Tomar: I priced out the DCL with kids sailing for free. Without air our total came to $15,773:scared1: We won't be on a cruise either. The only boat I see us getting on is that arc!:rotfl: Of course that was for a 12 day European cruise but I still can't believe it is that much with kids being for free.

TP2- Stay on the Terra-Ferma !!!!! :scared1:....15 thou ?....YIKES:scared1:
you could buy into DVC for that amount ! :rotfl:
I get sea sick , really bad...the only boat I can tollerate is the Friendships at Disney :goodvibes....you know ;)...the little ones :rotfl:

Tomar: You are so right. I did not even think about it costing the same as DVC but you are right. I actually think I have a webcast to watch tonight.:goodvibes Gotta go check into that!

Tomar - sorry you get sea sick. That would not be fun.

MKY - I can't believe the people you had to put up with on the cruise! I would have lost my cool. Mind you I liked to hang out near the family pool and watch the big screen and enjoy watching everything going on and read a book.

The first cruise we had a table for the four of us, no other family. Then the last cruise I was shocked when they sat us with a family! I actually told them (in front of the family :rotfl:) that I was going to want to be moved to a table for four. They asked us to sit with them for the one dinner and they would move us the next night. Since they did not seem to bad, we stayed and in the end we sat with them for the entire week. So it worked out fine.

But when DH and I sailed before the kids, we did get some whack jobs to have to put up with.:rolleyes1

The mousekeeper would have driven me nuts!

As for the Europe cruise, just my ticket on Holland America was about $4000 and they are no way near the Disney ship. Add in the air and such, it was close to $6000 for just one. So that price on Disney does not shock to me. It is a very expensive trip and I would not take my kids. Too boring for them.

I can send you my 1 hour 45 minute long DVD movie of my trip and if the kids stay in the room, then take them...:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Mine wanted to know if we say anything other than churches, naked status, museums and castles! :rotfl:

Morning everyone!

Going in the 80's here today!

Tomar, so glad you finally got some sun. The news looks terrible on the east coast. They keep showing the floods. Your not really missing anything on DCL. :rolleyes1

TP2, wow. I would not of paid that either. For the 2 of us on dcl. I paid our 1st cruise = we had category 7 cabin (room for 3) floor 5 with a verandah that had a cut out window thing. It is very private and I recommend for honeymooners. :rotfl: I really liked the location, quiet, and nice room. Was about $2500.00 for 2. (august) #2 cruise we got a category 6 with a solid patio wall on floor 6 back of boat. It was a double sized verandah and nice quiet spot. Right next to the giant handicapp rooms in the end of the ship. For the 2 of us = $3200. (march) This was a hard to get cabin, and I scouted it out on our 1st cruise. Just happened someone cancelled and I jumped on it.
As for Tony's = this is usually one of our favorites too. But, we got seated to a nice table in right back corner. Our cm was loud, brash, and obnoxious. I was sick with asthma and coughing. Her comment "wow, your sick" "nice cough"...... throughout meal. She took time getting drinks I got ice tea and the ice melted immediately (fresh brewed) and needed more ice. She didn't come around. we got appy's (me soup) and we wanted to split a meal with sauce on side. Our dinner came out immediately after soup and they brought it with double sauce on it. The guy who delievers it took it back. Then he must of turned around with immediately appearing again with it plain. Came with no bread as advertised on menu and others seemed to have. But, out CM waitress never came back to check on us. To even ask for bread, or cheese for pasta. We where way past done eating by time she showed up again. With check in hand, and said "I got this ready for You" then took off again. If a manager type would of wondered the dining room I would of flagged him over but, they didn't. So we stopped at podium on way out. I then talked to manager and said "I want you to know, that we did not use out Tables in wonderland card cause NO WAY was she making 18% tip off me. That is the worse service we have had in our 2 weeks there. He asked if we wanted a dessert to take with me. I said NO, I want you to be able to explain why she didn't get a tip from us, cause I don't do that lightly. And it needs to be corrected. On a side note, I saw the hostesses drag a family with older members to our little back corner. Unfortunately grandma's wheelchair didn't fit and they had to lift her into a chair. They also rammed several other tables with grandma trying to get to the back corner. But, what I was upset was the dining room was 1/2 empty with plenty of other tables grandma could of easily gotten to???? Just seemed ridiculous & we felt bad for grandma. Also fair to say the cm waitress with the station next to us, seemed to be doing a good job and stay on top of her tables.

EE22, thanks for SWW info! good to know. :thumbsup2

Candi, I don't think I would of minded one of the larger tables with more people. We saw them with several different family's and groups mixed. We always wind up with a table for 4 or 6 and you have nothing in common with these newlyweds ......etc.... . Wish we could of moved. We just decided to skip the drama and nerves so it actually turned out way better. But, we should of decided it early and not brought the clothes for dinner with us. :lmao:

mky:cutie:

MKY: Those are closer to the prices I was thinking. This was a 12 day cruise and I am sure yours was less but still, almost $16k!!!:scared1: I thought with kids free, maybe $6k or $7k. All the other cruise lines run around $1k for a week so I thought I was close.

DD11 was having some issues with her asthma when we were there too last summer. She gets the cough because her tubes get tight but she can still breath. She hates to use the puffer, she does not like the taste. But I remember talking about all the time because of the looks you are talking about. Everyone assumes she is sick and going to contaminate the entire park. You should have seen the looks we got 3 years ago when dd5 was still eating eggs and vomiting and DD11 had the lung infection and the terrible reaction to the meds. The two of them would vomit at a moments notice and WE knew they were not contagous but you know how that looks to everyone around.:scared1: We had 1 room at Pop that year so we were all going stir crazy sitting around the room waiting to go home.

OOOOOH....We are just loving the Gorgeous weather we are having since yesterday guys !! :yay:.....I can`t wait until it`s beach days !! :goodvibes

MKY:cutie:- your "Tony`s" experience reminded me of our "Mama Melrose" experience......THE WORST !!....we were with the Whole family on this trip....and it was the Fantasmic Dinner Package.....the worst service I ever saw at Disney....at least, you were served your ice tea (sans ice of course)....we, never even got a drop of liquid....until our dinner came....it was horrendous.....Mr. Tomar will NEVER ...EVER eat there again...:scared1:
BTW...that was terrible about that poor elderly lady being shoved in the corner....yuck !

TP2- the prices that MKY were quoting you for the DCL sound more ......Like it !! ;)

Candi- thank you, nooooo its no fun at all being so sea sick...and the funny thing about it is.....I love the ocean

Im reading about what you guys are saying about cruising ,and my stomach is turning already ! :scared1::lmao::scared1:........barf....;)

Tomar - funny that talking about it can make you feel sea sick...:rotfl: It would be hard to love the ocean but not be able to sail it.

TP2 - it is hard to have sick kids in public. I always feel bad for the kids, but I do always wonder what they are passing around. You have unique health issues but we have all seen those parents that assure you their kids are fine, but you know full well they are going to pass some virus onto you.

I get the look when my allergies are acting up and I am sneezing like mad and my eyes are all puffy and watering and red from rubbing.

The weather is very nice here today as well. DH took the bike for a nice long ride and it is my turn tomorrow.

Candi, I never think about sailing the ocean (it would make my stomach feel bad:rotfl:)...so...it`s enough for me to sit on the shore and watch the ships sail by !! :cloud9:...

MKY- I am joining you this week "Playing in the Nebulizer band" ...we can play the same music ...ick !!:headache:..I woke up this morning with the WORST cough !!...I am sooooo graduated on Broncitis 101, I immediately know what it is...So on the "Peace Pipe I go once again"....

 Wishing Everyone a wonderful Blessed Easter weekend !!!!! :grouphug:

party:I just realized.....we are in DOUBLE DIGITS NOW !!!! WHOO HOOO !!party:
:littleangel: HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE !!! :littleangel:

Hello fellow jersey girl!!! I go every august! and always go the last week! It is the BEST time to go!!! Lines are not that long! Just a little advice... we always go early for extra magic hours then leave around 10:30 or 11 and get lunch! then we go back to the resort and nap or swim then we go to dinner and go to extra magic hours at night!! It seems to work the best with crowds/heat!! and as for driving I hope your car has air!! and bring lots of water and pack groceries u can eat!!! Good luck have a blast! :)

Happy Easter all!

We normally go in July each year but last year moved it to mid Aug for my DS's birthday. The weather wasn't really that much different - and quite a few less tourist groups. The only real advise I can give is to make sure you make ADRs as that is during prime free dining and the crowds swamped the restaurants when that started during the end of our trip ;)

Hello!
Thank you, I am hoping to get to as many rope drops as as I can, we are a party of 11, so not sure if ALL of us will make the rope drops lol. We went last May with the AWFUL rain, I figured if I could handle that I could handle anything. I can handle heat, but I hate rain (and it was a cold rain too) we still put the ponchos on and kept going, but our 08 trip was more magical lol. I am planning on bringing 2 cases of water and poptarts and little breakfast type of snacks!

Thanks, we made ADRs for CHef Mickey (breakfast), Tusker House for breakfast, and then for dinner 1900 PF, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I hope with the ADRs we still don't have to wait all that long, I think the longest I ever waited to be seated at Disney was 20 minutes at Tusker House with an ADR.
Happy Planning everyone, so excited!!!!!

We are attending July 11-18, 2010, and we are extremely excited. We will be staying at the beach club with family. Who else will be attending around this time? Also, this is our first time staying in July, how is the weather around this time?

Hiya everyone, :cool1:

We hit double digits today too! #99 Yeah!
But, oops too. From my counter, looks like I better start my october planning for our big trip. almost at 180. ;) I think my adr's and plans for July are pretty good right now.

I got an email from wdw, for my March trip with this park shopping link:

http://www.disneystore.com/disney-parks/c/70992/?CMP=Parks&att=EMLCMRQ210

Just in case you guys want a "pre-look" at shopping.

Hope everyone had a great Easter, and if your off this week hope you have a great week.

I am still sick:sick: Just my cold I caught at wdw before we came home. I think my allergies brought it on there and it just won't leave. I have given it to bug, and few at work but so far, its is still here. Ugh. So, I have been sick now about a month straight. 2010 is not starting out too good.

Tomar & TP2 its raining here again, look out. :scared1: I hate to think we are sending this east.

mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone!

I hope you feel better soon! :scared1:

Allergy season is in full swing here now. All of the trees are blooming here. I love the trees but my body does not like the pollen.

My DD14 has announced she would like to go somewhere new! :scared1::scared1: Who's daughter is she? :lmao::lmao:

So, not sure when we will be back to the world now. Next March will be the cruise I booked, but after that, I am not sure.

I would enjoy doing an Adventures by Disney trip but they are so expensive for the four of us.

Any suggestions?
