I like that Disney keeps people updated with their projects. It annoys me that we barely know anything about Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey at the WWOHP. They haven't released much about the area as well. Universal had an event last night for travel sellers which allowed those participating into the area, but they weren't allowed to take photos and the main attraction wasn't open...

You know what I want to do,,I want to be Cinderella in the Park.
I know that is totally not an imagineer but, thats what I want to do!

That area was a hot set when I went to WDW in August. Actually, it might of been on in December 2008 as well...

Every bit of photography Universal has released of Harry Potter stars enjoying the WWOHP has been angled just right so the show building of the Forbidden Journey is out of shot, such as this one:

Oooh, nice.

Emma Watson goes to school at Brown University, which is just about 15 minutes away from me. People say they've seen her walking around Providence.

Aww, I was hoping for a name change to something Mary Poppins themed...

I don't really get the backstory. Well, I get it but I don't get the thing about ring spearing. The closest I could find was:

"The word carousel originates from the Italian garosello and Spanish carosella ("little battle"), used by crusaders to describe a combat preparation exercise and game played by Turkish and Arabian horsemen in the 1100s. In a sense this early device could be considered a cavalry training mechanism; it prepared and strengthened the riders for actual combat as they wielded their swords at the mock enemies. European Crusaders discovered this device and brought the idea back to their own lands.A carousel was also a training device for the ring-tilt, consisting of wooden horses suspended from arms branching from a central pole. Riders aimed to spear rings situated around the circumference as the carousel was moved by a man, horse, or mule."

It's from Wikipedia, and it has a 'citation needed' thing, so it's not very reliable.

I've been listening to DIS Radio on iTunes lately.

One of my new favorites to listen to is "It's Magical" from the TDL 10th Anniversary.

From what I can tell, it's Mickey and his friends celebrating the 10th anniversary of TDL. They talk about their favorite colors, and oh no! Maleficent! Maleficent wipes out all the colors (somehow??) and tries to take over the celebration. Luckily, Mickey is here! Mickey (somehow) beats Maleficent. The gang (who, I guess, had fled during this debocle) comes back, and Mickey restores all the colors to the party. The celebration continues and ends happily.

It's very interesting, actually.

Hiya everybody!

I don't know about you, but it's my dream, my passion, and my goal to be an Imagineer. Even if you don't want to be one, just thinking up ideas for the park can be a great deal of fun!

So, now, I present to the TB: The Imagineering Thread, for talking about all things imagineering.

Want to be an Imagineer? Great! :goodvibes Talk about that.

Have a fun idea for an attraction/land/park/show/etc.? Fantastic! Feel free to post it here to share.

Wonder how they do an effect in say, the Haunted Mansion! Awesome! I'll be happy to help you find the answer.

So.. feel free to Dream.Design.Diversify and make the magic on the brand new Imagineering thread! :wizard:

Good Luck on being an imagineer! I would love to be one when I am a bit older. I am almost 14 now but love what your doing. If I want to know a little bit more about the expansion of Magic Kingdom, should I come to you? :confused3: I'm Carissa by the way and I just want to wish you good luck!
