Just done a points add on whilst staying at SSR. We have just bought 125 extra points at BLT. I was told by our guide that BLT is presently out selling AKV by 9 to 1.
We paid $99 per point for BLT which was the maximum discount available on points sales and only available for add on purchases of 125 points or more, less points and the price is higher.

We had a look round the resort and were very impressed. I especially liked the fact that the resort is by card entry only so guests staying at the contemporary or others just wanting a look round are not able to get in. As we were not actually staying there only buying we had to be escorted around the resort.
The top floor bar with the firework viewing platform I thought was very impressive. Disney have raised the bar here as well as the price.

Congratulations!!! We're staying at BLT for 3 nights from September 9th and I'm crossing my fingers DH will want to add-on - the resort looks/sounds so beautiful... 125 points would be awesome... Actually, your post prompted me to do my sums (forewarned is forearmed ) and I've worked out that 136 points would be perfect soooo - fingers crossed...

We're at BLT now in a 2-bed on the 11th floor with a view of the MK and the lake. It's very modern without being too minimalist - love the contemporary artwork. In fact, went straight down to DVC to see what current add-on incentives are as soon as we'd seen the room and I'm considering the 125 pts (which ends on Tue) like you. Karen, you might get a good deal on your cruise - the DVC salesperson on our cruise said he'd never seen such good discounts, but I hadn't seen BLT then.

Hi Joan!!! Thanks for the heads up. Spoke to DH about it last night and he seemed quite keen so I was thinking I'd contact our guide or should I wait till we're on the cruise...? Decisions, decisions...

Why not contact your guide and 'lock in' the current rates and switch across if the cruise incentives are better?? Best of both worlds then!!

We're really excited about staying at BLT for the first time in November. Given the fact that DH HATES the Contemporary with a passion. I couldn't believe it when he announced that he would like us to add on points there

Saw Wishes last night from the Top of the World lounge - amazing, although the view from our balconies is almost as good. We have a lake view, but we're on floor 11 just off-centre on the north side (8112). Apparently some guests who booked MK views have been assigned low floors and are very unhappy. We were very lucky, but checked in early after driving here straight from the cruise. Now I don't think I would use the extra points for a MK view, although we were on a wait list for one. Hope you like it too, Karen and Florence. Wonder what the new add-on incentives will be when the current ones end on Tuesday? Now I don't know whether to jump or wait

DH checked us in at 7am last Monday and we were assigned a studio on the 4th floor for a MK view room. The last thing I said to him before he left SSR was to request a high floor When he returned to SSR and told me I got us all ready and set off to CR and requested another room. Luckily we were given room no. 8018 which was on the 10th floor and perfect for a MK view. I wouldn't have been happy with 4th floor for the extra points we used
