I have a June UY with just about 300 points. I had bought both contracts and am a first time owner as of the end of last year. So my first official trip as a DVC owner was supposed to be...May.
Luckily for me, my amateur self ended up banking and borrowing points in a weird way so I only have about 50 points at stake. But those 50 points are from a direct 75 points contract.
I moved all my borrowed points back to 2020 already. I'm still holding onto a reduced reservation that uses those 50 points - because what's the worst case? I lose them? I'm hoping Disney finds an overall resolution and afraid if I cancel the reservation I won't be eligible when/if they do. I'm also going on a pipe dream that Disney will look at my welcome home trip and take pity and perhaps give me one time use points. But the reality is I've gone through my 6 stages of grief, accepted that Disney doesn't HAVE to do anything, and have accepted that I will most likely lose them and get nothing in return.
