June to AUgust discount

Hi all,

I was so excited to hear of this discount (not only because it seems i might be able to save a bit of money on my trip) because it means that our trip is getting closer. Just a couple of quick questions so that I book my trip right when the new discount goes public :worried: I'm hoping to book 6 nights at WL with hopefully the 30-35% off as part of a package. We are planning to do 5 park days so when i'm booking the package through the disney website (not making an international phone call) do i pick 4 day park tickets and have the extra day free added or do i just select 5 day tickets and the extra day free is taken in to account automatically? (I know it's all provided that they don't alter the offer when it is made public:goodvibes)

Also how do i know if i received a bounceback? I have made many trips to disney now staying onsite about half the time, but i dont ever recall seeing a bounceback. What should i be looking for? I know i definitely have never received a PIN, I'm assuming they are different...

As always thanks for any help :worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

I have the Visa and as I said called to get the discounts on my room. The first part of my stay is with a package with the tickets and I did Not get any discount on the prices of the tickets. I'm not sure if anyone else has, if they want to see they can just go on Disney's website and individually price out the tickets they have. It's not as if the discount on that would be that great anyway because the way tickets are it's really the first few days that cost the most anyway and then the last days on your tickets are not as much.
In addition, in reading my Mousesavers newsletter, I don't see anything about this extra ticket, so I'm not really sure what that is all about.

2nd, I would definetly have a few back up scenerios on resorts in mind. Depending on your dates, there are problems with room styles and even resorts being available on the discount already. For example, I do not know the WL room structures, but you may feel you could greatly afford WL with a standard view with the discount. But when you call, they say they only have waterview available at the discount, which is pricier. I could'n't get standard or even garden on one of my selections.

Some people have seen stand up cards in their rooms in the past or a flyer in their rooms for bouncebacks. But most people if they don't see that will simply ask while they are there, and then book it before they leave.

You must purchase a minimum 6 day ticket in order to get the ticket portion of the deal.

Okay, so I just booked this. I had a AAA discount on POR for early Aug. (6 night) and this did not save me money. However, it was the same price because they had only Pool, River or RR available under the discount and I had a garden booked with theAAA. So, I used the new discount to upgrade to the pool because the kids would like that for sure. But, the 2nd part of my split stay was at BC Garden view. The funny thing was that it was going to cost me the same here as with my AAA because the discount was only showing less of a discount (garden was available). However when I asked to switch to Garden at YC I was able to get a bigger discount and saved $200 off of our 4 day RO res. So, the bottom line is I got an upgrade at one and saved $200 off the other. Better than nothing.

I have aaa as well Right now this doesn't save me any money hopefully I can upgrade

Call extension 8844 from your room phone and ask about bouncebacks. If they have them, then they will give you one even if you don't have a flyer in your room.

I read in other threads that the bouncebacks aren't always a flyer in the room anymore. Check the blue booklet you get at check-in for bounceback offers.

I think I need to amend this statement. I just did all the math out on the tickets with the one free day and the math on the room I got with the discount and it all works out, so I guess I did get the free ticket. It's just so confusing when it's a package to work out the math. Sorry for the confusion.

Doesn't matter. All resort guests are eligible even if there is no information in your room. So always call because sometimes there are more than one going on anyway.

The discount you are discussing that should come out tomorrow (Monday). Is the percentage off just applied to the room reservations or to the entire package. I have a 7 night package for three people.

Thanks!! :wave2:

Only the exclusions listed at the bottom. It would be 30/35% since it isn't listed at a lower discount.

Great, thank you!

I was also curious as to why you have to call in immediately after hearing the discount announcement. We already have a reservation that I'm hoping to change once the discount is available. Are the discounts limited or something? Thank you! :)

Yes, there are limited availability , what you want has to be rooms left for that with the discount. I just got YC yesterday, so they have that. But they may run out of like garden view and only have a different view or something. I had a reservation already at BC garden but had to switch over to YC garden. It could be as simple as you getting what you already have, but only if there are still rooms for discount available for that, not simply everyone who has a room just gets it applied to their existing reservation.

Hello. I was wondering when the deals go live online? I know that I can call at 6 am central time but I was hoping to price it out online before I change my reservations. Also, how many changes to your package can you make? I was booked at the Contemporary and then switched to AoA and then switched again to get the free memory maker deal.

Thank you

If you want to price it now, go online and put in your scenario. For example if YC and more than 6 days take total (do room only) and then take 35% off. Other resorts are different value. If under 6 days it would only be 30%. So, take the total and subtract 35% from that. Write that down.
Then go to tickets and price tickets only for what you want exactly, but if you wanted 8 days, just put in for 7.
Now add those 2 numbers together.
Takes a little time, but not much once you get the hang of it.

Does the ticket deal only kick in if you are buying 6 days or more? My planned trip is 7 days/6 nights, but we had planned to only go to the park 5 days. Just curious!

Yes, it is a minimum 6 day ticket requirement for the bonus ticket deal.

I've tried calling twice to get the discount on a Cabin for the night before our cruise in July. I was told there was a 2 night minimum to get the discounted Disney Visa rate. I can't find this stipulation anywhere, but the two different CMs gave me the same numbers on the cabin using the AAA discount. There are 6 of us, so the cabin works well. We could do 2 rooms, but the cabins are cheaper. We may stay in a DTD resort (about $100 less expensive), but being able to charge to the room is convenient for us. Still undecided....
