EE22: You make me laugh. DH would definately if I booked without him knowing.

Those bugs do sound gross. And I had no idea about the grasshoppers. You guys sure do have your hands filled with yucky bugs. I have to say that we still have mosquitos. Killed one in the house just yesterday.

Late starts create chaos in my Type A head. I took attendance for 4th period during 6th and 6th during 4th. They flip our classes and I was a mess all day. I just claim it was the cold. They run 1,2,5, 6, 3, 4, 7, 8. I was just a mess all day

They shut off the power at school...we have interuptible power for lower rates. No concert tonight for DD. I bet it will be really cold tomorrow with the heat off all night. Just can't wait to go back...NOT!!!

EE22-YIKES! no heat !!!
They used to let the kids go home when my DS`s were small at he slightest notion of "no heat"....but If they are shutting the power off at night...with the temps the way they are.....FIND THAT THERMASTAT !!!!!!

Hiya everyone!

Snow, we got blasted today. Been snowing all day since 9am and still coming. It is a mess. The upside, it is a real lite snow. So shoveling was not to bad. So far.

Been very cold here too, but at least we have heat. It was better at work (hospital) today, with the bad weather no one going out to the doctor. Best day we had in a while.

Trying to finalize our plans for August, but the EMH's are not out for august, so its still a guessing game. The regular hours are out.

Thinking about joining TGM again. I got good info last year, but never mastered the whole site. Anyone else think it is a bit confusing?

They shut down the power again tonight so a cold morning again for me...although I think they did come and turn it on in the middle of the night. The custodians won't get their pay unless they make up the time by Friday that doesn't seem right to me.

I joined TGM and it took me a long time to learn my way around. I found it very helpful. I bought it last April to plan the Christmas trip. I knew we'd be laying down some major cash and wanted the best advice I could get.

I didn't use the info for the parties since we didn't hit those, but I gained a few tips along the way. You could get two trips out of it I believe if you use it for your Nov trip.

Tomar: don't work too hard when you start feeling better...you'll get sick again. The Mouse is waiting for you.

We had snow here too...what a mess. If one more student asked me why we had school I would have lost it. THEY DON'T CALL ME!! I watch the news like everyone else

Hate snow. Thank goodness we haven't had any but we have had the cold. It has been 15 degrees all week.

So I proposed the Dolophin to DH. He didn't say anything. Just quiet. He said he won't say yes or no yet. Maybe he is waiting for the tax return before we count our chickens. I even said that we would hit the water parks and go to Epcot for dinner to use some of our park days instead of spending all day in the parks. As long as I get at least 2 days at MK I will be happy. On top of that, I said that I wouldn't make any ADR's. He hated having the schedule with the dining plan where every day we ran to get to a meal. He likes being spontaneous.

Tomar: Hope you are getting better. Sounds like you are really being put through the ringer.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone. EE22: Hope you have heat at work. That is terrible. Can't believe that parents aren't flipping out.

Well, the weather here isn't too bad now. Temps are relatively mild compared to what all y'all are dealing with!

Unfortunately, we are still sick! I've been sick since last Wed. Now DD has it. I'm "working from home" again today! That's 2 days this week. I'm actually ready to go back to the office! I'm going stir crazy in the house!

EE22 - I would turn into a popcicle if they turned off our heat at night!!! I know what you mean about being confused with that schedule too ... I'd be backwards all day!

TOMAR - Got your pics! LOVE THEM!! Funny how so many of ours look so much alike Think it's because we stayed in the same resorts??? You two look like such a fun couple! Do you stay in a studio or 1BR when you're at SSR?

MKY - You are so far ahead of me on planning this year! We haven't made ANY ADRs for our trips yet! We have May and July to worry about. Unfortunately, last year I did tons of planning (as you already know) and based our ADRs around EMHs & when we got there - THEY CHANGED THE EMHs from what had been posted on the official WDW website for MONTHS!!! I was so upset. I felt like all my planning was for nothing!

Of course, you have to consider this is the week of July 4th we're talking about. I doubt they change EMHs at the last minute any other time - but, that's when we'll be there again this year, so it's hard for me to get too into rock-solid planning knowing I might get there & everything has changed.

Speaking of websites ...... has everyone checked out the NEW Disney site??? We LOVE it! Now that we have high speed internet, all that streaming content is wayyy cool!

TP2 - Here's some for you! Hopefully your DH will come around - soon! Did I mention I'm staying at the Dolphin in March? I've never been there before.

WEll.....today Im feeling VERY much better !!!! Thank Goodness !!!!
I have 3 more days for the Antibiotics and the Nebulizer....I can`t wait to go out !!!! Im counting down the days...as if I were in some sort of quarentine DH says I should wait until I have to go back to the DR.........WHAT !!!! that`s next tuesday !!!!

mouseaddicts- glad you enjoyed the pics....I guess it was something like loooking at your own !!!!!! We usually get a Studio Villa....because we like to stretch our vacation to 2 weeks...but when we take the Perfectly Princess....I would love to get a 1 or even 2 bedroom ......what accommadations do you guys get ?
I hope that you and DD feel better too

MKY- we had to change a ressie for dinner this week.....it seems that Nine Dragons in Epcot is closeing for renovations.....so we`re going to Spoodles..and then to Epcot on that evening for EMH......

Could someone please do a dance to the weather Gods so my sump pump pipe unfreezes so my basement doesn't flood??? I need heat in the frozen corn fields. The Box Elder bugs are dead so we need heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EE22, Sorry can't send heat, but want some lake effect snow? We had a heat wave here today all the way up to 16 degrees [during sunny part of day]. I like your countdown!

TP2, We stayed at the dolphin on the "nurses discount" a few years ago and liked it. Reminded us of the Contempary Resort. The big city "feel". Lots of people rushing around etc.. . I like that there was always something going on. And it has one of our fav. resturants, = dolphin fountain, great burgers. Good luck!

Tomar , hope you feel better soon. We haven't stayed at SSr (yet), but we did stay at bwv right after it opened. 1br. We loved the tub, and washer / dryer.

EE22 - CONGRATS on the ticker!!! At least you have one, right?

TP2 - We will be on the lookout for one from you & do the happy dance for ya when you finally get one!

TOMAR - We had a 1BR last year & are doing the same this year. When we made our DVC purchase, we bought enough points to stay 5 nights in a 2BR the week of July 4th every year. With 3 kids (2 girls, 1 boy), we know a 2BR is in our future, so we wanted to make sure that's what we got as the kids get older. That way we can put the girls in the 2nd BR & the boy can have the sleeper sofa.

DH & I both figure this is the last year we'll be able to get away with a 1BR. We keep trying to figure out a way to ditch the kids & only book a studio for the 2 of us to get a longer vacation out of our points, but that hasn't happened yet!

Oh yeah EE22 - Did you ever see the *new* Disney site? It's really cool. They just rolled it out like earlier this week I think. We got an email about it with a sneak peak a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't live yet at that point.

Tomar - I hope you get to feeling better & get out of the house soon!!! DD went to the Dr today & they told us she has "a flu-lik virus"! She's getting better, but missed 4 days of school this week!!! Thank goodness she's a fantastic student!

Hi All!
Life attacked me last week and I'm still recovering from all the "stuff" that went on. So, I haven't had time to go back and read.

I hope you're all making wonderful ADRs at this point for your trips!!

My ticker really is "fake" and more of a mental thing going on. I know we can't get back till at least the summer of 2009 so I put it up there to keep my spirits up.

It's still freezing here. We were able to get the sump pump fixed (sort of) so the finished basement doesn't flood, but it's still cold and now a snow storm is due this week. I don't like that Ground Hog...he's a liar!! It was 11 degrees yesterday and it felt warm...I think it's the first time we've had above zero temps in nearly two weeks. I still am wading through my new math course and it hit me that I've been working on that new curriculum for over a year now ick. I'm not working on it over spring break if I don't finish all the chapters by then. I'm giving orders to DS that the book will not come home with me on the day we leave for spring break.

No over break!!

ps...I found the Disney site. I thought it was the World one. I did download the cute Fairy tree as a screen saver at work too.

Hey everyone --- We actually made ADRs for our May trip yesterday!!! We still haven't made up our mind about July, but we're getting a lot closer .....

One small bummer was that we planned to try Teppanyaki this time, but they'll be closed for refurbishment the week we're there! Total bummer! We were really looking forward to eating there ... we all LOVE Japanese steak houses so we figured Disney woud do it right! I guess there's always next year ....

EE22- Now I know for sure that whatever your weather is going to be....we get it a day later....thier predicting our first major snow storm for wednesday

Mouseaddicts- we had the same thing happen to us with Nine Dragons in Epcot...after I called and made the ADR....I read that the restaurant was closeing for renovations in July So we rescheduled for Spoodles before going to Epcot....

MKY- How`s the summer trip planning going?...Did you make a dinning plan yet?....you`ll be calling soon for your Agu. trip !

EE22, Yes we got nailed alright. Still freezing cold and this snow is not going anywhere yet. Schools where closed for 2 days here this week. Good thing I have 4 wheel drive. They said today, expect a heat wave of 30 degrees on monday! I better get my shorts out.


Mouseaddicts, I saw that about Japan too. Good thing we will be going late late august. I plan to try it out.

Work is especially bad. RSV is going strong, and keeping the Peds unit & PICU busy. Bad stuff. Watch your little princes and princesses.

Hope everyone had a great Valentines day. I am on a long "off" weekend. Celebrating Xmas and Ny's holidays with my off days. So I am free Thursday > Tuesday. Yes, I did price out wdw for this stretch, but the airfare was outrageous.

Need to do my taxes too. Plan on this years AP with that. I did reinvest with TourGuideMike. It is more reasonable with the renewal price.

Well better get planning, need to decide the adr's for tommorrow? I know I won't be ready.
