Have never used ME at Poly before, but with the construction going on at the entrance, I'm wondering how that will affect ME there. What about check-in? Any thing we should know about parking and going in for check-in? (We're driving and rest of family are flying.)

Happy to hear that there will be food service locations open, as well as both pools. So we're wondering in what ways the construction might affect our stay.

Thanks for your help!

Front desk relocation to Pago Pago building and ME using that parking area from pickup and drop off. Currently not all food options open.

I will need to search for a resort map of Poly to see where that is located. Also, as I understand it, Kona's and Captain Cook's are both open. We're just happy to see a food service location open as we were originally planning to stay at AKL Jambo that doesn't have any food service options.
Thanks!

FYI- When we stayed at the VGF back in Dec 2020, we walked over to the Poly to eat and shop. At that time construction crews were working on buildings Tuvalu, Fiji, Tonga, and Aotearoa (which are on the GF side). The DVC buildings, which includes Pago Pago, are on the TTC side. You will park in the DVC parking lot which will be on your right as you drive through the guard gate.

Thank you. I did find a resort map and saw the parking area. You mentioned shopping at Poly this past Dec, so there is a gift shop open? Does it carry milk and other grocery type items?

I was just there and DME dropped at Poly before taking me to BLT. It was pretty much in a similar area....it just stopped before the main building vs. going to it.

Yes, the stores are open. Upstairs in the Great Ceremonial House, Moana Mercantile will have groceries and souvernirs. Downstairs, Bou Tiki has apparel, souvenirs...

I just want to add that you can walk to the TTC to catch the "resort" monorail, if you want to eat or shop at any of the other monorail resorts (BLT GF)
A walking path to TTC is located near Moorea

Just keep in mind that it closes an hour after park and they shut down access to TTC early this past week. DD and her boyfriend went over to pick up food at Captain Cooks. We were at BLT. They left around 6:45 pm when MK closed at 7 pm. By 7:30, they could not get on at TTC and had to walk to Grand Floridian To catch it back.

ETA. People could get off..just no way to get on.
