VMK- Pardon my asking...but what exactly are you taking all these tests for?:flower3:

Well last time they tested my testosterone levels, cortisol levels, and checked my thyroid levels.. the testosterone and cortisol were high which indicates a possibility of PCOS.. thyroid was normal. This Thursday they are doing insulin resistance, progesterone test and some others. Trying to figure out what my body is and isn't doing to see how to correct it so we can finally get pregnant. We have been casually trying for about 5 years now.. and nothing has happened.. although we weren't real worried cause we were kinda feeling like.. it will happen w hen it's meant to.. but 5 years later... ehhh.. we need some help cause something obviously isn't right.

DH has to do his test on Thursday morning too.

for Me!!!

Chloe: I have PCOS and have two children so keep the faith:love:
A couple of years ago they tested me for diabetes since now there is that link between PCOS. I was fine though.

MKY: How long will it take you to get your results for the MRI?

Okay - I'm sorry, but I don't know what PCOS is. :confused3 I'm the last person to ask about having a baby ...... DH could WINK at me & I'd get pregnant!!! :rotfl:

However, my parents couldn't have kids & just look what happened! :cool1: We're the "store-bought" variety!!! :thumbsup2 Trust me, having a baby grow inside your tummy is NOT what makes you a "Mommy"!!!

I will send lots of thoughts, prayers & Pixie Dust your way for all the best! :grouphug:

Look at you single-digit folks!!! :cheer2: Not long now.

EE - MS is not too terribly different from CRO. Hopefully, you'll get a good CM & they'll help you thru the process. I'm going to assume you've been scoping out the DVC boards on here for more info. Let me know if you need hlep!!!

Okay ....... I'm going to post some pics now ........

Wow! It has been many many years since I stayed at the CR and to see the pictures of the rooms there was neat. I guess wtih all my resort searching etc. on line I have just never looked at the CR. We are DVC members since 2003 so now we mostly just consider DVC resorts. However, next month we are staying at the Poly for 3 nights.

Thanks again for posting those great pictures!! :)

Our 1st trip together back in 2002, we stayed @ the Poly & loved it!!! :cloud9: We too are now DVC members (SSR) and have stayed mainly at the DVC resorts this year. We did stay 3 nights at CR b/c we don't like using points for the Friday/Saturday nights.

Mouseaddict's Great pictures! You have a fabulous camera!:cheer2: I am already picking out which part of the floor is going to have my 3 suitcases open on. popcorn:: ;) What a nice looking family! :grouphug: Now, I am already for our CR room! Very exciting!

VMKprincess: chloe, good luck with your test. Hang in there.

Tomar, your princess: is getting close. :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker: :tinker:

EE22, Down to 6 days to call!:eeyore: pooh: :eeyore: pooh: :eeyore: pooh:
My mri is friday, I see md next friday, but I will probably find out something sooner.;) Can you send this rain somewhere else? We are getting tired of it.

Hope everyone has a great nite. Keep counting down!:hourglass mky:cutie:

Mouseaddicts: SOOO love the pictures. I like the new rooms at CR. The view is just amazing. I would love to see that picture of your bracelet. My sister gave me her Mickey watch and DD2 swiped it. I am going crazy trying to find it.

VMK: Good luck with all of your tests. I had a DSIL an DBF go through it all. I know it can be very stressful. Just hang in. And I agree with Mouseaddicts about the "store bought" variety.

MKY: We got the rain, boy did we get rain. We have been out of the loop the last few days, we were busy. We went do get some shopping done and when we came out of the store 20 minutes later there were cars under water. I have never seen that on Long Island. The water was up to the car windows. It was so crazy. I can't imagine any more days of that. I do think we are going to get some rain but not like what we had today.

I keep thinking about Friday. I really hope all goes well for you.

EE22: I did not realize that you had to book so early. That makes it hard if you don't know your schedule ahead of time. Is there any assurance of getting a specific week or it is first come first serve? That adds a bit of stress.

Tomar::cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I can't believe that your trip is so close. I feel like the summer is just flying by. Our trip is in 4 1/2 weeks and when we get home the kids have less than a week before back to school. I have no idea where the time is going. Hope you survived the storm. We had major roads closed today because of flooding. Hope you did not get it as bad by you.

Hi guys !:goodvibes
TP- we weren`t that fortunate...ICK.....we had the Worst storm here today :scared1: !!!!! The power went off in our whole development for hours !!!
Thank goodness it`s calming down now !! Hope you guys are OK ;)
4 1/2 more weeks !! WOW !...We`re all just ready to go now !!!:dance3:

MKY- I hope that you find out good news before we leave....I`ll be wishing for the best for you !!!!:flower3:

Mouseaddicts- Great Pictures !! Can`t believe that the CR has a computer now !!! :goodvibes

EE- The time is allmost here for your first DVC Ressies....I hope that you have the best first experience with Member Services pixiedust:

VMK- Pixiedust for your test as well !!pixiedust: Hoping for the best of luck for you and DH !

Tomar: We lost power too. The store had emergency generators on. Like I said, we have not watched the news and had no idea a major storm was brewing. We thought that it was just a summer thunderstorm. Boy were we wrong. And then tonight that steam pipe blowing in Manhatten. Scary day here.

LOVE the pics!
I really love the fact that your DH has on Pirates Crocs and the other crocs have decorations on them:woohoo:

We had tonadoes here tonight so I'm behind...
will get caught up tomorrow.

The summer is closing in on me and I'm starting to panic......
this is never a good thing.....:scared1:

thanks everyone for the prayers and everything.. we appreciate them. My dr. made me go off of one of my medications.. and i'm having a hard time adjusting, VERY emotional! Pray for DH! lol And I know, that once I start clomid... it's only gonna get worse!

Eeyorelover- did you have to have any help or were you able to do it on your own? It's really good to know that you were able to have children with it. I know lots of women do. But it always helps to hear that it's possible!

mouseaddicts- love the pictures!! I love the view of the castle!

PCOS stands for Poly cystic Ovary Syndrome.. you can google it and find tons of info. Yeah I definitely know that even if we can't have them on our own, there are other ways.. but we want to try this first! But, we have agreed that if nothing happens within the next couple of years we are going to start looking into adoption.. and even if it does happen... we may look into it..

But anyway, thanks again to everyone.. DH and I both have tests to do tomorrow. I'm not allowed to have anything else to eat or drink tonight besides water! But I will let you all know how it goes!

Thanks,
Heather

Good Morning everyone !!!:surfweb:
VMK- Sending you prayers for your test today !! I didn`t know what PCOC was also...back then ...the Dr. just called it Cystic ovaries....and I had it as well.....and....as EE...I have 2 children also !! Keep the faith !

:mickeyjum :tigger: :donald: :ccat: :tinker: 5 more days for tomar ! YAHOOOOO !:simba: :stitch: :goofy: :dumbo: :mickeyjum

Glad that you guys are OK...yes...it was a scary day !:scared1:
I think I would Freak:eek: ...if we were getting tornadoes like in EE`s neck of the woods though....glad that your OK too EE !!

Yesterday DD and I went to Iowa City to meet a buddy...a Disney buddy who still works at the only store in Iowa and she brought me a delivery:lmao: She lives there which is about 40 minutes from here and then 50 from the DS. Works great. So, DD and I hit a couple stores for items that are not here in Cedar Rapids. We were there for about 3 hours. We came out and it was so muggy...the air was thick and water from rain at 11:00 was still sitting on the sidewalks at 5:00.

On the way home, we hit the flower place for some daylillies...not sure why I bought them with my bad back, but that's another issue.

It was worse in just 40 minutes. I said to the lady at the check out...this is tornado weather....we just got home and the storm started and about 10 minutes later the sirens go off.

My friend who is heading to Disney on August 4th said she hit the basement, but made sure she took her ap vouchers with her:rotfl: :rotfl:

I guess a couple places within 5 miles of here were hit by high winds. Not sure if it was a tornado or not. TOO close for me:scared1:
