Just a few questions

Hello everyone! I have a question that I was hoping some of you experts could help answer for me!

We are going to WDW Sun 5/12 - Sun 5/18. I am getting ready to purchase our airline tickets. The best rate I have found for non-stop flights out of IND is $695 total (Dh, me, Ds (5), and Dd (1). Since we are traveling with little ones, we would rather not have to switch planes. Best rate I have found is $695.00 total (Dd(1) will be sitting on my lap). Anyhow... how far in advance do people usually book their flights? Am I jumping the gun a bit?

Also, we are bringing a double stroller to WDW. Do I check the stroller just like luggage? Do I need to wrap it in anything?

I guess you just have to decide for yourself what fare you can live with. I fly out of Boston for the most part, do only direct, non-stop flights to Orlando, and am happy with just about anything under $250 nowadays. It used to be anything under $200 but fares seem to be going up. And you have to realize that the departure times that are good for you may be a bit pricier also.
So...if you can live with that fare of $695, then go ahead and book it. I book as soon as I see a fare I can live, happily, with. If I happen to see a terrific fare way in the distance, that meets my needs, then I'll book it. Otherwise I will wait up until a few months before travel to book it...of course, I have been wrong before also. I did think the fares would go down one time, so didn't book and waited. That little experiement cost me almost $200!!!

As far as the stroller goes, are you planning on using it at the terminal as you wait at the gate? If so, you can gate check it. When you are at the gate, they will give you a tag to put on it. Then, just before you board the plane, they will take it from you and stow it. When you deplane, they will have gotten it out for you, and it will be waiting right outside the door to the plane.
