Tomar, No, my t&a today was not thrilled. If looks could kill. I think she was blaming me for it hurting > and trying to get tylenol #3 down her throat.

EE22, Yes, that is what I meant. Looks like try late sat nite? But probably sunday. Of course, I will be at work > So bug will have to handle it. Although it is only to cover through march 22, which leaves me another week.

TP2, Now just relax > I need a discount for March before you get august. Wouldn't it be wonderful, if it came out from Jan till september? Then I would be upset that it didn't cover october.
If you don't care for CR > you might be better getting 2 rooms at the values? Then you get 2 bathrooms. Is it better to have 2 conacting rooms at value or 1 room at mod? I always thought I would once get 2 value rooms conecting so we would each have our own bathroom and room. Bug, has a few issues at nite [zzzzzzzzzzzzzz's] Although I heard they don't always give them conecting, and that would defeat the purpose, of the whole thing.

Tomar: How long is recovery for a child? I know for adults they say 2 weeks but I thought it was less for kids. Hope she is doing better.

MKY: It is the whole distance thing for me. When I was working I went to Disney for a site inspection. I got to stay at YC then moved to POFQ and the difference was terrible. At YC, we did not need to go to the parks. We loved just being at the resort. Felt like we were in the middle of everything. Going to POFQ, although a very nice and beautiful resort, it could have been anywhere in the world. I did not feel the same excitement while there. I guess that is what I am looking for but of course I cannot really afford it. I love the location of the Cont, and the rooms. The pool just looks a bit "regular" if you know what I mean. Just does not seem Disney, just business Hyatt looking. Very nice of course, just regular. But I guess that if we were there we would not be using the pool too much. We always use the pool as a filler between the parks and hotel time. At values we feel that once we get back to the resort, we stay. So pool time.

mky...by the way...I agree with you on TGM. He's WAY too far behind. He's two months behind on March and now they have realeased April. I think he waited since dining was closed off, but now he's two months in the rear as I think I saw that April park hours were released. I remember the first time I joined for our Christmas trip, he was about 4 days "late" for the 2nd half of the month, but two months late is just sad.

Yep, we all seem to agree that TGM is not on top of things any longer. They did release April hours and I checked and March is still not up on the TGM site.

The only thing you hear as a reason is, he is working on it. That would get old very quickly.

The holiday season for Janauary took so long to come out, you would have missed any MUST have reservation windows by they time it was posted. I don't think I will bother to pay for his site again. The other day, I saw a reference to the slips you use to get for your photos and how you needed to check them out before leaving the park that day.....what the? Didn't photopass come out about 4 years ago?

I am down to 70 days till our next trip and it can't be soon enough!

We have really cooled off here as well, but things are suppose to warm up a bit at some point.

EE22, I hear that! Got our scrapers out too. I wore my gloves to work today. Of course, they are hello kitty's I bought at Japan in epcot. Definately, looks like sunday for adr's till march 22.

TP2, Glad you know what you are looking for. I have heard that complaint about the cr pool before. Honestly I like it more. Anything shaped liked mickeys profile. We are the same way, usually lots of pool time, and it is a decision in resort picking.

Candi, Wow, that is really coming fast. Where are those suitcases. I wish we where at double digits. Oh, well at least I am in the 140's.

It is cold here today too. Guess, there is no stopping it. Still no snow yet.

Update on the Princess
She Actually Smiled today !! YAHOOO !

She`s drinking and eating more and more !....Thank you Guys for all the prayers and pixiedust for The Perfectly Princess everyday !!

TP2- Im thinking that since she was operated on the 16th...and tomorrow is a week already...I would think that 1 and a half weeks to 2 weeks tops would be the recoup time....what do you Think MKY ???

Im reading all the posts about Resort locations and annemities....and I agree that the Epcot resorts are definately in the midst of everything exciting about the world TP2-
We felt that way too, when we stood at the Grand ... a monorail ride away from all the magic .......but having said that.....if you guys are gunna rent a car....you will see how much you can get to and fro to the middle of everything in the world ...even without going to parks ... ....We`ve been at Saratoga Springs (Our Home Resort for the last 3 trips....and honestly.....with having a car to get us around the world...its like your own "Flying Carpet" or as I always said in my Trip Reports.....Our Chariot !!

Yes, everyone gets better a little different. But most kids can bounce back very quickly and recoup in probably 2-4 weeks. Adults can take months to literally get back to normal following a T&A. Especially if they are men.

Tomar, I felt like we where kinda out to far at SSR. Its beauitful and I hoped with the shopping village I wouldn't feel that way but we did. It would be a great getaway for relaxing and quiet. Just a little too quiet for us @ wdw. But, I could see us staying there again. The 1 bdr. was great, and so convient. I would love that place somewhere you could really appreciate the room and resort. Your right too, I love having a car at wdw. It is so much easier. That is why we try to stay at mk area. Drive and park everywhere else. Even if bug doesn't want to. I hate the politic's of the bus. Pushing, chair grabbing, etc... . Just a nasty way to end a great day at the parks. where of course, there is no pushing, chair grabbing .. . . .

Everyone, have a great nite, Waiting for sunday's adr fest, nov 6 for SW, and I got a letter today from national asking why I have ressies [more than 1]. Cause I don't know the time of the plane and wanted to play and tweek them. Come on nov. 6th. We are at 140 days today.

Today was the last day of the quarter so the kids don't have school tomorrow and getting teenagers to go to bed at night when there is no school is no easy task. DH and I still have to work. The bags under my eyes are growing bigger and bigger.

MKY- Thank you for the time line in the recovery process of the Princess ....she was alittle cranky last night...didn`t want to talk ...but she`s getting better an better soooo Im soooo grateful for that !
About Saratoga- I have to say that since we`ve been "planted" (so to speak ) at our home resort for the last few trips....I have kinda felt soooooooooooooooo at home and comfortable ....truely like I was going to my "home away from home"...and in reality....having stayed at the Boardwalk Inn....The Boardwalk Villas...the Beach club Villas.....and The Grand Floridian....I`ve come to realize that even though (and I will leave the Grand out of this Equation because I ADORE that resort ).....I can make a ressie at either of the BWV and the BCV.....I won`t........We truely love staying at Saratoga........(now that`s not to say, that if a HUMONGOUS deal comes our way for one of the formentioned Resorts...that we wouldn`t grab at it ...but in general ,we`d go for our home resort first
you know that we stay planted at the pool for most of the first part of the day....soooo it`s exciting to know that we are gunna "Play" at the parks until it gets really late ...and then Im happy to come back to the "Peace and Quiet"....and do it all over again the next day .....Im showing my age here ... ... ....."The Tomars"....I need "Down time" every day at the world !!

MKY: I went through the Contemporary thread with pictures. I am warming up a bit. There are Mickey topiaries and lots of little touches. I was looking through the prices and for a party of 5 it is the least expensive deluxe. Still a lot though. I was also looking at AKL. For $55 more per night we can stay concierge instead of in a regular room for 5 people. That would provide us with breakfast each day and snacks. We would probably be able to get away with only one meal out each day so that may work. These prices are really still way out of budget so I am going to have to sit tight.

Tomar: Happy to hear that she is feeling a bit better. I did not realize that it took so long for kids to recoup. We are taking DD4 back to doctor today for recheck on ears. I don't think that is anywhere near what you are going through. I am preparing myself for tubes. At this point it will be a bit of a relief because she is allergic to dust mites and dust. In 2006 we found ourselves in the clinic because her eyes were swollen shut and we had no idea why. Now I know that the dust mites will cause that to happen. 2 weeks in a hotel room did that to her. I am going to have to ask for a special cleaning or something. I am not sure how they handle that.

If we are not staying deluxe but in a value this year I will definately rent a car. Has anyone done Enterprise and had them meet you at the hotel instead fo picking up the car at the airport? I know DH likes taking ME because he hates dealing with the luggage.

EE22: I am complaining because it was 49 degrees this morning. I pray for no snow this winter at all. Hope you are surviving the day with no sleep.

Well they are saying snow here on Sunday. I am hoping I don't win but I guess being Canadian and taking that title would be fitting since so many think we are all Eskimos and live in Igloos anyway.

I am off work today (due to the reduced work week) and the kids have the day off school as well. DH is having an office day so the whole family is home, which is strange.

68 days till SSR - and Tomar - I love my home resort too. I like to come back to the quiet of the resort. I found the busses were not as crowded as they are for other resorts but that was back in 2005.

If its any consolation....the Princess hasn`t complained once about the tubes ....
I forgot the actual recoup time for the T&A op myself...glad that MKY cleared it us for us

About the Car Rental- I can give you the "Car Rental 101" for picking up a car at the airport TP ....but Ive never had them come to the Hotel....(unless... we weren`t happy with the car and they were changing it...which Mr. Tomar did a few times )......also...we`ve never used Enterprise in Orlando.....we tend to use the Companys that allow you to pick up your car "AT" the airport....I believe that with Enterprise and Hertz....you have to be transported to thier local offices to pick up your car....which....I DO NOT recommend you do....it`s a pain !!
Alamo or National is our Car Rental of choice...
If DH wants to do ME...I think...(not sure)...but I think that you may be able to pick up a car at the (D&S....or at the service area on the road coming into the Magic Kingdom.....if you go to "Mousesavers"...than click on the left side...."Plane...Car Rental...Shuttle..and More"....and read on....this may help clear up some things for you
