Minnie-almost time for the birthday trip !!

We are down to single digits only 1 week from today

Happy and sad that my "baby" will be turning 16

Are the tour groups still there in August??? The zillions of them where there last year during our July trip and wow just wow about the FP machines

Minnie...I think the tour groups are gone by now according to TP2.

I guess I didn't mind them as much ONLY because they were keeping Disney in business this summer. The parks were DEAD and I mean DEAD. I guess park attendance is off by 26%.

I would not be in favor of one person and one FP ticket either as a family of 4...we always do FP runs. TSM is a problem as is Soarin'. They will continue to be until there is another big ride in those parks to pull people away. Coasters won't do it either because all ages won't ride it.

Even without the tour groups, the FP for TSM and Soarin' run out very early in the day if you travel at a busy time. These were the only two rides in the last several trips that had the FP times pushed way out. SM was the same as was Peter Pan at MK. In the end the popularity of the ride impacts the FP times. There is no good solution for the issue.

Tomar, Welcome home! Sorry about your long wait at MCO. At least its like a mall in there. Beats chicago airports by far. It was so extra special spending time with the tomar's and EE22's. By far, my best wdw experience. That lady at the FP machine, had a big vacation, I think we where behind her several times. Her family had already gotten in line too and I believe she had to crawl over me, to "catch up",

Yes, the Teen groups are usually gone come august. They are usually gone by the first week.

TP2, 15 days to go! Hope the house is coming togther. Better start

Candi, Hope they get your city straightened out fast for the allergies. Have never been to cedar point, not a coaster nut. We had been to kings island a few times. But, not even sure if its still there in Cinncinati, Ohio.

Enjoying unusal weather here in Illinois today. It was in the 50's this am. and High in the 70's. But sunny for a change.

Bug, has started dinner. She said to tell Tomar, she is making Chicken Cacciatore. I did ask her to. Come on over.

I agree Tomar, but those tour groups DON'T CARE and many are RUDE. That's a whole different topic. Disney won't say no to them as long as they bring the $$ in. I heard a man complaining about them one day at DHS and the manager wouldn't even listen. Very sad...it's all about the cash. That is obvious when they raised prices today in this economy.

I don't normally do photopass either, but since we took the time to see Tink and I knew the borders were cute...we did that one day at MK and then for some reason I used it for Minnie.

DH noticed that DL11 and I did a pic a long time ago...maybe our 2003 picture and she is standing in front of me with the Castle shot and she's just above my waist. Where has the time gone?I ordered the one with DL11 and I and the castle too.

I ordered the Easy Spirits in black and white sandles. I wasn't sure about them, but I wore them to work yesterday and I did well in them. Not sure how I would do for walking at WDW, but perhaps my students won't make fun of them!! I would order the tennis shoes, but too hard for a fit with mail order and no one in the state sells them...so I'll have to stick with the sandles. I figured I could get by with less of a good fit with sandles. Thanks for the info.

I am sorry we missed the trip. It sounds like everyone had such a good time together.

Our house is filled with animals, so EE22 - you can feel free to visit any time you want to see a bit of Canada. We have two cats, a big dog, and we are down to one fish now. DD13 wants to get some exotic pet, but I keep telling her no way. Since I have to take care of them, they are going to be something I don't mind having and cats and dogs are pretty much the norm for us. We always had a dog and a cat when I was growing up.

I think Disney should issue fast passes separately for the tour groups. They should be issues a time during the day by guest services and then the fast passes would take into account the size of the group coming back and not issue passes for that block of time. In July 2008 we entered the fast pass line and discovered the entire tour group had returned at the same time and we waited 40 minutes for Soarin because the filled the fast pass line

Then there would not be any huge line ups at the machines and the tour operators would like it to. The same rules would apply for when they could use them and when a new one would be issued.

The soccer kids seemed to be the most rude. I had to have management tell them to stop swearing when we did the Ellen ride. F bombs dropping all over the place. I got the finger from one kid but he did shut up afterwards.

MKY-....I made an appt. for the dentist for this week....I was lucky that most of the tooth had filling insde it...so the emamel that ended up coming off (forgot to mention that ...happened the next day)......left the tooth with alot of silver to secure it....we called our dentist from world the next day anyway...he looked up my chart and told me that most of that tooth was filling anyway....I just don`t need to start a root canal right now....the kids are coming up the first week of Sept !! (Im gonna have my Perfectly Princess for a week at Gramma`s house ....YAAY ...so Im hoping he can just mend the tooth and we`l go from there.....thank you for asking mky !
I actually had a couple of mishaps this trip....about half way into our time at the BWV....I slipped and fell going in the pool....O-M-G !!...I thought I wasn`t gunna be able to walk , my big toe turned purple emmediately, as did my wrist ...but God was good, and I was able to walk with my crocs. (Hurt...but not disabled thank goodness).......
Of course we can`t leave out 9 hours in MCO comeing home........so this was certainly an adventureous trip !!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....but the highlight was seeing wishes with all of my Disney friends ......................that`s for sure !!!
Ya gotta try "Fresh"..it is a great restaurant...we had actually booked it for breakfast after checking into the BWV (figured we`d walk over the bridge to the Dolphin )...but check-in took longer than we expected, and Breakfast turned into "Brunch".....the food is very good....and Desert is included with whatever you order....(which was the best part of my lunch ...LOL).....Mr. tomar couldn`t have the deserts..and Fresh didn`t have anything sugar free (because we didn`t call in advance)....except fruit......but Mr. Tomar loved his lunch so it was all good !!
We saw the fountain that your speaking about ....alot of people were there having lunch or I guess an Ice Cream or something "Yummy" to eat !
we did do the Photopass , but I just didn`t get a chance to bring up the pictures with the card yet...but as soon as I do..I will send them to you all Ladies !!

Hiya everyone,

Big planning day for us. I got my October schedule at work and we could leave friday [thought about thursday nite] and so we added a day. Got everything changed over: car, air, and we will stay pors for the extra day. Then move to the poly the next day. Can't believe everything got switched around already. I even made adr's for the day.

I can't believe how fast the weekend flew by. Why doesn't it do that when I'm working it?

Tomar:What a trip. I am glad you were still able to walk. And your tooth on top of it. Things seem to snowball don't they. I am happy that your family is coming for a nice visit. We did NOT have that weather here on the island last Wednesday. But, I will tell you that we saw those clouds in the distance and I was on edge by the pool all day. Only a couple of drops of water though. Nothing crazy.

MKY: Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a wonderful dinner last night.

Candi: Maybe we can ship our dog to you. He is really good, it is just something else to deal with. DD5 was saying tonight that she hates dogs because they ruin your house. I told her kids do the same thing but we keep em!

Minnie: Are you in the World yet? You must be packed and ready to leave if not. All of a sudden we are leaving in 2 weeks and I am way behind. I need another week.

We had a heat burst here this morning. Knocked out our power with the storm...not a fun morning getting ready for registration in the dark and then the sump pump didn't work nor the back up.

I guess they are very rare and happen more in the plains. Ain't that grand?

Can't c/o of our weather here, in chicago. It is beauitful. Hoping florida in October is comparable. They said we willl be over 100 this weekend, so here comes august.

Candi, they had car news on the tv here today. Guess, ford has brought the taurus to chicago plant. They are all thrilled. Its a very big deal. They have threatened to close that plant for years. Guess, this is a good sign. How is the economy doing up in Canada? Can you see a difference when your in Detroit vs. Canada?
