mky...I am watching for March too for my buddy here so I'll let you know if I see anything. They are predicting soon...but you know how that goes.

I slept well. The "sleep driving" is somewhat strange. I told my students that if they see me out after the game tonight (TH night game this week) driving around in my pink Eeyore pjs...they should call 911:rotfl:

DH said I was in a DEEP sleep. That's how I always slept...a train could run through and it wouldn't wake me up.

DS is dissecting cats in anatomy:eek: he's not bothered by it at all and named his cat Mr. Williams.:upsidedow

YEAH!!!! Tomar, So glad she did ok. :worship: :worship: They probably kept her because of her age [we usually keep under 3yr] and if there is any medical hx. She had pneumonia last year so> she could be a candidate for problems? Sometimes, if they are small or under weight we keep them too. Pretty much any thing can be a reason. :confused3
Now, don't be upset: [but your son might of done the same thing] > sometimes they do better the 1st day, as far as pain and eating goes. Most surgeons coat the throat with a longer acting maricaine solution. As it wears off after 8 > 16 hrs, the pain will increase and so they don't eat as well. So just don't get down if she is more irritable, less cooperative, or just uncomfortable. It is from the pain. Remember; If you treat the pain, they eat, and don't dehydrate > so they feelllllllllllllllllllllllll much betterrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!:wizard: Good luck and hang in there.
Feel free to ask me, if you run into a question.:thumbsup2

mky:cutie:

MKY-:cutie: ....Thank you sooooooooooooo much for telling me all this  ...I was wondering why she is being kept overnight....but now I KNOW :goodvibes ....She did have the Epstien Bar last year...and I do beieve that they need to monitor her more closely !!...Your the Best Nurse !!!:woohoo:  ...thank you for easing my noodle tonight !

I All::) So I just went to check out the codes board and there was a thread about dates for 2009. Here are the dates:

Pin offer out..covers dates thru 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow. I was shocked..my mom got a email with a Pin offer for 40% off value resorts for the following dates..

Jan. 4–Jan. 15, 2009
Jan. 25–Feb. 12, 2009
Mar. 1–Mar. 14, 2009
May 31–Jun. 6, 2009
Aug. 23–Oct. 3, 2009
Oct. 25–Oct. 31, 2009
Nov. 15–Nov. 21, 2009
Nov. 29–Dec. 5, 2009
Dec. 13–Dec. 24, 2009

I was so sad because last year the offer I received started on August 2. I figured it would be the same this year. Ends up this offer is for Canadian residants. Anyone know how the US offer usually follows? Same dates for more liberal with US residents?:confused3

Not to sound greedy but I was hoping to go as early in the summer as possible.

TP2: Not greed...practical!
I read on a thread that I am on that the US pins will follow.
I hope you get one!

Tomar...so glad that PP is at home now. Still sending Pixie Dust and Prayers.

It's cold here this morning:mad: DH and I went grocery shopping and I had on my heavier fall coat and it was still very cold with that on

Good Morning Ladies !:surfweb:

EE22 and TP2- Thank you for the continued Prayers and Pixie Dust for the Perfectly Princessprincess: :grouphug:
She was eatting Jello and holding her Belle doll watching Beauty and Beast this morning ...it`s alittle tough now that the pain meds wore off....DS and DDIL were given a med that you rub on her skin for pain ..She refused to swallow any meds yesterday !:sad2: ...This morning however ...she had juice and jello ....so hearing that... Gram-ma is a happy camper today :woohoo: ;)

EE22- Its starting to get cold here in New Jersey....BRRRRR... this morning was in the 40`s:cold: !!

TP2- I bet a great code is gunna show up for you...Im suprised that June July and Most of August was eleminated in the one that you posted for the canadian residents......that`s a busy time at Disney...and the way the Economy is...Id think that Uncle Walt would offer a better discount in the summer months ....for those of us that live in the "Good Ole U S Of A" ...seeing as alot of people may opt out of a Disney vacation..until things turn around ...hang in there ...it`ll come to pass  ...!!:flower3:

Tomar: Glad to hear that she is eating something. They say it is most important to drink so it sounds like she is on the road.:goodvibes

Those dates totally stink. I think I may keep my eyes open to the AP code watch again. MKY: You still follow that, right? I believe that they offered AP holders discounts earlier in the month of August. Either that or a teachers discount at Swan and Dolphin. Have to remember which one sleeps 5. I was also thinking of FWC because they hit value season at the end of July. Problem is they are still expensive. I really don't want to go at the end of August, too much rain and very close to back to school. Maybe they will offer free dining starting August 14 like they did in 2006. That year was the best.

TP2: They may still offer something for the summer but not as much as they may be hoping to still have a bigger crowd then.

2003 was when we got FORQ for $74 per night:woohoo:
Come back code. The economy was BAD!! It didn't come until late March. My friend that works there said he can't get 40 hours because the crowds are so low. With people not being able to get loans and really in trouble, I think by next summer things will be even worse.

Teachers discounts at the Swan and Dolphin are significant too! I checked into it, but they only had queen beds. HUGE discounts!

I am always watching for ap rates for someone so I'll be watching for the summer too!

EE22: Thanks:hug: I am a bit panicked because there is no way that we can't take DD4 this year and DH insists on staying onsite. I know it sounds spoiled but I really NEED to stay 2 weeks to get my fill. The shortest I am willing to go is 12 nights.:rotfl: For us, we never go to the parks on travel days so that is 11 days vacation time. I figure 10 days in parks and one down day. I guess I can live with that but I like having a day off every 3 or 4 days.:snooty: Also, you have to account for rain.:rolleyes1 We need all those days in DW.

Funny that you say your friend can't get a full work week. People are talking on the theme parks boards about how busy the parks are. I am figuring that they are packed on the weekends with locals and empty during the week. I also think that maybe the hotels and restaurants are taking a hit more than the parks. I can see myself going to do a fun day someplace local and eating in the car on the way there and packing a cooler for lunch, then just grab something on the way home instead of eating an expensive meal in the parks. What area of the resort does he work? Just curious as to where the decline is being seen.

I understand TP2!! I am the same way and when we pay through the nose for airfare we feel like we can't get our fill. When we went over Christmas and we were only there a week...it was TOO SHORT. DD and I about killed ourselves...sun up till sun down in the parks for a week:rotfl: We were crazed fools when we were there. Sat to Sat and we lost the first and last day so really we had 6 days in the parks. It did pour rain on Christmas Day and we really had to push ourselves to get back to AK for the Holiday Parade!

I don't think you're spoiled...I think you're HOOKED!

My friend works in Tomorrowland at MK. So, I'm not sure what they are talking about and perhaps with the parties they are busier. And, perhaps they aren't use to real crowds. I had never seen crowds until the traffic jam getting out of DHS this summer. WOW!!! The parking lot closed at MK too...so I suppose it may be what they are normally use to? And, I think Food and Wine is very popular and since that's Epcot that could be why since he's at MK.

EE22: When we went in 2006, my family came for one week and we stayed for 2 weeks. The first week flew by, there was no time to breathe. I totally get what you are saying about Christmas week. I live each day saying we only have 5 days left.:scared: I am not glass half full while at DW.:rotfl: So to only have one week is a no deal for me. Plus with me being the dollar and sense girl, it makes no sense to me to buy a 7 day pass when for a couple of dollars more I can get a 10 day pass. That Disney logic works perfect on me.:lmao:

I know what you mean about crowds. In 2005, our first time as a family, I had read so much about crowds that we left one day in a panic. I think that we really were in a crowd from a show being let out. Live and learn. But we did have one MK day that you could not walk the crowd was so thick. Add to that a stroller and a ECV and we were just stuck. The kids spent hours in Toon Town and finally we made our way out the back way back to the entrance. Found the quiet route by the Autoban. You may be right that it is crowded but not Disney crowded. That day in MK was not even a day with closures so I really cannot imagine a day in a park over the holidays where attendance is maxed out.

OK gals ...Let me chime in here and say that the night Mr. tomar and I were at the studios for the 4th of July...it took an Hour and a half to get back to Saratoga Springs ....and we had a car !!:scared1:
I agree with EE22 about the parks being over-crowded at certain times and then less crowded at others ....Right now Epcot is experiencing the Food and Wine event ....so that`s why the Theme Park Board may be saying the parks are crowded :upsidedow
TP2- I totally agree with you wanting to stay as long as you can ...Since we go only once a year...(and I spend soooo much time during the year dreaming of my trip :cloud9: LOL)...we try to stretch it as longggggggggggggggg as possible....Id prefer MORE than 2 weeks  ...but no less...so TP2.... you are not being greedy....just Loving Disney as we all do
Update on Princess..... princess:
She slept alot today...but each time she awoke ....her throat hurt...(poor baby) :sad2: .... DS and DDIL gave her the pain med so she can drink ...she drank alittle and then went off to sleep with her Belle doll again !

Tomar: Thanks for the update. That poor baby.:sad1: We all know she will be so much better in the long run but this week is going to be rough on everyone. At least she is sleeping. We have to be thankful for that.

I broke the news to DH that I want to stay for 2 weeks. He did not react. I guess he just figured so much.:rotfl:

Hi everyone. It seemed like I was only gone a few days and I had missed three and a half pages....I did my best to catch up because I was wondering how the kids made out.

Tomar - great news that the Princess is out of the hospital and holding her own. At least she is drinking and sleeping. I hope she continues to do well.

EE22 - How are you sleeping now? I get serious hung over from anything that makes you sleepy. If I take muscle relaxers for my back, I slur my speach until noon the next day....but it does ware off and by day 4-5 I no longer seem drunk in the morning.:lmao: And I only take a half tablet :lmao: . I am such a light weight!

MKY - work is nuts :scared1: :scared1: but I am hanging in there. The drama factor is up about 10 times what it usually is and I can't stand that. I have no time for drama queens who do NO work and can't stop complaining. :headache: She better knock it off or the pirate: will make an appearance..."to the brig with ya".

I missed an appearance by BUG? :sad2: I am dissapointed.

TP2:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
At least you have let him know well in advance what the plan is!!
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Keep us posted on PP, Tomar. Things will improve for her each day. I remember mine. I was in 1st grade.

Hi Candi, well, besides the headaches when I get up, I'm doing okay in the sleep department. Believe it or not even with the Ambien on Thurs night DH still woke me up!! it was around 1 am, but I did go back to sleep. Fri and last night I took melatonin which did the trick and I slept well so I'm feeling human again with 4 nights in a row, but I know I'm still in need of rest...I fell it early afternoon and I just want to crash. Tonight is the worst so I'll take the Ambien and hope for the best. Not sure what I'll do long term though, but I'll worry about that later.

Sorry about work. Things are very bad  Almost every day on the news or in the news there is yet another car dealership going under. People cannot get loans.

2 weeks ago I heard that our state was 30 million short and that's not good. Schools get cuts first:teacher: which is so very bad. In 2003 they froze our spending across the state. If we ran out of toner for the copy machine...too bad...no copies:mad: rather difficult to teach under those conditions. I think it lasted for about a month.

When people are out of work though there are less taxes being collected though too so it all adds up. I know our schools have the 1% option tax too on retail sales and when those are down there is less money coming to them as well. About the only plus is that gas prices are down....

AND!! deals at Disney are UP!:woohoo:

EE22: I like the up side. Discounts at Disney!:rotfl: :yay: :rotfl: :yay: :rotfl: :yay:

I finally put the heat on. The house hit 64 degrees and it was too cold to get out of bed. Put it on 67, just enough to get rid of the chill. Have not checked oil prices but they should be down too. Maybe a decent time for a delivery.

TP2 - do you still heat with heating oil? That is not very common around here any more. It must be tough to budget for since you have one big bill instead of monthly bills.

I am putting my name on this list... hubby already wants to go back and hopefully we will get free dining again... :)
