Hey everyone,
Just wanted to post my two cents about the new BCV. My family and I were there from August 3-10th and had a wonderful time. The villa's are very nice, but I still like the charm of my home resort VWL. We stayed in a one bedroom #347 which overlooked the garden, part of epcot (if you could see between the trees) and a small portion of the boardwalk.
The room itself was very nice, and the color combinations were better than expected (I wasn't so sure of that seafoam green). The one thing I will say is that they are making these things smaller and smaller. My guide told me that the living room was about 1 foot shorter all the way around, and you could definitely tell. Also, the horror storys about the air conditioning and bathroom doors are very true.
The quiet pool was very nice, we actually used this more than Storm Along Bay. We did have to call the BCV manager though. The resort is only open a month, but the tiles in the pool were filthy! I couldn't believe it! After three calls and a long wait the manager (Kurt I believe) did come out to address the problem, and finally had some clean the tiles for the next day. But come on? Shouldn't this be something that is checked daily?
Well..I know it probably sounds that I didn't like the BCV's and that is so far from the truth. The facility is a wondeful addition to the DVC family. Hopefully they can just get some of the kinks worked out.
What I will say is that my stay there made me realize how much I really loved my home resort of VLW. Therefore, we made contact with our guide while in Disney and were able to complete a 40 point add on at our own resort, and were able to get our same use year. The papers actually arrived the other day and will be going back tomorrow!
Just thought I would add my own two cents.
