We got back this weekend from Disney. We were there from 9/12 to 9/25 and stayed at ASMu. We had a great trip!
Weather- Report showed rain EVERY single day, from 30% to 70% and we had the a little on the first day we got there and that was it until it rained for about 3 minutes a couple days before we left.
People keep saying how hot it was, but we found it much better than years past and we always go in September.
It didn't seem as humid or hot as usual to us. Some days it was downright pleasant!
ASMu- We just LOVE that place! This was our third year in a row here and we are booked again for next year.
We just have a blast here every year. The pool activities are great, the music is great, the movies at night are great. We got a great room in Jazz like we requested. The resort was not crowded. The parking lot was pretty empty the first week we were there, but crowds were picking up a little before we left. No problems with buses for the most part. The food court was usually uncrowded except for around 8 or 9 after parks closed. There were plenty of tables and lounge chairs always. The CMs were mostly great. We almost had the pool to ourselves a few days!
DDP- Was wonderful, as usual!
We've done free dining every year since it started and we really have the hang of it now.
We now what works for us so we don't get stuffed and feel like we're always eating. We found that TS lunches work best for us on park days. It gets us out of the sun for awhile in the heat of the day and frees up our evenings. We love the parks when they're all lit up! Also we can snack in the afternoon without worrying about not being hungry for a TS dinner. We do TS dinners on our off days and stay by the pool all day. And without the MYO snacks on the plan anymore, we tried lots of new yummy things!
The CMs all know the plan so well now and things are so clearly marked, we had no problems knowing what was included. The worst place was Goofy's with the MYO treats. I was there 4 times and asked 4 different CMs what was included and got 4 different answers.
And I've read others reports on here since coming home and found they got different answers I did. It's kind of frustrating to not get a chocolate covered Oreo and find out if you had only asked the other employee standing there you would have gotten one!

Restaurants- All were good. I'll post more on the dining board about specifics. We didn't find them to be too crowded at all. We only waited for a table at Sci Fi and Kona.
Parks- The parks were empty!
Our MK and AK days were unbelievable! We just ran around riding SM, BTMR and EE over and over with no wait. The highest I saw Splash and Thunder were 10 minutes! And we just walked on. At EPCOT, the middle of the day TT and Soarin got to 30 minutes. But by evening it was walk on again. We even got to ride TT twice without getting off! DHS was the same. The only wait was TSM at 50 minutes, but DH waited and it was only 20. Everything else was walkon, including ToT and RR. We must have road the big rides 12 times each at each park! It was great. And I got lots of empty park pictures and pictures of just my kids in front of stuff.
We never encountered any really rude people. Everyone was really happy and friendly, probably because of the low crowds. The second week we mostly had pool days, and DTD and resort days, but the 2 days we went to parks (MK and EP) we noticed slighly more people. SM and BTMR got to 20 minutes, but we still found them to be walk on. And Soarin and TT got up to 40 or 50 minutes, we just used FP. The first week the only FP we used was for TSM.
We are booked for bounceback next year and are so excited! Let me know if you have any questions!
