Just some general observations from our trip from Oct 14-Oct 22. (BTW we normally travel in June so keep that in mind)
Check in late on the 14th at the Poly. No issues to note here, ME, Bell services and front desk all good, room clean with 1 animal towel and one Mickey head on the bed.
MK on the 15th (Friday): Cool morning, low crowds for most of the morning, tons of characters out in the park proper.
Epcot on the 16th(Sat): Cool morning, finished breakfast just as the park opened- Test Track was not up yet so we saw what the park looks like when *everyone* heads to Soarin'. Test Track opened later - longest wait we saw before we left for lunch was 70 minutes at Soarin. Crowds heavy in the World Showcase however.
MK on the 17th (Sun): Similar to Friday but slightly heavier crowds. Longest line I saw was Dumbo at 50 minutes. Space Mountain hovered at 20 minutes most of the day. MNSSHP that night, fairly crowded but we left early- still fun though
MK on the 18th (Mon): Best day yet low crowds most places and short lines at alot of attractions.
DHS on the 19th (Tues): Good day, longest wait I saw at TSM was 60 minutes, got tons of characters here too. MNSSHP again, much less crowded wait time for the dwarves was about 40 minutes.
AK on the 20th(Wed): Really low crowds IMO, walked on to Everest 2 times half day here as MIL was in town
AK on the 21st (Thur): Late start that day, crowds still not bad.
MK on the 22nd (Fri) Warmer and somewhat crowded, but still not bad.

All in all I found crowds to be low with fairly short wait times, hitting the parks early helped to get the bigger rides out of the way with no waits. Construction in MK was obvious with walls around Tea Party, queue to Pooh and It's a Small World. You could see construction on 2 big buildings behind the great wall of Disney. Lots of characters out and about. Lots of minor issues on rides: Pirates broke, Test Track broke, Rockin Roller Coaster, It's a Small World, Pooh all had minor issues while we were there. For the most part great cast members, good service in restaurants and friendly guests.

All in all a good trip, sad to be home. I'll post more detailed reviews/comments in the appropriate areas.

I'm glad you had a great trip! I have a random question- I've never been to WDW around Halloween time so I've never gone to MNSSHP... do you have to have a Park Hopper to go to the party if you've gone to another park that same day? I see that the only time you went to more than one park in a day was the day you did DHS and the party... did you have to get a Park Hopper just to do this, or is the party ticket something completely different and unrelated to your ticket? Just a curiosity question... Thanks for any help!

Hey! Not the OP, but I can answer your question, stitch09! If you are going to a park in the morning, then to MNSSHP in the evening (entering MK at or after 4pm and using your party ticket), you DO NOT need a hopper to do so. The hard-ticket parties do not require you to use a day of park admission on top of your party ticket, as long as you are entering at 4pm or later.

If you want to go to the MK before 4pm, though, you WILL use a day of your regular ticket PLUS the party ticket. Same with any other park- you use a day for admission to the park that day, then you use your party ticket to get in to the MNSSHP.

If you are only going to the party that evening and NOT going to a park that day, you ONLY use the party ticket to enter the MK after 4pm. If you have a 7 day ticket, for example, you will NOT use up a day on that ticket to attend the party.

Hope that helps! :wizard:

I just wanted to let you know that I have pulled your just back/any questions thread from the board. We know you are excited to share your knowledge about your trip, but unfortunately, we can't allow this type of thread. On any given day, we have dozens of DISers just back from trips, and if we allowed this type of thread, the boards would be hard to navigate if many posters posted this type of thread.

Additionally, the moderators feel that this type of thread is a personal message to the original poster, which is against DIS guidelines.

We encourage posters to share their knowledge and experiences by answering questions, and sharing a trip report on the trip report board. Thanks Danny
