I can't believe after months of planning, we're home! We had a wonderful trip! We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort for the first 3 nights. We usually like the resort, but we ran into a lot of problems this trip. We were there during the teen grad nights. Our building (touchdown) was full of teens. Some of them were very noisy and kept us up at night. We got 3 prank calls during the middle of the night. They got kicked out of the pool one afternoon for rowdiness and swearing. I'm sure most of them were well behaved, but the ones near us were quite rowdy. We didn't bother changing rooms since we were only there for 3 nights. We just spent as much time away from the hotel as possible. I generally like this hotel, I think it was just bad luck and timing.
The AKL was an absolute delight! We had booked a standard view with a discount code from mousesavers for 3 nights. When we got there, we got a free upgrade to a Savannah room!!!!!! I couldn't believe our luck! We were in the Zebra wing on the 3rd floor. We didn't hear a peep all 3 nights. We enjoyed our balcony and had some meals out there watching the giraffes munch on the palm trees. What a dream! The room was a little small, but for 2 people, it was fine. The decorating was beautiful. We took advantage of the resort and spent lots of time doing the tours and exploring. I recommend trying out the night vision goggles and looking for hidden mickey's with their official list. We would definitely stay there again.
Our last night was in the airport at the Hyatt Regency. We got it through priceline for $31 a night. It was superb too. Great location.
Any questions, just ask! I'm still dreaming of our balcony at AKL! Ahhhhh!
