My DS had the prime rib (which he liked) and his friend had the lamb shank (which she liked but could not identify nor would not try the side dish). Service was incredibly slow, otherwise I would have returned by dish. All I can say is don't waste your money. The only fun part of this was watching Cinderella entertain all the little ones in the lobby.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be. Our first time here and will definitely return. Although no one got the skillet dinner, we all enjoyed our entrees - from the ribs and chicken to the meatloaf and soup. The breads were great and the sides terrific. No one had room for dessert! The "antics" were not as bad as I had read, but it was still a fun place. A definite keeper.

Cape May Cafe - This was also a surprise since the last time we tried it we were all less than impressed. The selection here is quite varied, from steamed clams, mussels and shrimp to carved prime rib. The sides, soups and salads were plentiful and the corn bread and biscuits superb. I only glanced at the dessert table, but it did look yummy (cheesecake, chocolate cake, creme caramel, etc). Well worth the money and the trip.

Flying Fish - This was our last night - celebration dinner. I think this restaurant has remained one of the consistently great places to eat on property. While some of us did get fish (crab cakes, lobster salad) most of us opted for the steak or the ravioli. The steak was amazing! Best I've had in a long, long time. The girls also enjoyed their ravioli. We shared the banana napolean dessert which was truly one of the best desserts I've ever had. If you want to spluge, this may be the place to go.

Well, that's it for our culinary romp through Disney. Amazingly enough, we did have some time leftover to get to the parks!

Thanks for the reviews! I tried Flying Fish & that Banana Napoleon a few weeks ago for the first time and loved it. Wish I had one right now!

Thanks for the reviews! The Flying Fish was a 'maybe' on our list but I think it just bumped up to 'must do'!

I'm shocked to hear about your bad meal at CRT! Our couldn't have been more different! Too bad!

We also like the other places you mentioned. I wish I would have ordered the banana napolean at FF instead of the lava cake, though. I'll have to do that if we ever make it back there.

Great reviews - thanks for shring them!

Flying Fish is our favorite restaurant - it is always a 'must-do' for us! Can't wait to get back there in October!!!! This is where we have decided to have dinner on our 5th anniversary.

Great reviews! Sounds like you had lots of yummy meals! Too bad about CRT- we have a PS for lunch; I'm hoping if we stick with the sandwiches it will be good.

Thanks for sharing ~ Wonderful reviews!!!!

My girlfriend and I just got back from our trip. (Her 1st my 2nd the first time I was like 6) We were so pleased, that I think its going to ba an annual trip for us. Everything from the cleanliness of the park, to the politeness of everyone, not just CM's but patrons of the parks, was astonishing. The food was incredible.

Coral reef(Epcot-Living Seas)- I HIGHLY recommend the Surf and Turf. Its worth every penny. The waiter messed up the order, and fiixed it by bringing us free lobster bisque, free drinks, and a free dessert. It was awesome.

Flying Fish(BoardWalk)-It is a very quiet upscale restaurant that we loved. Also the boardwalk at night like 10ish is very quiet and romantic. The lake is a nice place to sit and enjoy the evening.

Akerhshus(Norway)- We went not realizing it was a Norwegian restaurant, but nontheless we loved it.

Hollywood and Vine(MGM)-A nice buffet, a little noisy, but the food was good and the service was great.

House of Blues(Downtown) The food was excellent and the fact that you can shop in their store while you wait to be seated makes the time fly.

Alfredo di Roma(Italy) It was extremely crowded, but that did not effect our service or the quality of the food. I give it a 10

We had lunch at the Plaza(MK), ESPN Club(BoardWalk), 50's Prime Time(MGM), Mama's Italian Restaurant(MGM). They were all great and I would reccommend them all. I cant wait to go back
