Just Back BCV/OKW

First the great news Old Key West--I totally get it now! All I can say is WOW! Start to finish I felt that I was welcome and that the CM's were available to assist in any way possible. I was blown away at the size of the 1BR and for the first time ever at DVC really felt at home. OKW was the most laid back vacation I've ever had and I can't wait to go back in July 2005!

First week at BCV was not nearly the wonderful experience of OKW and I'm so glad I booked them in that order. If I had ended with the BCV experience I would be considering if DVC was really worth it. LOL, I know, but it really was that bad! I have some unpacking to do and errends to run so I will post about the BCV experience later today--besides I wouldn't want to detract from the OKW experience!

As for all of you OKW fans--IMHO you are right!

We own at BCV and stayed there in March. It wasn't perfect (terrible water pressure) but the resort was beautiful, view and location supreme, and SAB was all we expected it would be. We just booked 4 nights at OKW in October (kind of a last minute thing) and we really look forward to it. We hope to try all the DVCs in time. We own another TS which we trade through RCI and all of the places we have stayed are larger than BCV. Still, we are happy to be BCV owners, DVC members, AND Disney fans (we enjoy other trips too, stayed a week in Williamsburg, Va. in June!) Can't wait to hear your full report!

Glad to hear you gave OKW a chance and enjoyed it. Sorry to hear you had problems at BCV. Hopefully, they were just one time problems and your future trips there will be great.

I am very interested to hear the whole story. We are planning on doing the same thing next summer for our first DVC trip - 1 week at OKW (our home resort) and 1 week at BCV

After seeing it, we immediately added-on there. Have not stayed there yet, but we will in the near future.
