TP2, Thanks. Last night cost us a 5 nite trip to wdw. Very expensive. But he is our baby. Vet has not called. I am taking that as a good sign. 3 more hours and we pick him up.

mky

MKY:cutie:- I am so sorry about Vader....I hope the meds will work for him !!:darth:

TP2- hope all is well with Sully too...Even though its your pet, the love you have for him/her is just as deep as some humans some times !

EE22- Hope this weekend goes well !!! Happy Graduation to DL11 !!!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!

Candi- Hope all is going well with your new job !:goodvibes

Wishing everyone a wonderful Memorial day weekend !!...Looks like the Sun finally graced us with her presence (since its been raining for the last 2 weeks here .)....The last couple of days it has been beautiful out ....Beach weather !!:beach:
Mr. Tomar and I are planning on going to see POTC 4 this weekend !!pirate:
Can`t wait !! :yay:
Well.. our trip is in 47 more days :goodvibes....I can`t believe its practically upon us !!

Happy weekend Everyone !! :grouphug:

Hiya everyone, :yay:

Well, things are a bit better now. He has stabilized and we are using seziure drugs. So nothing since this am. He is looking like himself again. Long 2 days. :sad2:

Working this weekend. But it is POURING out again. Thunder is rolling. Been for the last 2 days. Tomar, hoping it waits till tuesday to reach you & tp2. Thinking the rest of us are all in this rain.

EE22, wanted to give you a heads up. 55 went under construction [yes again]. i 80 is under terrible construction through here. So if going to depaul or grandma's be prepared. Its not summer if Illinois is not ripping up the interstates. popcorn:: Congrat's to DD [all around :)]

TP2, Last week vader was scratching and scratching > vet said this weather dries out there skin. We where worried about fleas [didn't see anything] or skin rashes [also didn't see any] but he kept it up.

Tomar thanks. How was POTC4? We got to find sometime to get there. Congrat's on the 40's!

Have a great weekend all. :grouphug:

mky:cutie:

MKY: So glad that Vader is doing better and is home.:cloud9:
I don't know what was wrong with Sully. Gave him a flea dip yesterday and nothing but when he was wet saw one spot that was looked like a broken blood vessle from where he was biting constantly. I think it is the warm weather. He has been acting funny since the weather heated up.

EE22: Congrats to the graduate!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Tomar: Praying that rain MKY is talking about does NOT come our way. I have had enough of rain. For the first time in 14 years that we live in our house, we have some mold on the outside siding and in the window sills. I have been spraying bleach but it is worse than I have ever seen. Need to really scrub this stuff and DH is going to have to power wash.:headache:

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

mky...I am so sorry about Vader:sad2:Dogs are a part of the family that is for sure.

I hope Sully is okay too now.

They are like babies as they cannot talk either to tell you what is wrong.

sorry I haven't been around...it's been nuts here. DL11 won state and it's been a whirlwind ever since. Graduation is today and then I hope things calm down, but I'm thinking NO!

I have a huge mess with DS's stuff home...must attack that tomorrow and Tuesday with DH's help and massive loads are going to Goodwill from my decoration closet. Time to purge the storage closet. And, get to the luggage which is in the downstairs room!!!:scared1:

Thanks for the heads up on the construction mky. My parents hit BAD traffic when they came for state...they came back out (long drive!!) for graduation and said they had cleared it away for the holiday weekend so it was better.

We'll go the 88 Tollway for DePaul which is the end of June. Time is going to fly this summer. Both kids have a job. I'm going to just work on getting them ready for the fall. I guess that's my life each summer till 2015 and I'm okay with that.

Our dining is all made except one Fantasmic! which I cannot make for a few weeks yet.

We are at 42 days. I tried to read up on DL yesterday, but didn't get very far. I guess with 6 days at 2 parks we'll just wing it too. That's sort of what we did at Universal except for Harry Potter and then we only had to arrive early.

We went to POTC4 for DL11's 18th birthday. It was excellent. Went last Sunday and it was delayed due to tornadoes earlier in the day so DH and I were very tired Monday for work.

I am DONE with work. Of all the years I needed to be done before graduation it was this year. Hands down, this was the worst year of teaching in 25 years. Yup...got my 25th anniversary letter...big deal. When we first met on the thread it was my 20th!!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!

EE22 - congrats on the 25 years of teaching! I think that is a huge accomplishment.:goodvibes

MKY - I am glad Vader is doing better. It is so hard when they are not well. Hopefully the meds will help him out.

Did you see the huge storm front the broke up in just the right stop to miss Detroit and Windsor....It was like the parting of the red sea on the radar...incredible!

TP2 - put a little neosporin or polysporin on the spot that is bugging him. It is okay if they lick a little of it. I buy the stuff with the "pain relief" as it helps take away any itch or hurt they may have. Yes it is safe for the pets. Ginger has allergies and will brake out in spots and it really helps.

Tomar - the job is going well. I am putting in a few too many hours still but I hope to bring that down a bit in the next few weeks.

I was at the college teaching again this weekend and it was hot and sunny. I used sunscreen but still ended up with a light burn. Nothing too bad but I do need to buy some SPF chap stick.

My leather and riding gloves are too hot for summer in a parking lot, so I am going to have to buy some lighter riding gear. :cool1:

I booked an Alaska cruise with Norweign for July 24th for DD15 and myself. DD 12 does not want to go and my husband was not really into the idea either so they are going to stay home and plan a little trip together...maybe to Cedar Point. :goodvibes

Evening everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend. This is my last week working 8 hr x 5day shifts. I am starting 12hr x 3 days next week. Hoping things at home will be better, if I am there a bit more. So hoping its not too much physically and it works out.

EE22, I cannot image. You must be nuts. And your going to california once this all settles down. WOW.

Candi, glad you missed the storms. The cruise sounds good.

TP2, hoping you pup feels better too soon. Are the girls home yet, Summer break? Hoping you guys don't get our rain too. So it must be an "island" thing mold? I am thinking long island, must be an island?

Tomar, hoping you miss our rain too. Feeling better yet? :wizard:just in case.

Vader is definately feeling better. Now, we have to stop staring at him waiting for another seziure. :scared1:

We still havent seen the POC4 movie yet. Maybe soon? Did everyone like it? What did you think?

mky:cutie:

Hi Ladies !!:goodvibes

MKY- so glad that Vader is feeling better !!:darth:...and ..yes....I hope TP2 and I skip the rain coming from your neck of the woods ...we have had quite enough of it in the month of may ! :upsidedow
Mr. Tomar and I went to see POTC 4 last night...It was GREAT !!...Won`t give anything away, but you have to see it !! :goodvibes
Im feeling alittle better, new med is working well

EE22- I "KNOW" your glad the school year is over !! WHOO HOO :woohoo:...You guys will be off to DL before you know it !!:woohoo:
Hope DL11 had a wonderful Graduation day....she looked Amazing !!! :cloud9:

TP2- Hope Sully is doing better !!...:goodvibes

Candi- glad you missed the storms also...Ive been watching the news regarding those poor people that lost loved ones and all their worldy possessions ...it is soooo sad ! :sad2:

Hope everyone had a good Memorial day weekend !!:grouphug:
We are at 44 more days until our trip !!!! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone: We had some rain this morning but no crazy storms. Thank goodness. All the storms have been just awful. Does not seem real.

MKY: I would much rather work 3 long days than 5 shorter ones. That is a no brainer. So happy for you.

Sully is doing well. Not sure what his problem was, I think it was him getting adjusted to the heat. I am glad to hear that Vader is doing better. No one wants a sick pet.

Yes MKY, Long Island is an island. We take a bridge to get anywhere but that is scary. Got forbid of any kind of disaster we are doomed.:scared1:

No summer break here yet. We still have 4 weeks of school. Which is why we get to vacation in August for so cheap!!!:rolleyes1 We don't go back until after Labor Day. Fine with me!!!

Hope everyone has a great week.

TP2 - I think your schools are on the same schedule that ours are. We go until the end of June then back the Tuesday after labour day.

I am glad that the pets are on the mend. It is so hard when they are not feeling well. My 4 year old cat is the only male pet in the house and if he stays outside during the night he gets his but kicked because he is small....I am use to treating him at home but there are times he needs to see the vet and I can't help but over watch him like MKY is doing with Vader.

We had another sunny day here today. I little rain in the early morning was all. Watch now, it will get so dry the plants and lawn with be dying for water.:sad2:

Tomar, So glad its working. :thumbsup2 Now, did you wait through the credits? Is there something on the end again?popcorn::

TP2, :rotfl: Island. :lmao: I am picturing dunes, sun, and sea grass. ?? How exotic. I can go down and look at the illinois/michigan canal if I want to see our waterway. Ick. No islands any where around here.

Candi, sounds like your cat has "little man syndrome". :lmao::idea: He thinks he is way tougher than he is. I read the prince's [kate & wills] schedule and they don't sound like they will be in your neck of the woods, sorry. Unless you drive to montreal?

mky:cutie:

Rain, rain, rain. Yesterday was nice, but it's rained since last week here. I should go pull the grass from my flower beds when it stopped. They are a MESS.

One huge job done with sorting the bedroom and pitching and donating. DL11 got through her closet too. Can't imagine her packing her stuff for school with clothing in her closet from 7th grade!:confused3 DS had a huge load too that I gave to the school since he dropped 65 pounds and nothing in his closet fit.

DL is stressing me out...guess I'll just "go with the flow" since I have to read up on DePaul too which is a lot more important!! We go to DePaul the end of June.

42 days though. I have to buy our tickets! :scared1:

Tomar, So glad its working. :thumbsup2 Now, did you wait through the credits? Is there something on the end again?popcorn::

mky:cutie:

MKY- :cutie: thank you, mee too about the meds !! :goodvibes
YES- there is something at the very end of the credits , but I won`t spoil it for you, ya gotta go see it !! :woohoo:

Today is June 1st, 42 more days for the Tomars !!!! Whooooo Hoooo !! :woohoo::yay::woohoo:

EE22, wanted to give you a heads up. 55 went under construction [yes again]. i 80 is under terrible construction through here. So if going to depaul or grandma's be prepared. Its not summer if Illinois is not ripping up the interstates.

mky: digging through my old folders I found my Reno one with maps of Chi Town. I will use these for DePaul in 25 days:scared1:we will go 88 all the way into downtown

But for DL...if we take the 88 Tollway we could take 355 to 55 or 294 to 55 when we head to Midway.

Which do you suggest with the construction on 55 and do 355 and 294 both hook up to 55?

And...I agree with Tomar...POTC4 is awesome. We went the day of DL11's bday...it was excellent. Yes, stay til the bitter end.

Is it still a tradition for DIS'ers to show their "identity" by displaying lime green mickey ears???

Any of the DISigners have one made... maybe i could have my DIS user name on it... or under it??

I'd like to make some tags for my luggage/backpacks...maybe even our door at CSR....

Hoping that I get one HELLO from a fellow DIS'er!!

thank you!

Candi: Yes, it does sound like our kids are on the same schedule. I guess it does not get hot as early so we can stay in longer. But this past week has been close to 90s. I went to DD7 school yesterday for her birthday to read to her class. Only there about 20 minutes and the sweat was dripping. So gross. Makes me remember how hot it is in Florida.:headache: Still can't wait though, heat and all.

MKY: :rotfl: The reason it is called LONG Island is because it is long and ugly in the middle.:rotfl2: The shores are like what you are thinking...in certain areas only. Like the Hamptons and stuff, which is where all the rich people live so we can't really enjoy those parts. Can only get on the small sections of public beach there.

WDW Dancer: Not sure about the green mickey heads. But it can't hurt. I think I recently read that people were complaining about lime green getting too popular so I guess it is still the case.

Tomar and EE22: Now you guys have me wondering about POC4. What could happen at the end??? I always wait to watch those movies on DVD because I have a hard time following along. Not sure what it is but all of them are the same for me. I have to really watch and pay attention.

Tomar: Hope you are feeling well.

EE22: I honestly cannot believe your DL trip is so close. Crazy how fast time goes.:sad1: But I know it is all good so...:cloud9:

All of our trips are coming. Can hardly believe we are so close. Kids are very excited and I think I am looking forward to having 2 weeks of DD7 being able to eat tons of stuff and knowing that she will have options that are not cooked at home. Poor kid can't even buy school lunch. I know she will survive but sometimes it is just nice to eat out.

It's coming way too fast!!

I am counting the days of summer vacation too...it's flying by...week one is almost GONE:scared1:

TP2: I feel your DD's pain. I had 1/2 of a scone on Sun at grad brunch and was sick till Wed mid afternoon from it. It's not that I can even cheat as it makes me too sick. It would ruin my vaca to DL. It would ruin everything. I am sorry to say that when we venture back to WDW...we will not be eating as our old places...I will have to stay away from buffets and especially breakfast as there is nothing for me to eat.

Gone are the days when I would order dessert for dinner and be happy. There are not many that don't have dairy in them:sad1:usually pie is the only thing and then it's apple or some fruit and that's about it. :sad2:

GET PACKING PEOPLE!

mky...hope things with Vader are going ok:love:

Hi Guys !!

TP2- My Uncle says ..Longa-Guy-Land !!...He talks Broken English !!:rotfl:
There is a little part of the very very End (after the credits are over) from POTC 4 that you have to see...Like with "3"...EE2 and I can`t tell, it`ll be a spoiler !! :rolleyes1 ;)
Im feeling much better TP...thank yoiu for asking

EE22- We are one day apart from leaveing......in opposite directions !!:rotfl:
Pack Pack Pack !!!!!:yay::yay::yay:

MKY-Hope Vader is better !!!!:flower3:

Candi- The students here in New Jersey are on the same schedule...Summer vacation is from the end of June to Labor day week ...

41 MORE DAYS FOR THE TOMARS !!!! WHOOO HOOO !!!!:dance3::dance3:

Made my shuttle reservation for DL!!
two things left to do...Fantasmic! and also Groceries...cannot decide what to do there or what I am going to eat:confused3 worried about coffee cream...otherwise I'll eat cheerios like I normally do. I still cannot tolerate black coffee:eek:

There is a Target near there, but I don't think they carry soy creamer.

Hiya everyone! :yay:

Thanks for asking, Vader is recovering. Slowly. No new seziures. popcorn::

EE22, I answered your email. :thumbsup2 Did you get an I-pass yet?
pixiedust: 40's pixiedust:

WDWdancer, I did the lime green mickey thing & Nothing. Except a castmember asking about it and then she rolled her eyes and said "your kidding". Guessing having disney fan sites is weird?

POTC4 still haven't seen it. pirate: Very excited thou. I loved 1 and 2 and 3 had some good and some long parts I thought. Was not my favorite. I just watch 1 on tv the other night. Looking for "ride" things that I had not noticed before.

I been watching that casey anthony trial stuff on HLN when I can. It so reminds me of orlando. Every time we are down they would be talking about it so I am stuck. :rolleyes1

TP2, No beautiful shore lines near us. Chicago mostly is cement to the lake has some beaches but not great. Indiana is worse so we have driven to michigan's Warren Dunes. They have great dune hills and beach area. But, lake michigan NO matter where you are is about 50 degrees even in august. :sad2: [or at least feels it] So sorry about DD. That is tough on anyone, but to start out so young. Like EE22 said, you know you feel better following the rules but, sometimes that decision is soooooooooooooo hard.

Tomar, are you getting to see the :littleangel: & princess: this summer? They must be getting soooooooooooo big. And jealous, you are going to see mickey soon. Put your feet up. pixiedust: 40's pixiedust:

I am in the 60's! ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo
