MKY - I hope your feeling better :wizard:

We are trying to figure out which resort to pick for our summer vacation and as we want it to be a "new to us" resort we are still debating....

Which would you guys pick:

YC or Poly :confused3

Thanks!

Minnie, off and on, feeling better. They said this is supposed to be a bad allergy year. I think my allergies are affecting my cold and not letting it go.

You know I will pick poly. We have stayed at both. And although I hate the poly resturants, or room service, I prefer it for anything else. Yes, YC has SAB. But, we don't swim that well and the current really can wear you out there. Plus getting a chair or table is almost immpossible unless you are out there by 8am. We love the Poly quiet pool. It is deep, lots of very nice tables, and chairs and no lifeguards staring at you. The big pool is very nice with a good slide. zero entry. Mostly families, and "regular" people. nice views from all rooms including GV. GV includes pool view. :thumbsup2 The grounds are very very nice. Good beach. You get the water parade nightly and MK fireworks from the beach.

YC, is a bit stuffy. Much smaller rooms. They do have the divided bathroom with 2 sinks thou. (poly only some rooms have 2 sinks). But either resort you may or may not get a balcony. We have had both at both resorts. I prefer the patio / balcony doors at poly vs. the french small doors at the yc. Remember SAb hours vary. There quiet pools are small.

I have stayed BC / YC if we wanted to spend the majority of our time at DHS or epcot. That is usually the decision maker and which one, had a great discount.

Candi, she has gone to the dark side??? Maybe take her to somewhere icky and then she will appreciate wdw. icky usually means educational. :wizard:

Hi Ladies,
I think of you guys and planning all the time just never have time to read really. I have troubles staying ahead of the laundry and the track meets. We were at it from 8:30 am till 4:15 pm on Saturday...just takes all our time.

We are almost to under 80 days though:woohoo:

EE22: Busy here too! With the kids getting bigger, things seem to change a lot. Friends all the time, and now the phone is starting. All good but definately eats up the free time. I can't imagine once soccer starts up again.

MKY: Sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. DD5 keeps getting her medicine changed around. I guess it they don't want her to build immunity to anything that she needs. Our insurance gives us a 90 day supply of all meds that are taken on a regular basis so we have an 18 gallon storage tub filled with all her stuff. It gets crazy!

Hi guys !!:grouphug:

Dropping in too, to see how everyone is
Busy here in NJ also, with the kids comeing up soon for the little Prince`s christening in May ...I started Spring Cleaning ...and getting all the baby things ready.....Swing, High Chair , Pack and Play, Diaper Genie, etc :cloud9:

MKY- The Tomar Household has been sneezing and coughing for the last week ! :crazy2:
I hope you are feeling better by now:angel:....our younger DS called this morning, to ask me to call the allergist....he was having an asthma attack at work :scared1:.....I immediately called and he has an appt. tomorrow night....in the construction industry....you cannot help but be around dust and dirt all day, and this is the worst allergy season so far I heard...

TP2- I can understand you having all of DD5`s maintainence meds in one place...they can be overwhelming at times...I know:headache:

EE22-Good Luck to the Kiddos wth thier sport`s meets !!pixiedust:pixiedust: hang in there....the end of the term is near !!!:teacher:  :flower3:

Candi- Hopeing your kids aren`t looseing the magic for Disney :littleangel:...could be they just want to experience something different....I never did ....if I wanted to visit Hawaii...I went to the Poly for dinner...if I wanted a victorian grand vacation , I went to the GF ...LOL....Im a "World Traveler" at just one place....Florida !!! :rotfl: ;)

Minnie- IN answer to your question.. I`m partial to the Epcot resorts (even though my first love is the GF) ...so..... given the resorts you asked us to remark on, Im voting for the YC .....we are "Quiet Pool" dwellers also, but, having access to SAB is a HUGE plus for some folks ...Good luck on your decision !! :cheer2:

Hiya everyone, :goodvibes

Feeling a little better here today. Nose is still a problem. Don't think I will "clear up" till summer.:eek: Allergies are TERRIBLE this year. Bug, is really sick right now too. Trying not to "infect" our old people. ;)

Tommorrow, (tax day) is mom & dad's 60th. Of course, not counting the 4 years of dating.... . Planning a family dinner with the 4 of us. Bug, will make a cake tonight and cooking tommorrow. I will help.

Tomar, Ooooh the christening is up there in NJ! How nice. I am sure grandma and poppi will be all ready! :wizard: You are getting good baby time with the prince this year! Considering they don't live near you. You raised those boys right. :thumbsup2

EE22, Just picture your life in 4 years. No where to go. :scared1: You will miss all the running around. :cheer2:pixiedust::cheer2: For your all stars.

TP2, we have to use the pharmacy in texas for all standard meds. Also 90 days. So they come in those giant bottles. I have a whole drawn next to my bed to house them. It's ridiculous.

Have you guys seen those Verizon commercials, for wdw? Curious how that works. Anyone going to try that phone thing this year? Or cost?

Garsh, I am so far behind. I haven't done any planning for October yet. Just got ressies & air. I got to get busy under the 180. popcorn::

Have a great night, mky:cutie:

Hi everyone.

Yep, it is a difficult allergy season here too. Itchy ears (canals) seem to be the worst this year.

MKY - :lmao: I do think she is reaching for the dark side. :lmao: I usually like to do one Disney and one non Disney trip a year, but with the reduced vacation time, it is harder.

Tomar - a christening - so much fun!

Take care of yourself everyone.

Yes the one with the dad running to Dumbo :goodvibes

I hope to give that a try this summer - I think the app is $9.99. I'd only give this a try if you have an unlimitted data plan on your phone ;)

Allergies are crazy here too... My sinuses hurt so bad my teeth ache :headache::sick: May have to go and get something from the DR as the OTC Claritin is not working so far. Course it didn't help to be out in the dust doing inventory this week. I'm soooo out of shape with my desk job :guilty:

Thanks everyone for your comments on the resort changing saga :goodvibes I think we are going to stay with the YC as the Poly pool just seems to small for the resort and the pool will be important to us. I think SAB will be great for DS and as mom can relax while DS and I have easy park access :woohoo:

Hi everyone !:goodvibes
Well, another weekend has arrived, and those of us that are going to the world this summer, are allitle closer to our dates !! WHOO HOO !:woohoo:
Thank you all for the good wishes for the "Little Prince`s Christening Day".:grouphug:....I am almost finished with getting the house ready for the kids when they arrive in May

Im battleing with my allergies each day...some days are better then others though, but...bottom line in one word......ick !!!!:headache:
I hate to take meds every day...so Ive been only using them on the bad days.
Couldn`t wait until spring...and this was the gift it came with:eek: .....Allergies !! :scared1:
MKY- Congrats to the folks on thier 60th !!party:...THAT...is a major milestone !!! God Bless !!

TP2- Hope the girls are not haveing issues with allergies this week pixiedust:

EE22- We`re one week closer to the summer !!:dance3:

Minnie- Glad you made a decision !! Have fun !!:cheer2:...about the verizon thing....I am soooo not "high tech" litterate ...I don`t text, or know too much about my cell, other then makeing calls , and occassionally taking a picture ...:rotfl:

Candi- I hope the allergy season gets better for all of us ...SOON !;)

Happy Weekend everyone !! :grouphug:

Hi Everyone! Seems like we are all so busy. Then the summer will come and we will all be able to breath again!

Tomar: DD5 is so medicated but she is holding strong. The transition between the old routine and the new routine with her meds was a rough few days but now she is good. She is taking Zyrtec and her puffer in the morning, then Singulair and nasal spray at night. Now that everything has taken effect she is good but we were living with a beast again for about 3 days. I am so afraid to stop any of her meds but also hate that she is on so much. End of June she comes off the puffer, hopefully she will hold her own.

The Christening is so exciting. My sister is finally doing the babys at the end of May. We will already be a year old so they are having a 1st birthday/Baptism party for her.

MKY: So exciting for your parents! 60 years is amazing.

So we are going to Disney summer of 2011, should I start planning yet?:rotfl:

EE22: Did you see any of that meteor shower? Kindof scary. People are saying it may have been something else and the gov't is covering it up? Not sure what it was but all of the videos from Wednesday night seem to be gone. Weird.

Candi: Maybe just a year off. We are taking this year off and everyone thought it was a good idea in October but now they are all moaning about it. How much longer until we can finally go back to Disney. DH joked and said in about 3 years and they were all about to cry! I guess I created a beast in all of them. DD9 said that you realize how much fun you are having in WDW until you get home and remember everything you did and how it the best part of your life. I always say it is all about the memories!:cloud9:

Minnie: I love YC! You have the best of so many worlds! So close to Epcot you can see all the fireworks. Great food in every direction. Plus you have 2 parks that are very accessible. We would love to stay there with the family. Just gotta get the right discount code for it to work out for us.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi TP2- :goodvibes
Our younger DS is now on Singulair and Xopenox...he had a bad week of Asthma, and was at the Doc last Thurs...he said the Singulair is working very well, Especially at night !!...Pixiedust that DD5 is feeling better, and off meds soon !! :wizard:
Love your new countdowns !!!...You guys are going to be leaveing for the Outer Banks the day before we leave for Disney....so we will be counting down together !!! :dance3:
Happy Weekend TP2 ! :flower3:

Tomar: Happy weekend to you too!:goodvibes

I am hoping that after Outerbanks, DH will be willing to go the rest of the way and hit Orlando before coming back home.:rotfl: We shall see. :rolleyes1

Hope DS is feeling better. I have never used it but from everyone I know of that has ever been on Singulair, they say it is a miracle drug.

TP2- You guys won`t be tooo far from WDW....:goodvibes
It takes us 7 hours by car from the kids`house in SC....Door to Door !!!...You`ll be soooooooo close !! :woohoo: :woohoo:
DS said that he has never seen a med like Singulair....he felt better the next day !!! :goodvibes...That is one med that the Doc hasn`t given me (Thank Goodness....I don`t need anymore allergy meds right now....thank you very much...;)..... :rolleyes1)...
How wonderful that Sis`s Baby is going to have a first birthday, and Baptism all at the same time !! Looks like we both will be very busy next month ! :cloud9:

Tomar: Add to that DH's brothers wedding. DH is best man and DD5 is flower girl.:headache: That is next weekend. Communion this weekend. Looking forward to the summer...that is for sure!

Try to relax and enjoy the "Celebrations"....I know its alot all at once, ....Try not to ...Stress !

Congrats to DH`s Brother !.....Im sure DD5 will be looking like her "Princess" self as the little flower girl !!:cloud9: princess:
Have a good time at the wedding !!!:flower3:

Tomar: As they say, when it rains it pours! No wonder we can never save any money.:rotfl: All good stuff though. We are thinking of putting in an inground pool but unsure if we should commit to the expense. There is no way I am cutting out any of my Disney trips.:lmao: I said to DH that maybe we should buy DVC instead.:rolleyes1

TP2-I hear ya about when it rains it pours all right !! ;)...Right now, I don`t know which end is up:upsidedow ..too much to do, so little time
About the pool, verses DVC.....I wonder what your Princesses would pick ?? ;) :flower3:

Hiya everyone! :goodvibes

Wow, lots going on this summer. But, not here. Yes, we are doing a quicky July wdw trip, but that will be about it. I no longer celebrate my b-days. ;)

TP2, obivously I am the only one with no idea where "the outer banks" are?? From what tomar said, I am guessing south carolina? We've been to Myrtle beach once, but that was it. They had really nice beaches. Wow, a pool. That has always been our dream when we where young. Now, not sure if its worth the work and $$$$. People at work are always yipping about the work involved. Plus, its so cold here, not sure how much we could even use it here. End of June to sept = maybe?? But, I am sure your little disneyfiles would love it.

Tomar, Take my singulair here, religiously. Anything to stay off the "roids". Don't even want to go there.

Minnie, congrat's on YC. Feels better to make a decision. I hate when I keep 2nd guessing.

Candi, that is the down side to changing jobs. starting over in seniority and vacation time. I know your happier, and more secure now but feel bad your starting over.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Took mom shopping today, and am exhausted. First time she went out in months. She didn't pretty good too. They had a nice annivsary.
