On this trip we had 2 adults and 4 girls ages 7,7,9 & 11. I let my 9yo DGD bring two of her friends (sisters, couldn't invite just one) and I invited a former coworker and her 7yo DGD for thier first trip to WDW.

6/6-

We arrived at BCV 2BR around 11am after a quick grocery stop. Our room was ready so we put our groceries away then headed to MGM to see some Star Wars charaters from Star Wars weekend. We grabbed some quick pizza at Toy Story Pizza Planet for lunch. We really think these are pretty good and my DGD likes it there. No problems. B+

For dinner I had booked a PS at San Angel Inn. We had the nachos for a starter and although the girls said "Ewww" when they sat them down as they didn't look very appealing, we quickly discovered they were very good and ate them right up. The girls had either the childrens Queso or chicken fingers which got thumbs up. I can't remember what my friend had but she enjoyed it. I had the Pollo a las Rajas again and it wasn't as good this time. It wasn't very hot and the chicken was dry and hard like it had sit a while even though it was in the luke warm cheese sauce. Dissappointing. I'm usually a San Angel Inn fan here on the boards but I think I'll skip this one next time. The service was good. C

6/7

We had a late 10:30 breakfast PS at Crystal Palace so we gave the girls a Little Debbie Oatmeal cookie to tied them over before we left the villa. Our breakfast at Crystal Palace was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it. The characters were fun and attentive, service was excellent, even at the last seating the food was hot and plentiful. A+

Since we had a late breakfast we weren't really hungry for lunch. We had chips and dip while at the pool for a snack.

For dinner we were back at MK for Liberty Tree Tavern and to see Wishes and Spectromagic (Spectro was cancelled due to rain.). Dinner was hot and plentiful and enjoyed by all. The kids ate well, characters were excellent, service was good too. A

6/8

I stuck some frozen waffles under the broiler and microwaved frozen precooked sausage links in the villa for breakfast. This was the first time I'd ever actually used the villa kitchen and found I didn't mind it at all. We all ate it right up and we out in plenty of time to be some of the first people in line at Epcot International Gateway.

I made a PS for the Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian for lunch. This was a first for us and our group of girls enjoyed it very much. The four little girls got the Mrs. Potts Tea and all but one had the Garden View tea instead of the chocolate milk. My friend and I had the Buckingham Palace with iced Raspberry tea instead of hot tea. Everything including the service was excellent and I'm sure we'll be doing this again in the future. A+

We had a PS for Sci Fi Dine Inn for dinner as we'd planned to be at MGM for Fantasmic but we didn't make it to neither. Stormalong Bay had been closed since we arrived due to pumps going out but it opened this night. The girls voted to swim at SAB instead of going to MGM so we ate burgers and onion rings at Beaches & Cream instead. Very good. A

6/9

This was a planned pool/rest day for us so I cooked up a breakfast of bacon & eggs in the villa before heading out to SAB.

I had planned for us to have sandwiches in the villa for lunch but we were bad grandma's and ended up having chips/dip, Cheetos and other snacks while at our SAB table and a Kitchen Sink from Beaches & Cream for lunch. It was good and fun. A

Since all we had was junk for lunch and all that swimming made us hungry we went to Cape May Cafe for a nice hot meal. I hadn't planned any PS this night but we were able to walk right in. It was excellent and everyone ate plenty. I could eat my weight in that broccoli slaw and I tried the ribs for the first time and enjoyed them as well. Excellent service here as well. A

6/10

Breakfast was waffels and sausage links in the villa again. Good, fast & easy.

Lunch was grilled ham & cheese sandwiches and tater tots in the villa. Good, but at this point I'm wishing for a little help from my invited guest, at least in the cleaning up, but it was not to be.

For dinner we sloshed around World Showcase through ankle deep water, pouring rain, thunder & lightening to our dinner at Teppanyaki in Japan. A first for us and well worth the harrowing trip. The girls had the childrens meal, my guest had the strip & scallops and I had the lobster, scallops and shrimp. It was delicious and a great experience for all. My DGD declared it her new favorite restaurant. Excellent service and an excellent fun chef. A+

6/11

This was our last park day and we were moving to AKL for two nights today too. There were three of us who wanted to ride Mission Space and Test Track but due to the storm the night before, we weren't able to use the fastpasses we'd gotten earlier in the week. Since we wanted to ride on an empty stomach, I took the two girls who wanted to ride and we walked to Epcot and left the rest sleeping in. The plan was for my guest to have breakfast ready when we returned, but they were all still in bed when we returned at a little after 10. I woke them up and we finished packing up then had an early lunch/late breakfast at Beaches & Cream.

We had dinner at CRT before Enight. Three of the girls had chicken strips and the 11yo had a child's cut of prime rib. I had Jaq's Seafood and it was wonderful. Better than I thought it would be. Service was fair and the girls all cleaned thier plates. A My adult guest stayed at the AKL as she was sunburnt and blistered. I tried to get her to use sunscreen several times during the trip, but she said she had sensitive skin.:confused3

6/12

This was a planned pool/relax day with no parks. We slept in from Enight then had a big breakfast at Boma. Everyone enjoyed the food and selections here, but we stuck to the basic breakfast fare. Service was excellent. A

For lunch we had burger's & fries at Mara. Very Good. A

For our last dinner we went to Ohana's and had a wonderful meal there. The girls enjoyed the coconut & hoola hooping and ate really well as they did all trip. I enjoyed the meal as much as I did last time. The server was a bit strange, sort of had an attitude, but he brought us plenty of food and promptly. A

6/13

We had a quick breakfast of donuts & breakfast sandwiches at Mara before leaving to catch our flight. A

We really didn't have a bad meal the entire trip although San Angel Inn was disappointing for me this trip. The rest liked it though. I missed eating California Grill and Le Cellier but for this trip with all the little ones, our choices worked well for us. The rain hampered some of our nighttime activities and we were unable to see Fantasmic this trip, but we spent lots more time at the pool than we usually do. It was hot!

Way to go Gram! This is the type of thing that makes grandmas special. Not to mention taking the grandkids to WDW...

Thanks for your reviews. Teppanyaki is by far our favorite restaurant in DW followed by "Ohanas. Counting down the days until we will be eating at both. ::MickeyMo

I can totally see my mom doing something like this with my kids when they are older! It's great to hear that your inner child lives on! What wonderful reviews. Sorry you lacked the help you had been expecting in the kitchen area...I know how frusturating that can be!

Anyway, sounds like you had a magical trip and some great eats! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

Welcome home, Jenifer! Thanks for the great reviews!

You ate at alot of my favorite places! Too bad you didn't get to go to Sci Fi Dine In - I bet the girls would have loved that. (I understand why though, the pool is really fun!)

Sorry you had a little trouble with your guest not helping you out. Kudos to you for taking 4 girls to CRT alone!!!

Thanks for the great reviews! I don't think I'd be inviting that "friend" along again anytime soon, lol. Hmmm...I doubt suncreen on sensitive skin would have been nearly as bad as a blistering sunburn! Happy to hear that you and the girls had a good time though!

Jenny Mouse, Will you adopt me??? What a great Grandmother!!! And if I was your guest I would cook, clean and be ever so grateful. Sounds like a magical trip thanks for sharing. OT How did you and the girls like BCV???

Enjoyed your reviews, jennymouse. Sounds like you're a great grandma as well as hostess.

Nice reviews, thanks.

We had a similar VERY rainy night at Epcot that we too ate at Teppanyaki and found it to be wonderful. It was great food and entertainment for the kids!

Sounds like you had a great trip despite a few "issues".

Way to go!:sunny:

Thanks Jenny We own at BCV and haven't stayed there yet. So positive reports are always enjoyed.
