June, July, August PLANNING thread

Hey everyone. I thought I would join in on this thread also! Trying to get as much July info as possible.

We are heading down again this year, but had to move our May trip to July 19th - 27th.

So excited about planning.

Already made some ADR's......and already changed some It's an obsession!!

it hasnt been good since i got back from florida... so ive just been out of it not really interested in much.

first i got fired from my job on halloween. stupid reason too. a rule that no one knows about. ive asked around and no one does know about that

that fungal mengitis injections, first there was a scare with my mom, she got checked out and she was fine. but we just found out maybe a month ago that my stepdad has it. so he hasnt basially had it for 6 months and we never knew. so obviously it did major damage. my stepdad had to have surgery.. had that a couple weeks ago.. they put him on the meds for it. he started having some bad side effects. mom was getting worried. he was talking to himself, hallucinating, fatigued... They have changed the dosage since then and he has been better. so it was just as i told mom. I told her not to worry that side effects from the meds was probably what it is.. then (who says tv catch teach us anything) i was watching an episode of bones, and it was were they had a type of fungal mengititis possibly in the lab, so they had to shut down, when they gave the ppl the injections for the meds, as a precaution they listed the side effects and it was all exactly what he was having..after i told her about that, she calmed down a bit...

the onyl good point, if u can call it that..is that the lawsuits against teh company for the tainted injections. we have a lawyer. and guessed estimated 6-20mil minimum settlement to each person. ive already been promised my dream disney trips. said i was 3 trips. 2 to disneyworld, one at xmas time, i want to see the castle lit up, and a 2nd cuz i couldnt wait till Xmas, and a disney cruise(probably linked with one of the trips). with my sister, her boys, my 15-year old cousin, and my hunnie James.
they were also doing all that dreaming about the money. Mom wants her mustang, i told her no GT, stepdad wants a houseboat, and to take mom to Vegas...paying off the bills goes without saying..

so its been.. ugh.. i dont even know how to describe it since i got back from Florida.. maybe i just shouldnt leave florida next time!

Candi, nice to hear from you. Started thinking you where snowed in up in Canada. Sounds like alot going on.

We have had some very weird weather here. Of course I was working 12hr shifts so missed the 2 days in the 60's. Down to 14 degrees today and of course I am here. It snowed yesterday. Only about an inch. Just enough to be pretty.

Hello from the Great White North!

What crazy weather this past week. It was in the 50s one day and down to the 20s that same night.

Did you hear about the huge pile up on I75 South outside of Detroit? Two young kids were killed from Windsor in the accident. It was very sad. The weather changed so quickly on Thursday it was very odd. I was driving to the Dentist and it went from clear to white out in only a few minutes. That was in the afternoon after the accident.

I took a friend and her daughter over to Detroit today to look for a wedding dress for the daughter. The boarder was the quietest I have seen in at least 15 years....I had to wonder if the snow that was falling and the recent event made people stay home.

TP2 & Tomar, Worrying about both of you. Looks like your about to be nailed again. Been a bad year for weather for both of you.
We where so lucky. Just 30 miles north of us > got a lot of snow too. But, we where just dusted.

EE22, Where you hit, or a near miss too? Could not tell from the weather TV.

Candi, sorry, no did not see that. Sad. Makes everyone think twice.

Been doing a little tweeking on our April trip. Starting to get excited.

The weather was bad a couple of hours north east of us but we only had about 3 inches fall and some freezing rain but not too bad.

Hi Everyone!!! Well, if you have been watching the news and see cars abandoned on the road under 30" of snow...that is where we are ! We are okay. Have power, which is all I really cared about. But no school tomorrow. They still have not really plowed too much here. I guess just too much snow and our equipment can't handle it. So they had to wait until they could borrow from other areas. That is the word, I guess you have to take it for the truth!

Bug, thanks for asking. Hope everyone is well. Glad everyone is enjoying planning their trips.

Thank you so much for asking about us Bug and MKY ....we are doing ok here in Jersey as well !!...Got much less snow then TP2 did , and honestly, we are thankful as well that our power stood on through all of the Blizzard.....

To all of our Northeast Diser's- Hope everyone is doing well. Stay warm, dry and safe. Can not imagine what you are going through.

Just a little wind and rain for about 4 hours last night is all we received in Texas.

So this storm hit on Friday through Saturday morning, tried to get to the doctor today and after an hour in the car we only got 3 miles, had to turn around. No school again tomorrow. Kids will be in school all summer. Plus they are predicting more snow for Thursday!

I hope so. DH had work today. His school is further from "ground zero" as they are calling it here. We live in the heart of it. I think at this point the main roads are okay but side roads are still impassable. We only got plowed once, so there is a path on our block. So many others don't have that. We have volunteer EMS and Firefighters on our block so I am sure we got plowed so they can get out in an emergency. We gave back 5 days and have 3 days built in to the schedule so we are over by 1 now. Trouble is they are calling for more snow tomorrow on top of this mess.

We all need to move to florida. I am always a little worried about hurricanes, but we all have bad weather in one way or another.
I know, added school days are Girls will not be pleased.
I must admit thou > [[ knock wood ]] has not been terrible here, yet ?? Maybe our luck will hold.

We have had an issue with our boys. With the rain and small snows >> they think the yard is their faucet. They are not allowed free water, at all, due to their condition. So we have had some extra work with them. They can't seem to catch on that it is not good for them and will make them sick.

Well, we are half through feburary. So getting closer to spring break for all. WooHoo!

Bob here !! AKA RHMH - Please don't laugh at my attempt to answer your question.

Very hot during the summer and early fall. Humid at times.. Winter can be pleasantly comfortable. SNOW and ICE!!! it comes and goes we can get 1 or 2 snow falls with 1.5 inches in one day with temp in the teens. Next day it can get to 50 and all of the snow would melt away with in a couple of hours.

ICE is dangerous around here when we get it. We can log 200 accidents with in 1 hour of people going to work.

We received about 8 inches of the most beautiful powdery, fluffy snow 10 years ago on Valentine's Day. It was so soft, we could not make snow balls or a snow man, no matter how hard we tried.

Like I said, don't laugh. If we received half of the snow you guy's get Dallas and Fort Worth would shut down.....
