Just back, any questions???

We didn't bring the kids to CG, but yes it would have been 2 credits all around. If your going to pay OOP for the kids, this is probably not the place to do it---I'd pick a 'cheaper' resturant than CG. Our bill for just 2 of us was close to $150.

The food was decent, but the view was awesome.

Her name is Tara, make sure you ask for her (if she is still working). I will buy you a camara card, and I want you to take a pic after you bounce that dinner roll off her head!! I want to see pics of the dinner roll 'hitting' her head, then another of her reaction afterwards.

Oh, and the day I was there, it was 97 degrees during the day---believe me with my italian/irish temper, I still can't believe I controlled myself!! lol.

:lmao: Hopefully the dinner rolls will be one of those crusty hard ones!! :lmao: And dont put it past me, because I wont have my kids with me, so I dont need to make a good impression!!! And by the way, you were talking about the WCC, and after looking at the picture of you and your beautiful boy, I got this visual of your son begging you to ask for ketchup, and you giving him a look like "You ask for ketchup, boy, and yer done!!" :lmao:

See, I was thinking the opposite, buy the $8 or $9 kids meals OOP rather than use 2 TS credits for them. I probably would put them in daycare like at other resorts but there isn't one onsite at Contemporary and I wouldn't want them a monorail ride away.

I see what your saying now........using the kids credits for your dinners (2 credits), and just pay for theirs. You're right, that would be the better way.

If you happened to notice - when did FP run out for EE? Before 1-2pm or after?

Thanks!

We left AK around 2:00 each time we were there, and the fastpass was still handing tickets out. Also, on EMH night, we easily got a fastpass around 5:30 PM (for an 8:00 closing).

Still, the best (and easiest) bet is to be there first thing in the AM.......we rode 2 consecutive rides like this, AND could have got a fastpass also if we wanted.

I pay absolutely NO attention to Kali since I have no interest in walking around with wet shoes/shorts/underwear!!! lol....but I did overhear people talking that it was 'walk-on' for the first part of the day.

Did you use the DIning Plan?? oops i see you did. Did you lose any meals? Is it worth the money. I have ADR that will take 10 ts Still don't know and am leaving in 11 days!!! :rotfl2:  :woohoo: :Pinkbounc :rotfl: :sunny: :bounce:

yes I used the dining plan, and YES I think it is well worth the money. This is the second time we used it, so we used just about every one of our credits (I think we had 1 CS credit left).

I usually watch what I eat all year long, so this splurging for 10 days is something I look forward to.....plus its cool to try out new resturants every trip.

:furious: Nice Waitress!!!!! Holy cow, I can't believe your patience with this chick......you actually made it through the appetizers before you asked to see the manager?? OMG, if a waitress threw a plate of food in front me, I would have probably bounced a dinner roll off of her head!!! Kudos to your patience, buddy...I have ADR's there in July......they better have a nice waitstaff when I'm there....nobody likes dealing with a NewYorker in 95 degree heat!! :lmao:

Actually the heat has nothing to do with it!!! just kiddin :teeth:

funny..my whole take on Le Cellier is different than most

I found the food just ordinary...with exception of cheddar soup

service stinks...they always take too long.

ambience,,,,yuch...who wants to be in a cellar atmosphere

for me...I would take yachtsman over any place for steak dinner.
ambience and service impeccable..

and if I am not mistaken..isn't it 2 credits for both places..

my money is on yachtsman each time

minijeanie:No, I believe Le Cellier is now only 1 TS. It is funny how different people can have such different experiences at different places. We have been to Yachtsman twice and Le Cellier only once, but are going back to Le Cellier 2 times this July. We decided to give Yachtsman a rest this time because last year we had just an ok experience compared to our experience at Le Cellier. Our waiter at Le Cellier was really attentive and nice. We all really enjoyed our steaks there and agreed we enjoyed the meal better than Yachtsman. But, hey, who knows...Maybe this time we will not have as great an experience at Le Cellier and want to go back to Yachtsman. Although, since we made 2 ADRs for LC I hope it is a good experience. I am glad you have always had good experiences at Yachtsman(we really enjoyed it the first time) and hopefully we will give it a try again on our next trip after July. :sunny:

Hello,
i was wondering about this "mandated" charge for bell service? I am staying at RPR next week & have never heard about this before! We stayed in 2004 & had to pay for onsite parking but not for bell service!!!

Hey Boxer -

You said you rode EE about 10x. I am flipping back & forth on riding this ride. We love roller coasters, but I can't go upside down, flips, whatever.

Is EE more of a traditional roller-coaster (with the added Disnet touch)? or does it have some surprises?

Did your 5 yr old son ride it?

To give you a comparison we all love space mtn & BTMRR, but no-go on rockin roller-coaster.

there are NO inversions what-so-ever, and the only 'different' part of the ride is when you go backwards. Coming from a person that visits Cedar Point at least 2x over summer, the roller-coaster portion of EE is very tame, but it's the overall experience that sets it apart from the other roller coasters.

And yes, my 5-year old rode it, and loved it.

The bell-hop told me that NO ONE can bring their luggage up to the room without being 'escorted' by a HRH employee. Of course when they 'escort' you, they also stick their hand out at the end looking for $$$$.

This is my LAST ever trip to a Universal Hotel. At $300 a night I would have thought I could at least got my baggage carried to my room.
