Hi All..

Sorry about the loss.

I am changing our dates at POR in August. I found out yesterday that school starts later here in August in 2007, so if we go the week of the 12th we might luck into free dining. Wonder how different the crowds will be versus checking in the 5th?

MKY- thinkin about `cha :grouphug:

Panotchr- we`ve only been once.... that late in August... It seemed alittle less crowded than when we go in July....(but just as hot! :sunny:)...I think it was the first year of the "Free Dining" :goodvibes

EE22- PRETTY SOON !!!!! :santa: :santa: :santa:

MKY: Thank you for the maps...they arrived today.

Okay between the one Tomar sent and Mky I know I can get from Sanford to the Lodge...but here's what I have to say about WDW...

Hop on the Bus Gus, Make a new Plan Stan....
:rotfl:

Hiya everyone,

Panotchr, we went aug 06' from the 2 >20th and I only noticed it busier when the free dining kicked in. And when the local annual passes where able to be used. So I thought the later was more crowded. 07' we are planning last 2 weeks of august into labor day holiday. Hopefully that will be even better.

EE22, Oooh i hate the bus. Not bad going, but the crowds at park closing, or mid day heat, no thanks. I have that incredible timing to get there right after the bus leaves. Of course the AKL bus, is probably better cause its by itself? isn't it? That would probably be one resort where it is a good idea. how many days?

Tomar, is the Grandbaby coming up for thanksgiving?

Good Morning guys !!!!!! :surfweb:

MKY- thank you for asking :goodvibes ...YES....The "Perfectly Princess" is going to be with us for Thanksgiving :cloud9: ....AND...for Christmas :cloud9:

EE22- 42 Days  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

Yipee! :cheer2:

Tomar gets to see the BABY! :cloud9:

&

EE22 only 42 DAYS!!! WOW. that is less than 1 1/2 month !!! :wizard: How wonderful!

OK; Want to try something? > Serious planning: :mickeybar Everyone write down a resturant (or 2?) you would recommend and why? Should we start with mk?

Alright, heres mine: popcorn:: Fast Food: MK > Colombian Harbor house. Love to sit upstairs and watch the world go by. Found a fantastic tuna fish sandwich here. And they are the earliest fast food resturant open at mk. Opens at 10:30 am which is nice if you skip breakfast.
Table service : Really not crazy about any of them. Did not like Tony's this trip but it is a lovely room. Have not been to the castle the last 2 years. Would probably pick: The Plaza! Easy to get into without an ADR. Nice sandwich's and salads. Not to mention the ice cream. ;) Try to sit in the main room, for some reason the "porch" area is usually kinda hot?

Tommorrow is TGIF & my weekend off. Its been a long week.

Its been a loooooooong time for us, but some of my fave MK dining memories are from Cosmic Ray's :confused3

EE22- :woohoo: " YOUR GETTING CLOSER " !!!!!! :woohoo:

mky- CHH is our fav. counter service in MK....we love the Tuna salad sandwiches as well.....and I think I mentioned that we also eat upstairs.. in my TR in the summer :goodvibes...we watch the comings and goings at the HM. ;)
DH`s favorite place to eat these days is "OHANA"...(at the Poly).....besides having great food......they also accommidate the fact that he needs to have a sugar-free menu....They have the yummiest sugar-free Apple-Betty sent in from Kona Cafe for him.....I love it myself
for a great resort TS......"Yachtsmen Steakhouse" in the Yacht Club......
Yummy steaks....and the Epcot resort aptmosphere is wonderful :cloud9:
Happy that you have the weekend off !!! :goodvibes

Crystal Palace is by far our family's favorite at MK. We are going to have a late breakfast and dinner there on Christmas Eve. I cannot wait. We have only eaten breakfast there and we all really enjoy it. The puffed French toast is to die for...clogs the arteries as we eat it :rotfl:

DD and I also really enjoy LLT for dinner. She still loves, loves, loves the characters and I love going here because I can actually eat the gravy there due to my allergies :goodvibes so that's wonderful as well. Chip and Dale were a riot the last time we were there with our matching shirts.

DD and I also love the snacks at Sleepy Hallow and the view ain't so bad either.

We've never eaten at Columbia House...not sure I could even find it. I've heard good things about it though. Counter service...we have to hit Casey's Corner. A tradition for DD and I. I don't think we'll fit that in this year though :guilty:

On Turkey day whem Tomar is with the Princess, we'll be one month away :Pinkbounc

Hiya!

I like Crystal Palace too but because we don't have kids always feel a little uncomfortable in there. The characters don't seem like they spent any time with us?

Ok, Disney Resorts: Yachtman's is nice EE22 but they didn't want to burn sis's steak the way she likes it. The chef came out to talk to her. I was soooo embarrassed. For us, I would call it a draw between GF cafe & Concourse steakhouse. We are not real adventurous eaters and have always had great service & food at both of these nice rooms. Be it B, L, or D. GF cafe if elegant and beauitful. very calming. usually quiet. Concourse is fun, noisy, and hectic. Both offer great food. I would also give a mention to the GF (garden view) tea. The tea room is very relaxing, and refined. Something a little different at wdw. My nephew max even liked it.

--------
Update: Yesterday, we looked at puppy pictures on the web. No particular rush just looking. Lonely and quiet here.
--------

EE22, I bought a christmas tree today and plan to put it up tommorrow. I know its early but I work next weekend and then its thanksgiving weekend, and I won't feel like it then. Sooooooooo that means your trip is getting close! Less than 6 weeks away? Or, 4 weeks after Tomar sees the baby! :cloud9:

Tomar, 2 weeks till the baby! Better get that turkey picked out, and the dressing made. ;)

Have a great weekend. Its cold here today. All the leaves are gone. :sad2: & tommorrow GO BEARS!

Hey!
This is the weekend I normally put up our tree, but not this year

I will go to CP when I'm 92 for the puffed French toast. You're right though, the characters don't spend time with other Disney fans. DD was noticing tonight in the DVD she was watching of our June 01 trip at the Castle that the Princesses actually spent time talking with her. They don't hardly say a word to her now. It's rather sad.

I hope you find a cute puppy

COLD here too...winter is here.
I've begun packing and I like it!!

I went to Target today and in the dollar section I found a miniature tree, some mini lights and some mini soft non-breakable decorations for the tree along with some garland to hang some mini stockings on :santa:
Pixie Dust :tink: :tink:

I have to have a Mickey bar since I've never had one and who knows when we'll be back. :mickeybar

Hi everyone !!!!
MKY- Yep the "Perfedtly Princess" princess: will be arriving in 10 Days. :cloud9: ..... have alot to do. :goodvibes ....but I think I have eveything under control :thumbsup2
Can`t wait to see her ;)
Hope you guys find a great puppy :)

EE22- so happy that you found a mini tree :santa: :santa:
and....as the song goes..."It`s beginning to look alot like Christmas" !!!!
I`ve never tried the mickey bar either....nor the Dole whip....mabe this summer :cloud9:

Hope everyone had a good weekend......It`s raining here in New Jersey...but not that cold :goodvibes....We`re probably going to be in for it soon though

I'm going to try to do the stocking when the kiddies sleep :tiptoe:

The whole Dole Whip thing just doesn't trip my trigger. I was too afraid to try it though as the ice cream was yellow looking and with my allergy to yellow dye, I didn't dare try it. I've gotten so that if I can't read the label forget it. In fact, I bought some peppermint tootsie roll suckers today and they have yellow dye in them and I guess it must be the red since regular tootsie rolls don't have it in them. Very strange.

It's very cold and very November outside. Acutally with my bake off :stir: over Thanksgiving, I hope it's cold. I know...I'm weird!!

41 days :figment: :stitch: :sulley: :maleficen :goofy: :tigger: :hmghost: :ccat: :stitch2: pooh: :eeyore: :simba: :donald: :mickeyjum

Hiya!

Your not missing anything special in my book. We don't particularly care for the dolewhips. :confused3 I know they are all the rage, and I do like pineapple but it was just flavored ice cream (soft serve).

Its cooooooooooooold here too! And gloomy. I am now sick. Got a bad cold and set off my asthma. But my 2 christmas trees are pretty. :smooth:

If you where at wdw for thanksgiving where would you eat dinner?

We are planning on a pup about March, meaning he will be born in January. Thinking about some names. You never know for sure till you see them but? I thought of Zeus(we are greek), Gunnar(dad was in korea), A good german name usually works sis likes Rommel, and mom likes Eric. Any names /ideas out there we should consider?

I like Zeus! I'd probably go with Hercules and make is Disneyfied :rotfl:

I'd eat Thanksgiving dinner at Liberty Tree
Tradition!!

My youngest DS had 2 very close friends in HS who were Greek :goodvibes
Dimetrius and Costa........I love the name Demetrius..... :cloud9:
but mabe for a PUP...it`ll be too long.....you could always call him "D" for short ;)

Thanksgiving Dinner:....HMMMMM......I agree with EE22, I think....LTT....for the Turkey dinner :)

Hi All, It HAS been a long time. I was just catching up on all the goings on.

Laura: I am so sorry about Wolfie. I remember how hard it is to lose a pet. I think the family dog is the worst to lose. They are just so much a part of the family and they live for so long. I really hope you find a new puppy to fill that space.

Glad you had a great trip. I read that it was crowded this weekend too. We have had lots of days off from school and we actually know 3 different families from my daughters class that are there last week. I can only imagine how croweded it was.

I had my dd8 and dd6 birthdays this week. They are born 11/10 and 11/14. Usually we have one big party at home and then celebrate with the family on their birthdays. Well, this year they each wanted their own party out which was fine but we also had the family on each of their individual birthdays. I have been going nonstop for 2 weeks. Feels a lot like Christmas around here. All the craziness and mess and baking. Glad to have a break before starting the holiday madness.

EE22: Your trip is right around the corner. Can't believe it is so close. I am sure you have everything planned and all will be wonderful. The extra packing though has to be a pain.

TOMAR: So glad you get your little princess for the holidays. I am sure you are thrilled. It will make the holidays so much more special for you this year.

I want to play the game: favorate sit down restaurant is one not mentioned, Spoodles at the Boardwalk was delicious. Expensive, but on the dining plan only one credit. As for CS, we did like Tusker House at AK. We felt like we got a quality healthy meal there for a reasonable price.
