. She was so glad not to be with the young kids. There were 4 girls 16 to 19, so things worked out well!My daughter was 14 when did ABD last Summer. We *made* her go to the Junior Adventurer briefing with her younger brother at the Welcome Reception. She was not impressed with us for that! 
After that, however, we gave her the option to participate as she chose. Both my kids elected to do the Junior Adventurer tour of the Louvre and had a lot of fun.
