We stayed at Pop Century on Sept 6 thru 10th. I had ordered my Daylsisi supplies to be there the day ahead. When I got there they could not find them. I called the company and they told us they sent them. After tow more days of phone tag and going to the front desk and asking if my supplies were there. (The desk person looked on the computer and looking in the back.) They finally found them on Sunday (Our last night). I dont know who to blame for it. It was never checked in and no one decided to go back and actually look. The manager gave us the it is some one elses fault. If you have any ideas on who I need to talk to please let me know. And if you are in this position I would go look for my self in the luggage area to see if it is really there.

Whoa! That is a pretty scary story.
What did you do without the supplies?

Put something in the Subject line about disabilities so it gets routed to the correct people to answer your question.
Be as specific as you can in what the problem was, what happened when and who you talked to.

That's awful! It's happened to me in hotels before, but never with anything so important.

Thank you SueM in MN. I got sick and ended up in the hospital by the time we got home. It was a shock that the manager would not help us out and find out were the problem was at.

Some general future suggestions.

1. Have your supplier give you a tracking number when they are shipped and method of shipment.

2. Prior to your departure from home. look at the shipping company's web site. Print a copy of the tracking information and bring it with you.

3. When you get there, and the tracking information shows it was received, show a copy of the tracking information to the person at the Desk.

4. If there is the indication it has arrived, do not leave the Desk. Escalate upward if necessary, to a Supervisor, Front Office Manager, or even General Manager if necessary.

5. If you were unable to get the full tracking information, showing it was delivered, prior to your leaving home, find out the fax number of the Front Desk. Then call your supplier and have them send a fax to you at the resort with the tracking information.

6. As a last item, if you are told it cannot be located, ask to speak to someone in Security. Tell them this is a health and safety issue, or that it was a theft. This brings in a different chain of command.

Cheshire Figment, thank you for posting that information. It is really good to know how to handle a situation like that.

That was great info for any of us given by CF. I just wanted to add in that a friend of mine had to send some medical supplies and she asked her supplier to require signature on receipt. When she got the the resort ( POFQ) they said they had never gotten a shipment. She called the supplier and they gave her the name off the receipt. She said there whole attitude changed and they found it with in an hour.
