I'm going to lose 20 points. We had Memorial Day weekend, the 23-25 booked. The first night was on my Oct UY contract, I was able to cancel and bank those points into 2020 so I could book a weekend in February that is available. The second night was using my 2019 June UY points, those apparently are just ... expiring.
The only thing that kind of bugged me was that I stated when I called to the CM, I'd like to move both of these nights to Feb, when there is availability, and so he cancelled both nights, banked my Oct UY points, made the booking for Feb, then told me I couldn't move my June UY points forward. (I honestly didn't know if they were borrowed 2020 points, I booked trip 9 months ago, planned this AP year long before that!)
If I had known that before, I would have asked them not to cancel the night of May 24, which now can't be booked. If the points can't be used after June 1, 2020, even if the parks aren't open and by some miracle Newsom allows hotels to open by the end of May, I think it would be worth it to go spend a night at my home resort. Or just letting the night go unused since its a lot more likely the resorts will still be closed.
I guess the good news is I used most of my 2019 points in Sept/Dec/Feb of 19-20 from this contract, I just was so excited to have the perfect Disney Annual Pass/DVC year booked with 5 different weekends from Sept 19-Sept 20 and now, not so much.
The CM kept pushing the RCI option. I don't think 20 points can get anything good in RCI, and quite honestly I'm not a fan of most of the properties RCI has in any location I'd like to use it in.
Posting to follow along in case anyone hears any news. I know I could just press "Watch thread" but this seemed like the best place to sort-of vent and commiserate with all the June UY members.
