We had a great time and was overall pleased with our dining choices. I don't have time for a full meal report until after the holidays but if you have specific questions I will be happy to answer them.

These are the places we ate at:

Cape May Cafe-dinner
Beaches and Cream-lunch(2)
Boma-dinner
Rose and Crown-dinner
Le Cellier-dinner
Kona Cafe-dinner
Tusker House-lunch
50's Primetime Cafe-lunch
Whispering Canyons Cafe-dinner
El Pirato?-lunch
Spoodles-breakfast

There are a few more but they aren't coming to me right now.

we'll be arriving on the first and plan on dining here at least twice, we've only been here for lunch, but in reviewing the posts regarding their steaks we may choose this for a dinner or two. It would help me quite a bit if I knew what you had for dinner, if you enjoyed the dining experience, was it worth the price and if you think this would be a good experience for children 10 and 12.
Thanks for your input...:)

Walt's Buddy,

Le Cellier was probably our favorite meal of the trip. There were 3 adults in our party we ordered Beef & Barley Soup and 2 shrimp w/ wasabi slaw appetizers, all the adults ordered the NY Strip accompanied w/ potatoes, and for dessert the adults ordered 2 of Walt's chocalate cake and 1 raspberry sorbet. The kids had mac & cheese,(2) steak & fries, and grilled chicken breast w/ fries.

First let me start by saying I shouldn't have ordered the appetizer because I ate entirely to much of the pretzel bread. We all voted the bread at Le Cellier the best, except my best friend who enjoyed it but preferred Kona Cafes.

However, I would highly recommend the shrimp appetizer it was wonderful!

The steaks were GREAT!!! Tender and Juicy!!!! Even my son said his steak was the best he had ever had, thats a high compliment coming from a kid.

The desserts were for me the only low point of the meal. The chocolate cake although attractive tasted like something out of the freezer section of my local grocery store. The kids all ordered the choc. moose which did recieve rave reviews and was adorable. Be forwarned if there are kids in the party 2 children can easily share this dessert.

My bill for 1 adult and 2 kids plus tip was around $67. My best friend had 2 adults and 2 children her total with tip was around $115.

On a scale of 1-5 considering service, cost, and food I would probably give Le Cellier a 4.8. It would be easy to rank it a 5 if the cake had tasted as good as it looked.

We plan on trying Kona Cafe for breakfast our next trip...how was it for dinner?

We went to Le Cellier for dinner using the Candlelight Processional package on Dec. 18th. We took our 3 daughters - ages 6, 12 and 13(almost 14). The package included your choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. The children's package also included a child beverage.

My older daughter got a Caesar Salad, Prime Rib with Roasted Potatoes, and the Caramel Apple Tart for dessert. We purchased the children's package for the younger 2 - I know they are supposed to be 11 or under, but when I called, I was up front that I wanted to order off of the kid's menu even though she was 12, and they said no problem. Jennie chose the steak and fries and Sarah chose chicken nuggets and fries. For dessert, they had the chocolate moose and the s'mores. I got the Tomato/****aake Stack and the Filet with the chocolate cake for dessert. DH got the Cheddar soup with the Mushroom filet, substituting potatoes for the risotto, and the espresso cheesecake for dessert.

All of the food was delicious, with no exceptions. We loved the chocolate cake, it tasted freshly made to us. The dessert presentation was glorious - my oldest had a birthday badge on as her birthday is this week and that was our last day - the chef wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate along the side of her plate! The espresso cheesecake was a little odd - it was more of a cheesecake flavored mousse inside a chocolate shell, but still delicious! All of the portions were large, with the exception of the breadsticks - they only gave us four, for five people, and although she said she would refill when we needed them, she was a terrible waitress, DH had ordered coffee as his beverage, and it was never refilled, even with dessert! The other servers in the room seemed great - needless to say, she only received the automatic tip that came with the package!

We used vouchers for several other meals on our trip, and always left extra tips for the servers - but she didn't deserve even the minimum! I hope she was just having a bad night!

Kona Cafe

The adults had the beef terrihaki w/sticky rice, prime rib, and chicken. The beef terrihaki(?) was very good, my best friend had the chicken she really enjoyed it(I tried a bite and didn't care for it, it was seasoned with ginger), her husband had the prime rib which he thought was good but liked the prime rib at Boma better. The kids had typical kids food, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and hamburgers. We ordered the kileau torte and it was FABULOUS and the kids ordered the kiddie cone. If you have children make them share the kiddie cone it is large and very sugary, let me stress SUGARY!

I personally love this place for any meal. If you dine her try to get Tauy as your server he is great.

My bill which had the beef t., 2 kids meals, 2 desserts, and a 1 lb bag of coffee(My DH couldn't make it this trip and he loves their coffee) and 3 soda was around $62.

On a scale of 1-5, I would rank it a 4.7, great service, excellent desserts, and good food.

Can I just second how great the Asian Cocktail Shrimp dish is? It was fabulous! We ate there for lunch one afternoon, and I had the appetizer and the Cheese Soup (more than enough to fill me up once you add the bread to the equation). Sure, the Wasabi Slaw made my cry and my nose run (had to run to the restroom mid-meal to blow my nose), but it was spectacular. The presentation was excellent - I took a pic of the dish before I dug in and will post it next week. The shrimp was the right level of spiciness and the wasabi slaw complimented it perfectly! That's one of my new favorite dishes in WDW! And that pretzel bread..... drooooooooooooooooolll!

MrsAPalm I couldn't agree with you more. It was fabulous!!! Le Cellier has been added to my must-do every trip list! :)

Our upcoming trip :Pinkbounc includes PS' at Cape May Cafe & 50's Primetime Cafe. (Dinner for two adults)
These will be our first time at either.
What did you think, have, suggest for these two?
TIA

The food that we ate at the Cape May Clam Bake was good but we thought the selection wasn't quit as expansive as previous visits. The quality was good for a buffet, this one and Boma are the only buffets we do now that our kids feel character melas are for younger kids.

50's Primetime is a fvorite of our group. I recoomend the fried chicken dinner and dad's super sundea(shared). If you are up for a good time ask for Richard he is a hoot and really gets into his role.

Let me know what you thought when you return.
