Just back..........a lot of Pixie Dust this trip!

My DD and I just returned from the World on the 9th. I have to say this was the most magical trip I have had so far (this was my 9th trip). We normally stay at POR, but we chose to stay at POP Century since we were only staying 4 nights. Upon arrival, we missed Port Orleans so much, that we rode the boat to the resort that night just to have a milkshake and to walk around. We went to the desk to inquire how much an upgrade would be and it was over $500 since the Spring rate was no longer offered. Then a manager came out and told us to get our bags packed and "come home". A free up grade! It was probably done since we had a previous 7 night stay there last October and another 7 night stay planned this October, but we literally cried when this happened!! I also deleted our Wishes Fast Pass by accident two hours before the Wishes show. I went to the Kiosk where a Cast Member gave it back to me.......no questions asked! Then more Pixie dust came our way when we got off Splash Mountain. We planned on buying a picture but I messed it up when my mouse ears started flying off my head and I had to grab them. The cast member heard me say that and she took us to the front of the line and said "try it again"! We have never been in May but I have to say the Flower and Garden was worth it. I think the crowds were tolerable and we lucked out on great weather. Disney still has magical moments. I can wait to be back in 5 months!!

It is so nice to hear some magic happening. We had a few cool things happen to us (not as cool as your upgrade) during our trip 2 weeks ago. I bought a bucket of popcorn during Wishes one night. Somehow in the mass crowds getting back to my family, I lost the lid. I like to keep the buckets because I use them for the kids art supplies. The next day, I asked someone at a popcorn stand for a lid. They gave me a whole new bucket filled with popcorn...I wasn't expecting that at all. I just wanted a lid That same day, my DH and I took our 4 year old on Splash while my mom waited with our 10 month old in the store near Splash. My mom was playing with a Mickey with my daughter. Apparently, the CM had been interacting with my mom and daughter too. When my mom went to pay for the Mickey, the CM told her to keep it because my daughter was super cute.

There is so much of this goodness at WDW. I wish more people would report it. It's already uber expensive which already puts a lot of people on "not worth it" mode.

Last summer we requested an AB room at POR for pool view. They put us in preferred pool view. I about kissed Mandy from Wooster College at the desk. Yes I remember the encounter and will continue telling it.

We had a long weekend trip this past April. Our little moment of pixie dust happened while watching the electrical parade. The gentleman from the popcorn cart a few feet behind us walked over with popcorn cartons for each of the four of us. My three year old thought it was the best thing ever.

The best pixie dust we had was when we were staying at Pop. The mattresses were different than our previous trips there, and after 2 nights, my DD and I had a terrible backache. I went to speak to the manager about changing resorts and he upgraded us for free to AKL. I was prepared to pay for a moderate. He also gave us a voucher for a taxi to take us there.
