Saw it last night on IMAX (well, one of the small screens they call IMAX these days) and in 3D. I normally have no desire for the IMAX/3D upcharge, but it was totally worth it (well, I saw it for free, but it would have been worth it).

Just my two cents! Enjoy!

Adam, yes I am very familiar - having many first-generation Indian friends and a wife who lived there for a year - with the caste system. My answer was tongue-in-cheek because I just don't understand your question. You apparently know the movie is set in India but if you are otherwise unfamiliar with the content, the short answer is no, it is not.

Now maybe you are asking if The Jungle Book is a metaphor for India's caste system. If so, then the answer is no, not that I could tell. Was the original work supposed to be? I really don't know...but I suppose one could interpret the movie as such if one tried hard enough.

It looks like an amazing version, I can't believe how realistic it is! I won't be seeing it in 3D (eye issues), but I'm sure it will still be lovely.

This movie is getting praised by critics. Looks like I'll be checking it out this weekend :)

If I get time, I also wish to check this out soon. More than anything, the positive critiques of this movie so far have piqued my interest.

Headed to the 3d IMAX theater for this one in a couple hours. This is getting raves and looks stunning. Can't wait.
