We just took our first cruise ever, and are now HOOKED!
I never thought I'd want to go anywhere more than WDW and now, we are planning on taking one to two cruises and year.
I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive about cruising in the first place. As a former flight attendant, I was never particularly interested in spending all of my time getting to where I wanted to go. I was also very, very nervous about cruising. We all know those people who are terrified to fly, well, I was one of those that was terrified to cruise. Why you might ask! I suppose I've watched Titanic one too many times and also had worries that I wouldn't be able to look over the edge, scared of heights as well. I was also concerned about being in the middle of the ocean not knowing how deep the water was underneath us.
In addition to all of that, I was so worried one or several of us would get sea sick since two of us get car sick easily and my DH doesn't do well on the tea cups at MK. We were all completely fine except for feeling a little dizzy. We had real rough seas the first night and several other moments to where you could really feel things pretty intensely.
After all of that, I was not scared at all once on board.
DCL has really got it together and has as much magic as WDW.
