Just returned yesterday from an incredible 7 day land sea vacation. The 3 day Wonder was fantastic. We traveled with two DS (8 and 11). They found the Oceaneers Lab to be boring and had a much better time with us and at the arcade, etc. They did love the ship and now request a 7 day cruise!

This was our first Disney Cruise and we are looking forward to another in the fall of 2003.

We would be happy to answer any questions....

Sure, we will do a trip reprt.

We gathered so much information from here over the last year, we should add to this great body of knowledge/experience.

We will post by the end of this week!

We (8 adults, 3 kids) are doing the 4land/3sea at the Poly in June. This will be our first cruise. Many times at the world though. I am curious as to how smooth everyhting went. the transfers, check-in's. did you book flights yourself? If you let Dis do it, what were your flight times?
Glad you had a wonderful time

Bill,

We booked our own flights on USAIR and upon arrival at Orlando we meet up with the Disney Cruise Reps who were just standing there in uniform and with a placard.

We thought we would have to locate our own luggage and then bring the pieces to Disney so we did not place the Wonder tags on our luggage. The Disney rep took our Wonder tags and the luggage tag numbers and told us that Disney would locate our bags, tag them, and deliver them to the Poly. So, we just went to the Cruise counter waited for a bus and then off to the Poly.

We checked in at the Poly about noon and our bags arrived by 2:30!

The day of our transfer to the Wonder, we just left our bags (now correctly tagged) inside the room by the door and left for the Magic Kingdom for a few hours. We returned to the Poly around 11:30, boarded the Disney Cruise bus at noon with our carry-ons and off to the Wonder.

At port, we got off the bus, and walked directly onto the Wonder (about 1:15). Bags delivered by 2:30.

Our last night, we left our bags outside our door around midnight (11 pm was the latest time the Wonder asked for) and they disappeared within10 minutes only to reappear the next morning in the Port building. We carried them out to the USAIR counter, checked them, got our boarding passes and rode the bus to the airport. No wait at the airport since we had our boarding passes.

All in all a very effecient and impressive operation.

We choose our own flights since we wanted a non-stop flight at an early time. We saved a couple hundred dollars on the flight too!

Now, I am exhausted but so happy! A great time.

Sounds like everything went well. I can only hope we have a similar experience. Technical difficulties seem to follow my family around everywhere we go.
Get some rest, we are eagerly anticipating a full trip report just to make me more jealous that I am not there yet.
