Just a few thoughts from a long time listener...

What do you mean by this I'm confused.

Check the forum list when you are on WDWInfo.com and then check the list when you are on Disboards.com. They are different formats and different order. Has bugged me for a while.

There are a bunch of outdated things on wdwinfo.com like the moderator list for example I along with several other newer moderators aren't on there.

Not sure I will ever get my head around the split YouTube channel. Probably because I don't really understand someone coming to any Dis related content if they don't like the personalities of the team. Many thanks for the explanation.

Because some people just want to look at park videos and don't care about commentary.
They may just want to see a POV of a ride or a visual overview of a park.

That's how I discovered the show. I was looking for a POV of the updated Test Track ride, and their vid came up and it spiraled into getting into the regular show(s) for me.

Dis unplugged=vids with team
The dis=vids without the team
Dreams Unlimited Travel=DUT show and related promo videos

If you subscribe to all the channels on YouTube, you will always see the latest stuff show up in your subscriptions.

Except if you go to the Dis it also includes all the main podcasts and daily fixes with the team so maybe that is why I find it confusing. I do subscribe to the channels, along with about 150 other things, so the Dis can get lost in the rush of updates sometimes.

I myself like more of the long form content and less of the bite sized stuff. However, as much as it sucks I'm not the target anymore. The teens and 20 somethings are and that is who have the attention span for 10 minute videos. I would listen intently for 2 hours as Kevin and John talk about their most recent vacation but sadly that is the minority.

Anyways, I'm digging the content even if it's short form. The product is great so I definitely can't complain.

Ah, this might be where the confusion comes from.

In 2016, they shifted all the main shows to the Dis Unplugged channel.

Meaning, if you wanted to see video from Orlando edition, universal edition, or the Trip from 2015 and earlier, it is on The Dis YT channel (all separated in playlists to make it easier to scroll through).

(I assume) this is why they separated everything at the start of the year to consolidate the different kinds of content.

To the OP I agree completely with what you've said. I voiced my thoughts on housekeeping in the other thread. In my opinion it's far too long but didn't get much agreement from others. I'll just stick to doing what I do now which is skipping to the news :).

It isn't necessarily that anyone doesn't like the team. They may not even know the team exists. They may just be searching YouTube for info on WDW while planning a trip. They may not be hardcore fans who would find a Disney podcast on iTunes.

This was me! Found wdwinfo looking for printable park maps or something and it was all downhill from there. No iTunes though. No personal smart phone and won't use the work one to stream since it's not my data. :)

I'm just curious what the number are for audio vs. video. Maybe someone can start a survey on it? (I can't figure out how the surveys are done on the boards) I'm sure the team knows the numbers. I also enjoy the audio. I grew up listening to talk radio and find no need to see it. Weeks can go by before I turn on my tv. I use my computer to listen to the radio.

Lately I have been listening to the early 2007 podcasts. I loved all the conversation and Bawb talking for 20 minutes. In the last episode I heard someone made a button that had Bawb for president. Wow!

P.S. Nikki what grade do you teach?

I have enjoyed the podcast and the videos. I don't listen to the full podcast as much as I used to. But I have switched over to Using Universal as my main park so I figured that might have something to do with it. I enjoy when they have discussions about Disney for instance recently they had a discussion on if Disney has hit a wall with the crowds being low. I love discussion like this and the future of the theme parks in general.

I like the videos as well. I really enjoyed Oliver's tour of the UK pavilion and whether it authentically british which I something I wondered about myself.
