We returned form a wonderful, but different trip to WDW. Different because our DSs (15 and 17) were marching in MK with their high school band. They were in the parks, but not with us, so kind of weird. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.
Wednesday-DH and I caught the Magical Express bus, checked into SSR, and entered MGM by 4pm. We went on some of our favorite rides, walked through Osborne Lights, and had a wonderful and delicious meal at Mama Melrose.
Thanksgiving-DH and I went to Epcot at opening and followed the mobs of people to get Fast Pass for Soarin. Besides seeing our favorite attractions, we had lunch at 9 Dragons then went wine tasting and watched the entertainment throughout the countries. We met my mom and DHs parents at SSR and ate the Thanksgiving meal the resort prepared for those without other reservations. We then went to Downtown Disney. After the parents retired, DH and I went to Comedy Club and the Adventurers Club.
Friday-Met up with our kids and other band members at MGM. We then hopped over to MK for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (another great meal). The park was packed and we staked out our spot by 7 for the 9pm parade our kids were marching in along with a bunch of other band parents.. What a thrill it was to watch them march down Main Street-I cried!!
Saturday-Went to Universal and Islands of Adventure for the first time ever. No waits at all.
Sunday-Kona Café for breakfast-yes, another delicious meal! On to Epcot, relaxed by the pool, Kona Café for dinner and off to MVMCP.
Great trip, perfect weather!
Any questions just ask.
