Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

Mad Doctor is gonna be a part of Epic Mickey :-D That's exciting.

Of course. Imagine a Main Street Electrical Parade level in Epic Mickey :-O

Yeah, i'm sorta turning this into an Epic Mickey thread, then an imagineering thread... Soooo, anyone got any news to share?

Oh, they've added the new posters to Muppetvision 3D. Wild Frogs, Hammah Montana, Pirates of the Amphibians, High School Mayhem, and BEAK-E. See them here.

I'd love for them to bring back The Main Street Electrical Parade in 2011 for WDW's 40th Birthday.

I want the Pirates of the Amphibian poster.

Fantasyland in the Sky? Could be fun. Maybe bring Remember Dreams Come True for selected nights?

Bumping up the thread with some news!

They're started to fill in the lagoon at Disney's California Adventure. In a few weeks, you won't be able to see all the tubes, nozzles, and other stuff that lays beneath the water.

Also saw a thread on the TPAS board that highlights what's to go into the Space Mountain overhaul. The news on it is from March though, so I don't know if it's gonna happen (and whether you've read it or not...)

It all sounds pretty cool. Well except for "Queue audio is receiving a significant upgrade". It worries me that they might be taking out Star Tunnel! I wouldn't be surprised, what with the new audio at the TTA

Agreed. People who like it say it's similar to the spiel when it was called the Peoplemover. Someone posted a video of it. I watched it. I didn't like it... The original explains what the different rides are, and the voice was annoying. The TTA spiel actually gave it a storyline that you're in a working futuristic city, and this was their transportation.

Exactly.

Sometimes the original isn't always better, though with the recent park decisions, it would seem so.
The logical thing is that the more recent creations and plussings should be better, improved. Not reverted back to a primitive state.

Agreed. It's the little things that make the whole themeing better. If you take it away, it just doesn't feel the same anymore...

Bump again? *sigh*

So, a day or two ago, Sum of All Thrills opened at Innoventions in Epcot. Think of it like Hyperspace Mountain in Disney Quest, but you're on a robotic arm. You choose from rollercoaster, toboggans, and plane. You use a ruler to control the height, and a knob to control the speed. It's math-based so you can't have a small drop with the max speed, or you'll crash. you need to balance them out until you get it just right. You then put it on a card, which the CM will swipe and you get on and ride. I believe it has controlled wind so you can feel like you're really on the ride. It's going to get huge lines to do this! Hope it's still there when I next go.

It's okay to bump this every once in a while xD
I was in NYC for a week and I'm "recovering" from that :p

The Sum of All Fears is being well-recieved by guests, if Yesterland isn't lying to me.

Universal plans on implementing the robotic arms I think for a Harry Potter "broom" ride.

I'm happy to see something more ineresting be placed in Innoventions. I wish the area was a little more cohesive, though I understand its supposed to be the technology side of an "ultimate World's Fair".

I think it's going in their ride inside the castle? It's the only 'new' ride (the other being redesigns of existing rides)

I liked Storm Struck when I tried it in August. It was rather cool (though I was expecting to actually be in a hurricane simulator, and not in a viewing area of a hurricane...)

I'm just happy with the fact the MSEP will be back where it belongs next year -Disneyland.

If they move it out of the DLR I'm sure there'd be (more) anarchy. :p I kid I kid but DL locals are slightly more intense than the average WDW visitor, IMO, because they can literally pop over whenever they want and the park is under much more heavy scrutiny than the MK, for example.

Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade!

Epic Mickey looks amazing. Btw, who is Ortensia? Is she just a character made for the game, or someone significant? Maybe I should check the Oswald cartoons.

I think Ortensia was made up for the game- i've never heard of her.

So guess what I got for my Bday? A Musical History of Disneyland. It is an AMAZING set.
