It is summer and that means it’s time to pack up the car for another family trip to WDW! We’ve got a great trip planned and to help me keep my head from exploding from excitement, I thought I’d do a pretrip report. The whole family is helping me put it together. Want to meet them? In lieu of the normal introductions, Jake put together our own WDW player cards. (Can’t say rookie, because we are far from that!)

First, our fearless leader, you know him, you love him….It’s Chuck!! He is our principle photographer and walking wallet.

Next is me, Lynn, keeper of the report and schedule.

Our web master and techno geek, Jake.

And last, but nowhere near least, our spirit of fun and adventure, Em.

9 More Days!!!

This summer we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We got a really great deal for our ten day stay (!!!). Our first trip in 2002 was at Riverside. It’s where our obsession began. We haven’t stayed there since 2006, so we are really excited about being back there again. We’ve requested a room in the Bayou section so Em can have her little trundle bed. I love the mansions, but all the vegetation in the Bayou section makes it feel secluded, a welcome thing after a day of skin to skin contact with a bunch of strangers.

It is a beautiful resort! So peaceful with the gardens and lots of pools! I'm ready to go today!

I'll keep an eye out for you! Our plane leaves at 6:45 AM(!!!) on Saturday. We live a little over an hour away from the airport, so we are trying to decide to get up extra early or get a room by the airport the night before.

Thanks for your comment on the title! I thought about it for weeks and couldn't think of a thing, then just typed that in a the last minute. Pretty much ensures we'll get a room in the mansion section though... No worries!!

But look at it this way, you have all this time to plan, to read other people's trip reports and learn from all our mistakes. By the time your trip rolls around, you will have the most magical, beautiful trip planned and we will be at home, terribly jealous of you!!
