Just arrived at SSR for three night stay

We will be at DTD on Friday! How was T-Rex? Do you suggest we make a reservation? How were the prices and the food?

We were thinking about doing Wolfgang Puck Express. We (ok, I) want to keep Friday spontaneous. Dh has made a lot of ADRs for the week.

We stayed at SSR for the first time last year with developer points we got from buying DVC in 2007. I've got to tell you that I was NOT at all excited about staying there! With points we had also stayed at WLV and OKW and really enjoyed the two of them. SSR had no appeal to me.

Well, I've got to tell you that I LOVED it!! And we were there in the middle of the tropical storm so we didn't get to be outside in the resort area that much. We are hoping to get back there this year and spend more time at the resort.

We love BCVs but every time we stay at SSR we realize we love it there too. BCV is still my favorite, but I do enjoy walking in the Florida sunshine more than I enjoy walking the long hallways. And IMHO, SSR has the nicest decor.

I agree, I love SSR as well. Stayed a few times in the Paddock, the walk is the best part and allows you to enjoy the grounds.

We enjoy SSR immensely. We own at BCV too and it will always be special because it was the reason we purchased DVC. I bought SSR as an afterthought, thinking we would spend most of our time at BCV. But we miss SSR whenever we stay anywhere else. The walks are gorgeous and I think pound for pound SSR offers the best views to the most units. There's some wildcards in there, but my odds are much better that I will like the view.

It's my "stop and smell the roses" resort.
