June vs. September?

Hi everyone! I'm having a bit of a planning dilemma and was hoping for some advice. Currently we are planning a trip over Labor Day weekend (a quick 3-night/2 park day trip), however I'm considering moving the trip up to June 1st-5th in order to be able to extend our trip by a day. Just how much worse are the crowds and heat the first week in June vs. the first week in September?

Haven't done the first week of June, but have done the second week several times, and have also done Labor Day. Crowd wise, June will be less...but as I say in all crowd threads...it's WDW, it's going to be very crowded any time you go. The heat (presuming no unusual heat or cold waves) will be similar, maybe slightly hotter on Labor Day, but barely.

We tried sept last year.we normally go in Nov second week in sept last year was low 90 s every day with heat index of 100- 103 ...back to nov for us

I would go first week of June. All northern schools are still in session. Weather will be much worse in Sept. Hot, daily rain, hurricane season.

It will be much wetter, humid and still hot in september. The crowds will be about the same, might actually be a little less as your talking about labor day weekend. It'll be the first week of summer crowds but not the peak of summer crowds.. It's also the end of the disboards anniversary week with a private epcot party available on june 1 :)

Now the unknown is pandora. It's going to pack the please all year but I think with how they are doing these previews and other things it might make the first week a little more controlled. Or it can be chaos for the next year or be a huge flop. nobody really knows.. What I do see is summer discounts that aren't as good as they were last year so there is an uptick in people staying.

My vote is for September. Yes, it's hot. But it'll be hot in June, too. We were there LD last year, and ON LD it was pretty crowded, but after that it was like the crowds completely disappeared and it was really slow. We did have one day in the week where it absolutely poured buckets and I got super wet, but we dried out and it was ok. We expected it. Overall, I think the crowds will be better in September.
