Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I've seen that! At least I think I have. If it has a CD with something about Julie Andrews on it, then yeah i've seen it. Might be thinking of something completely different though! Anyway, that's awesome. Gotta be fun to listen to.

After reading that Epic Mickey was going to have disturbing version of the IASW theme played backwards, I went out to make the song backwards to hear what it's like (by getting an instrumental version, then using Audacity to reverse the song). It's actually rather lovely. Better then the actual theme really... Don't know how they're gonna make that disturbing, but it was an instrumental version made for the DLP version of the ride, and was already rather nice played forwards.

I's 6 CDS:
1st CD: Main Street, Adventureland, New Orleans Square (19 Tracks)
2nd CD: New Orleans Square cont, Critter Country (10 tracks)
3rd CD: Frontierland, Fantasyland (10 tracks)
4th CD: Fantasyland, contd (IASW), Toontown, Tomorrowland (12 tracks)
5th CD: Tomorrowland, contd, 50th Anniversary additions (9 tracks)
6th CD: Seasonal Attractions (incl Fantasmic! and the MSEP) (5 tracks)

My absolute FAVORITE is the version of Feed the Birds played in Club 33... see if its in youtube, I highly recommend it.

IASW backwards? Hmmm I'll have to try that!

So, not the CD set i'm thinking of :p I shall do that.

Only Disney characters I can find called Ortensia are Scrooge McDuck's sister, and someone called Hortense McDuck (or Ortensia McDuck in Italian)

So crossbreeding? Weird. Why don't the Bunny Kids look like a mixture of a duck and a rabbit?

Hmm.. interesting.

I don't know, I've never heard of her... maybe that's why she's so disgruntled and out to get Mickey xD

Everyone's out to get Mickey. He turned their Disney World into a Wasteland!

Ahhh.
I haven't really been thoroughly reading those snippets but that makes sense :p

Sooo... I'm pretty excited for he Give a Day, Get A Day promotion, despite the fact I probably won't be going to the parks next year xD

I read the entire article. Yensid make his own world (similar to Disneyland, or WDW, or something) and has it as a model on his table. Mickey enters his office through a magic mirror in his house (seen Thru the Mirror? That's where that came from. Also has a scene with Mickey attacking a pack of cards with an ink pen) and finds this model. He accidently knocks over ink and paint thinner onto this model, and leaves before Yensid comes back and pins the blame on him. This causes the model to become a twisted darker version of itself, and unleashes the Phantom Blot onto the world. The forgotten characters try to fight him, but they fail and he takes over the world. I guess this made Oswald even more bitter... He tries to recreate Mickey's life, even going as far getting the Mad Doctor to make robot versions of his best friends (which explains that concept art of Goofy). Mickey goes back through the mirror one day and becomes trapped in this world, I think. He uses the paintbrush he got to help the world and escape. There's a hero concept, where your actions can change how the game moves, and also Mickeys appearance. Erasing buildings, not thinking for others, and so on causes Mickey to become more rat-like in appearance, and be more mischievous, whereas painting buildings, helping others, and so on causes Mickey to be more like he is now, with golden gloves, and the ability to turn enemies to allies)

Long explanation, but that's only part of what was mentioned.

You get to fight Peg Leg Pete dressed as a Small World Holland girl :p

I know :teeth: I love how it uses the Disney theme park rides. I wonder what else will be used. So far, it looks like IASW and Haunted Mansion. There's a chance for Spaceship Earth and Tower of Terror (if it's WDW, and the concept art is correct) but who knows. Guess we'll have to wait and find out.

Odd that thus far the IASW and Haunted Mansion concepts have been the DL incarnates, yet the ToT is clearly from the Studios.

Although, he was a show producer for DCA, too... so maybe he's not such a big loss :p

I kid; I kid. :/

Is it bad my favourite Disney pin happens to not be on the Disney Pins website? It's a diamond shaped pin with a sort of blueprint for the Spaceship Earth exterior building, and "50 years of Dreaming & Doing" over it, and Sorcerer Mickey standing in front of a 50.

There's a picture of it here.

Anyway, continue with the discussion :p

Man. Dude was passionate about DCA. I don't think I could ever see it the way he did, though. I mean... he designed Paradise Pier.

I don't want to badmouh a skilled Imagineer (I mean.. Discoveryland at DLPhas such a wonderful Verne style), but he can really justify Paradise Pier!

Odd that he shouldn't want to talk about the Bay- I wonder if that was for the failed LuminAria or for the eagerly awaited World of Color.

I don't collect pins. I have an Imaginnering lanyard, a Stitch "Fire Wall" pin (VMK... awwh), A Sally from NBXmas, Minnie as Sally, and a Mickey as Jack Skellington.

Pins are fun to collect. Do you think my favourite is a genuine pin? Haven't seen it anywhere else, and it's a limited edition of 1500... I think i'll check it again... OK, it says it's a Walt Disney Imagineering cast member exclusive. That either means it was only available to WDI, or it was only available to CM.
