Just back 5/9-5/14

Just returned from a great trip! It was hot hot hot, but not super humid, so it was bearable. We were expecting crowds similar or even less than what we saw in September, but we were so incredibly wrong! The parks were packed, especially starting on Thursday when the mobs of cheerleaders starting coming in. Fortunately we had all our FPs so got to see everything we wanted early so we could escape the crowds and spend some quality time at the pool.

Flower and Garden was beautiful. We loved going around to see all the displays, and the food booths were fantastic! We liked that even though it was so crowded, not many people seemed to be interested in the food booths, so unlike Food and Wine, we never had to wait to get our snacks!

We got to do some brand new things this trip, including Highway in the Sky dine around which we absolutely loved! We also got to see Rivers of Light, which was nice, but we don't feel like we need to see it again.

I'll put together a full trip report at some point, but for now it's time to unpack and take a nap!

Welcome Home! Thanks for your report, we are headed down net week, figuring the crowds will build steadily to Memorial weekend! Can't wait!

We were there 4/25 - 5/6 and were pleasantly surprised that the crowds were light (3-4) except higher on weekend. When we left, the crowds were building - along with the heat!! Had a few days in mid 90's while there.

Had a great trip, but the the F&G Festival is slowly declining. Have been going last 6 years and each year less topiaries and large bed plantings. They're more into the food/wine kiosks now because they know that brings in the $$$. They didn't have them our first several trips, so concentrated more on the flowers.
