I always like to hit DTD but I know that raises the issue of buying stuff
Goofy's Candy Kitchen is fun to go in and get something. Have you been in there before? Earl of Sandwich is good and good prices. FREE coffee refills last winter...can't get that many places. Even though at Earl I am now at a loss of something to eat there...processed meats and I are even worse than we were last Christmas! I'm not so sure DD and I can do the Castle. I suppose I could ask for somethng special because I don't think there is anything on the menu that I can eat there

I think resort hopping would be fun.

I think the idea of Beaches and Cream is a good one. Walk to IG and hunt around those resorts. I'd like to rent one of those bike things with all the people...whatever they are called.

Did you decide to just do one P&P party then?

Going to Hoop takes a lot of time and you can enjoy it more if you aren't rushed. My kids liked WL and the boat ride would be fun. I'll always wanted to just ride the monorail and we never have time.

What about mini golf?

Thank you MKY! We had a nice trip, but we really found out that we are on-site people. Loved the extra room but missed the “magic” of staying on-site.

TP2 – We did TGM on our last trip and we enjoyed it. However, I really wouldn’t try it this close to your trip. You can figure out the “good park days” from the “bad park days” pretty easily without subscribing. If you need any help let me know.

I was thinking of playing minature golf. I have the coupons and all for that. Also doing the Sea Racers. I know that we will be busy even without hitting the parks every day. I also figured we MAY hit DTD but only if we really had nothing to do. We have never been to Goofys Candy Company. That sounds like fun. I really want to see CBR because there are so many mixed emotions about that hotel. I would love to see it in person to make my own decision.

We stayed at CBR our first time. We liked it. My friend Susie drove in for her first stay there ever at CBR and they left they went to POR. I thought that was funny. I don't think they even went to the room!!

TP2, No, I would not buy tgmike this close either. I have been a member for 2 years & can barely navigate the site. The unofficial guide also has tour plans. If we had more time, I could of mailed you my copy from last year. I think I have every wdw book for the last 10 years.

FYI:
Mky's touring plan: MK > Get there early, (at opening) Then we proceed to fantasyland ride all major's here. Due to the slow boarding etc... We do this early. Plus most lines are totally outside and best to do while early. Fast pass pooh on way to fantasyland. Finall ride is pooh. > proceed to tommorrowland. > We fast pass buzz. (alert, inside tip) cause the line is so hot!!! I love to calm down and wait at space mountain. Its dark, fairly quiet and air conditioned. By time you get out ride buzz, and other attractions in tommorrowland. *** We do not believe in hopping around to other lands, unless just riding major rides. *** If still fairly early proceed across square(& haunted mansion) to frontierland > fast pass BTMRR and get in line. Allows for 1 wait and 2 quicker rides. We do not usually ride splash mountain. (ruins my hair) > Proceed to adventureland> fast pass jungle cruise (warning very hot line). Get in line for pirates. Then either jungle cruise or tiki birds. We generally eat when we are hungery. If too hot return to resort and swim and nap. Then pick up where we left.
Mky's philosphy: no hot lines, don't mind waiting its half the fun. But we are usually on a long trip, so can take our time. This plan has worked for us in 1 day without commando touring necessary. Always remember your on vacation.

Of course, after this vacation, I will have my info on special needs touring

EE22, I know with my situation, I have no right to lecture. BUT your eyes???? You definately need to take care of this. ok, lecture over.

cbr? We stayed there the year it first opened. I think it was about $79.. / nite!!! I still have very fond memories. We where in trinadad near ole port royale. Great spot, nice quiet pool. We actually go back every year and shop, they have a great store. Drinks on the verandah too. I like any pool deck with a reggae band.

My fav mod is probably pors. we have stayed many times, and think it is just beauitful. But, a co worker stayed there and thought it was a hole. "no room service or spa". I told her its a mod, that is what they are. She actually left disney (no 4 star resorts there?)? > moved to the peabody on international drive. Her husband was attending a conference at the dolphin. See why we plan.

Will add...get in the Indy Speedway EARLY if you want to ride that. It gets HOT in that line and long. DD still loves that ride. I hate it...the gas smell gives me a headache so I won't ride it. She waits in line for that for a long time and I rest. Works for me.

I know MKY...my eyes...I sort of need them.
I just kept thinking it would get better. Just like my foot.
Just like my back.
Just like my headaches. That was stupid last fall too!!
Last week was so busy, I didn't make the time and I need to do a better job of taking care of myself. I put everyone and everything ahead of me and that's not good.

It still really hurts and now I have a slamming headache.
I need to do some paper work...tax stuff, but I think I'll go rest my eyes. She said the drops would blur my vision and it is. I go back tonight and I have to drive to the other side of town now too...talk about wasting time. She moves among two offices during the week. Now I am really burning time. I can hardly wait till I have to work it in next week with work

I can't go outside...the sun kills my eyes without my contacts in. So my Walmart run and grocery run is on hold too.

If this is what the mid 40's are like...I'm not looking forward to the mid 50's

I have to take DS for more football equipment in an hour so I should go rest my eyeballs.

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I think what is killing me is no Spectro. I can't imagine going all the way there and not seeing it at least once. My DH keeps saying, "Take out the video from last year, you can watch it as many times as you like." I know he is right but there is something about being there with the music and all. It always brings tears to my eyes. I won't feel like I was really there without it. I guess I will watch the video tonight and see if I really need to see it in person.

I know how you feel. DD and I love that parade. We were so upset last summer when it rained and we thought it wouldn't go on. DS and DH are like that with Fantasmic! DS at 16 would weep if we didn't see it.

There are just "things" there that are special.

I love the flower Mickey at the front of MK. The first time we went to MK in 1981 my dad kept taking pictures and making adjustments. I just wanted to hurt him. I was a teenager after all. It still makes me laugh. When we went back in 2001 for the first time as a family my step mom and I laughed about it when we saw the Mickey head. He would have probably have done the same thing if he was still with us. He was a real nerd

We may try having an adult beverage and tour the resorts. I am sure that having a drink at the bar is legal right? We figure that we are not driving so it should be fine. I always love a Pina Colada on vacation. We also love POR, much better than POFQ and CSR. The bigger rooms at CBR is what is also a draw for us.

I think it is ok to drink at another resorts bar. Unless, your using your pors mug, at the beach of the poly while wishes is playing in the background and your staying on someones balcony in the Poly "hawawii" building concierge. just kidding.

Just read my fall mickey monitor: no resort discounts listed. BUT: they are extending the year of a million dreams till dec 08'. & they are holding special dates for haunted mansion with special line for ap holders? Not sure when it reopens but that is something at least for ap holders.

Some people are talking about getting fall pin codes so keep your eye on your emails (just in case). We usually only get one for a time period we can't go. OR not at all.

I hope you are there for HM when it opens. My friend went when Pirates opened and they had a special pin.

MKY: I have seen those threads too and I wonder why people feel the need to police the way they do. Is it really that big of a deal if you are not taking something away from someone else? I always read what they have to say though, it is kindof like a train wreck, you just have to watch. On one of the pod casts they discussed Disney getting Coke products for free. Coke does it for the advertisement, so really Disney does not care if you reuse the mugs. That is why they are moving to the generic ones. This was according to the people during the podcast. Not sure if they are right or not but is sounds reasonable. I have never seen anyone in the food court give a hoot about the mugs.

Our code watch thread got a bit hairy last spring a few times. I tired to ignore it and move on. Sometimes what we write doesn't come out write either like with emails.
