June, July, August PLANNING thread

Just quickly checking in. DH got the internet today and while he is in the shower I decided to check e-mail.

Things are going pretty good. The hotel front desk is a nightmare. Never again. I will get into details when we get home. The dining plan is great. Like everyone said, way too much food. I wish we did not order from WEGOSHOP as we really don't need the extra beverages. We are having a bad weather day today and it was supposed to be our pool day. Much cooler here in August than last July. Only day that was unbearable was yesterday. We got to eat at Sci Fi Drive in at 4:00 which was really a treat.

Hope all is going well and everyone is adjusting to back to work. We get home late Tuesday. I am sure I will check in sometime on Wednesday.

EE22, On your ressies with the ap rate, does your paper work state: Due on this date, final payment, no other notices sent. ?? I got this on mine and I called they told me it was a mistake on the form and ignore it, but I am still alittle worried. The date on mine in sept, 29th and I will call a few days before and ask again, I am going to wait cause > I might change my request at the poly. We asked for Tokelau building and waiting to see if it is done with construction and reopened yet.

Tomar > what are your dates this time? and where are you staying? Don't think I heard the details yet.

TP2: I hope you're having a GREAT time!! Today I've survived the first week of school...at least I think I have!! I can't wait to hear about your trip!

MKY: My ressie says the same thing. I called and asked and they said it was a mistake. He said he'd send another, but I haven't received it yet. I'll keep you posted. I always pay it all off anyway, but that made me nervous!

Feels like old times here girls!!!

MKY- We`re thinking about JULY again--(dates aren`t set in stone)..I have to call DVC MS around the first week in Sept.....But It`s definately "Saratoga Springs"
DH is tired of moving around, it wastes a whole day, and I agree...especially if your room is not ready until 4pm!!!
Believe it or not....there`s a new thread rates/codes watch ,for July `07 already!!!!!!!!)

I feel better that your's said the same thing. I usually do the disney visa thing for points, so pay for it on check in.

Tomar, you are sooooo right about moving resorts. It was nice to visit the BC for a few days, but you do waste a whole day moving. We like to unpack, and for a few days I didn't and trying to live in the suitcases was a pain. I don't want to split again either (if I don't have too). I was really surprised at how large SS was. It looks bigger than DTD & west side togther.

My nephew came over this afternoon, and asking (or telling me) "when WE go to disneyworld again ........." He doesn't know about October. He is in school, and can't go then. I know, I will have to take him next year. He is now a disneyfile.

Tomar, you are sooooo right about moving resorts. It was nice to visit the BC for a few days, but you do waste a whole day moving. Hi Ladies!!
2 of the 3 people that I work with that went this summer are hooked. The one's hubby isn't though. He seems to be like my DH. Sit on the laptop and surf the web for his vacation. Those computer geeks are trouble. I will have her as a resource for getting around WDW as they drove and flew into Sanford. She said I should get a GPS, but they stayed off site. I'm not sure I'd need that. DH is terrible though. I was trying to understand your short cut MKY from WL to DTD and I didn't get it

Do you think the parking at Christmas at DTD will be bad? I'm worried about when we go to Cirque.

I am so glad you both feel that way about moving resorts. People have always tried to talk me into it and I never would do it. Even last year when it worked out to stay CL at AKL to do the sunrise safari on the last night, we stayed in our normal room. That safari was awesome that's for sure. I thought about doing one night CL this trip, but I forgot the ap rates stop on the 23rd so I'd have to do it at the beginning of the trip and can't at the end. So, we won't be able to do it. Their lounge was AWESOME! As you both know I'm not at the resort much

My first week is down, but it feels like a month. I have 31 students in two classes now and they came down and asked if I'd take 32 PLEASE!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?! my numbers: 30, 31, 26, 30, 30, 31
They can hardly move in my room. I don't seem to have any attendance issues either. I think having a few gone might be helpful for the fire code

EE that`s great that some of the ladies at school share your love for Disney as well !!! My DH won`t admit that he`s hooked.. ..I can talk to him about such things as our Itinerary...(after all.. the fun is planning too)...he`ll just say... "whatever you want to do"....then.. when we`re at Disney.....he comes up with his oppinions AND...I think the kids just humor me.. . OK..THAT MEANS...All bets are with my.."Perfectly Princess" NOW!!

DTD-parking has ALWAYS been crowded, I can`t see christmas being an exception...mabe even more crowded. ...but.... with a little patience, your sure to get a parking space. ...we just circle around alittle, until we get one!!

I got cancelled today at work. (oh shucks). So did some of my "chart" work on our Oct. trip.

I have 2 sisters, 1 married and has 3 kids 2 older girls (1st marriage) and max with present. Then travel sis > is also single. Neither of us can have kids. So we borrow our older sis's.

For your cirqu nite, There is alot of parking way down by cirqu. But You might want to consider a cab? You could do the bus there and cab back? I know it is an extra charge, but very convient. Or I would just go very early and park. But I can spend alot of time at DTD.

EE22> Short cut is not on the WL rode. It is: When you pull through MK parking & head to the right to the resorts is the rode to Fort wilderness. We use this as an escape hatch all the time. Follow it straight past the golf courses and it goes to the rode with PORS on it, You can to straight here to Lake buena vista OR turn to right and past PORS, to old key west signs turn there and go past OKW > to the end of the street. Comes out by Saratoga springs and turn right to head to DTD.

Tomar> go to the GF garden view tea. It will be good practice for you to teach your granddaughter. We loved it.

MKY: it cooled off here too and it was not 90 in my room yesterday.

We had Open House last night and it was a nightmare...they didn't print any of the student schedules ahead of time and then the printers wouldn't work.

Hi Everyone. Well, I have lots to talk about but need lots of time. Flight home was a nightmare. We fly into Islip and there was a terrible storm that closed the airport. We sat on the plane in Maryland for 2 1/2 hours waiting for the airport to reopen. On top of it, Sunday and Monday were sick days for DD2. She started with a fever of 103.6 and ended with swollen eyes. We spent our last day (Monday) at the clinic. Not too happy with CSR. Service actually became a joke. I will get to a detailed TR but I wanted to give a heads up and let you guys know we are back okay. Dining plan was GREAT!

Tomar: I hope you enjoyed your DH birthday and the family time. Hopefully your granddaughter came for a visit.

MKY: Welcome home. I know it has been a week or so but it does take some time to wind back into things.

EE22: Hope all went well with back to school. I have been running around trying to find all of the school supplies for the girls. It has taken 2 days and about 5 stores to find everything. Our stores are wiped out because we are so close the start of the new year.

Hope your princess is feeling better...I know coming home at the end of Aug. can be daunting...you just blink...and its labor day already!!!

That was my thought too...we all had some major event on the leg home. Better at the end though. I hope DD2 is doing better now. I can't wait for your trip report!!!

I thought of you yesterday when I was at Walmart and saw the remaining supplies. Most schools here have been back for 2 weeks if not 3 in the smaller schools. The start of the year for me has been rough. We have about 200 more students than they thought we would our math classes are packed. Some have 33 students in them and they cut one of our educational assistants and made it a secretarial position for the administration. So, we have 2.5 for about 110 staff members. It's the second week of school and the staff feels like it's the week before spring break! We need a party!!

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was a busy planning day. We got the October email code, and was on hold for 1/2 hr trying to get thru. But cro said overall it cost about 180.00 more than I already have, so no thanks. Will stick with ap for October trip.

We also changed our flight. United changed our time, so we are now switched flights to the 7am (leave here 3:30AM) instead of 6pm. So we will almost gain a whole day doing this.

Hope everyone is settling into fall. (?) Just getting used to being back at work, and we are getting close to a month from now.

TP2, anxious to read about your trip. Sorry we didn't connect. Maybe next year if you return.

Nephew was asking about next year. Not sure what are plans are, probably august? and maybe if we are lucky after thanksgiving / early december?

EE22, are all your plans final yet? Adr's? I added some around the resorts after our august trip. We used to be able to count on the walk in there, but found it immpossible when we where there then.

Hope everyone had a great Labor day. I got to work. All the parents, thought we where making big holiday money. We get 10% more on the holiday. No triple time here.

WE had the flight change happen to us once...and yes...it was earlier too
You DO have more of the first day there though...that part I love
But the getting up ...(what am I talking about....I can`t SLEEP anyway )....your REALLY up for MORE than 24 hrs.
Make plans to sleep in... the next morning ...we do

We`re planning on around the last week in July...next summer...I`m already on the "July, 2007 rates/code watch thread.. .. (although I have to actually call for our ressies next week !)
