We arrived mid morning on Friday and met up with dd who was on fall break. This was her first F& W experience (yes, she is over 21 :drinking1 ) and the 1st MNSSHP for all of us. :hmghost:

We checked into the Swan and decided to rest up at the pool for a couple of hours since we had early flights and we were attending MNSSHP that evening. The weather was wonderful! Low 90's.....we had just left snow! We headed to MK about 4 p.m. We rode Pirates, BTM and HM and then had some dinner. The Halloween decorations were great. DD is a Stitch fan and especially enjoyed the giant Stitch. The fireworks were a lot of fun.....but my favorite of the night was the parade. I loved the grave diggers and of course, Jack Sparrow. We were given tons of candy and tooks lots of pictures.

On Saturday, we went to AK and took our maiden voyage on EE. I love the Yeti!!!!!! Got FPs to do again later in the day. The park was pretty crowded so we did our favs and EE a second time and headed over to F & W for the afternoon. Since it was still in the 90's we declared it a white wine day! We also tryed the Pomegranite Kir.........addictive!!!!! Favorites were the Durban Spiced Chicken, the lobster roll and the pretzel roll with sausage. The mango wine was also a hit.

The World Showcase was becoming very crowded and slightly "over-served" by early evening so we headed to DTD for a little shopping and to be "spit on" by Stitch and then returned to our hotel for a dip in the pool to cool off.

On Sunday, we headed to MK for breakfast at the Crystal Palace, a must do on every trip for our family. After breakfast we headed to MGM. MGM was not very crowded and were able to do all our favorites. ToT was a walk on. I was even able to particpate in the show prior to the Castastrophe Canyon ride.

We headed back to F&W in the afternoon to try more new things and repeat a few favorites. We had a GreyGoose and frozen lemonade martini that was terrific, especially considering the still 90+ temps. The crowds were much lighter than they were on Saturday

That evening we headed back to MK for the EMH. True to form, the crowds got lighter as the evening wore on, but Fantasyland stayed pretty busy thoughout the evening. We never did do Peter Pan as the wait was always a min of 40 minutes. I like Peter Pan but.............

I forgot to mention, DD likes to do the Parks commando-style. DH is (much) more laid back and I lean more towards commando but don't have the stamina that DD has. So on Monday, we started at Epcot, doing the attractions on the Future World side and then moving back to F & W for lunch. The weather had cooled so we declared it a red wine day! I tried the Rosa Regale in Italy. I don't usually like sweet wines, but I did enjoy this! DH declared it too sweet and DD loved it. After lunch it was off to MK for a few favorites and then over to MGM for the EMH. All of the parks had fairly light crowds.

Sadly, Tuesday was DD's last day as she had a mid-afternoon flight. We went to the morning EMH and decided to stay until there until DD had to leave for the airport. The new Nemo attraction at the Living Seas was well done and we enjoyed it. We did our favorites and visited a few gift shops and once again had lunch at F & W. After dd left, we did a seminar on New World Reds and found a few new wines that we will look for at our local wine shop. Yes, you guessed it, more sampling at F & W before heading back to our hotel for a much need rest.

Wednesday morning we slept in a bit and had breakfast at our hotel. Then we played a round of mini-golf and spent a little time at the pool before heading home.

All in all, the crowds were manageable. Saturday was the busiest day, but not terrible. The CMs were all pleasant and helpful. We encountered a couple of CMs that went out of their way to engage guests in conversation. Only saw a few kids with wheelie shoes and even they were pretty well behaved considering the temptation. We saw a few kids forced to go on rides they were scared off and all were smiling and asking to go again by the end of the ride. The only thing we found annoying was the fairly large number of adults smoking throughout the parks instead of using the designated areas. Come on Disney.......enforce your own rules!!!! We saw Cm's look at the offenders, frown and then walk in the opposite direction rather than confront them.

All in all, a great trip.....as always!!!!! pixiedust:

Nice TR. Isn't it wierd having a drink with your dd. I will always think of them as my kids, never old enough to drink.

thanks so much for a great report. Our kids are now disney addicts and bring their kids too......I gotta love this part....
thanks for the wine descriptions too....

OK, I have GOT to try something besides BEER next time!!
Sounds like you had a great time!!

Interesting that Saturday was the heaviest crowd. Those trip-planning website always say that Saturdays are travel days for people, so they aren't supposed to be crowded days in the park. But I always think that there are lots of local families coming in on Saturdays.

Great TR.
