Is it really going to be closed? I just checked the schedules for the days that I'm going to be there and it says it will be closed!

I was really looking forward to checking it out since I have never, ever been on it!

I noticed it was going to be down a few weeks ago, and breathed a sigh of relief that it will re-open for the last day or two of my trip... Phew!

Knowing my luck though there will be some unforeseen problem, and it will remain shut until just after I leave

I guess that I can keep my fingers crossed that it opens early or that they have some soft openings while I'm there. I'm already missing Fantasmic, and everyone says that DLR's is better than MG-um-DHS.

Unfortunaly, since I live on the east coast and we are going to San Diego for a conference, I am limited to one of the weeks that F! is dark. I will get to see the fireworks (hopefully) and the electrical parade.

Is the electrical parade at DCA Spectromagic or is it a different parade?

The Disneyland Electrical Parade at DCA is pretty much the original Main Street Electrical Parade that ran back in the 70's at DL. It's my all time favorite parade and holds much nostalgia for a lot of DLR vets. Spectromagic was created after and is loosely based on the DEP. So no, they're not the same parade.

Maybe enrolling their skippers in comedy classes?

And hopefully elocution classes so that it is possible to understand what the heck they are saying! (Or maybe they just need new audio systems on the boats.)

I haven't read about any changes. I believe this is just a standard refurb like all the rides need from time to time.
