Here's where we ate:
POR food court
Chef Mickey's breakfast
various counter service places in all parks
Crystal Palace

I know this is not a huge list, but does anyone have any questions?

Any counter service that really stood out?princess:

Next to Star Toursin MGM there is a counter service place, I think called Backlot Express (?). The food was really good. I shared chicken strips with my DS, and they were very tasty. My parents both had burgers and they said they were very good. I can't remember what DH ate, but he didn't complain!

Did you have breakfast at the Crystal Palace? If so, could you let me know about the selection and the food quality? Thank you!

Does the POR food court have an automatic (push button) espresso/cappucino machine?

I know I can't expect much better than that - but I'd rather have that available in a pinch than regular Nescafe coffee.

Nee Nee, we had dinner at CP. Rhonna, I didn't notice a cappuccino machine at the food court at POR.

How was Chef Mickey's breakfast? We are trying this for the first time this year. Which characters were there? Are you proud you went? We have always wanted to eat here but never had- we're making a special point to this trip and are eating a late breakfast the morning of our MVMCP day.princess:

We will be having dinner at CP the night of MVMCP. After seeing various comments about the downhill slide of this restaurant, I'd like to know about your experience. Thanks!

How was the food court at POR, and where did you stay AB or Mansions. We're heading down in 2wks. Did you review the resort = if so I 'd love to read it:wave:

TRY THE CINN BUNS & FRENCH BINETS (sp) AT THE FOOD COURT BAKERY.
GREAT HAMBURGERS & CHICKEN FINGERS TOO.
EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH.

Chef Mickey's breakfast was excellent. The buffet is really big. They had fresh fruit, yogurt, puddings, breakfast pizza, hash brown potatoes, Mickey waffles and pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelettes, bacon, sausage, bagels, donuts, cold cereals- there was more, but I can't remember it all. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale come to the tables for pictures and autographs. Goofy stays in the waiting to be seated area, and you can go to him anytime. The character interaction was excellent and the atmosphere is fun, fun, fun. My kids loved it- I highly recommend it. We ate breakfast there for the first time in June and obviously we liked it because we were back in October. I celebrated my birthday there, and I got a birthday placemat and cupcake with candles. It was really special.
CP was also really good. The food selection was great- it's not your typical buffet food. There was roast beef and turkey being carved, garlic smashed potatoes, veggies, delicious shredded pork, salad with mixed baby greens and various dressings. There is also a really big dessert bar. I enjoyed it because the food wasn't typical buffet fare. The service was very good and the character interaction was also great. I didn't expect much because I thought it would be crowded due to MNSSHP that night, but we didn't have any problems. We have eaten here several times, breakfast, lunch and dinner and have not had a bad experience.
We stayed in Alligator Bayou, room 1444, beautiful water view, corner room. The building is very close to the food court which was nice. There is a bakery (with very good blueberry muffins and cherry danish)/ice cream place, one place that has rotisserie chicken, taco salads, nachos (highly excellent), mac and cheese and grilled cheese for the kids. There is a burger place (my mom liked the burgers) and a pizza/pasta place. The pasta is good, a big plate comes with a bread stick. The pizza is also tasty, it has a garlicky crust that was delicious. They make the pizzas to order, so they were always hot. There are coolers with deli and sub sandwiches, jello, pudding, yogurt, grapes and cheese platters and fresh fruit. For breakfast, they offered the bakery items, biscuits and gravy, french toast, pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs. It was all good.
