Hiya everyone!:yay: TGIF:hyper2:

Wow, supposed to hit 50 here this weekend. Melt snow, melt.:) Is global warming really that bad?:confused3 Ok, sorry Politically incorrect.:upsidedow

Garsh, Candi you will need a new set of luggage for all those trips.;) Sounds like a great time. Sounds like mom is doing good, pixiedust: Pixie dust for her check up.

TP2, Looks like your girls have the Disney gene from you.

Tomar, good luck with ADR'S.

So we all love Sci fi but, How do you all feel about Brown Derby? We hate this place with a passion. You name it and we have had an issue here. Food, table, staff.

Everyone have a great weekend. mky:cutie:

:surfweb: DH is out playing hockey and I am staying up late. Just thought I would check in and see if anyone else is up at this late hour..

MKY - that is weird it was not showing your post before I posted again....don't know what that was all about.

My mom is doing great. I think it was all the pixie dust flying around that made all the difference. Her energy and strenght are low but we are going to get her into some physio and I plan on taking her to message therapy as well and the combination should help out with that.

My luggage has a lot of miles on it from when I use to travel for work, but it pays to buy good stuff. I have Swiss Gear :worship: The stuff is build better than my car! :lmao:

Okay- I have a question for you pros ......:goodvibes

Tomorrow is our 180 day mark for ADRs ...... but WDW hasn't posted park hours for July yet. How in the world do y'all make dining plans w/o park hours??? :confused3 I mean - how do you know which park you'll be in on each day w/o knowing EMHs, etc.??? :confused3

We have LOTS of decisions to make in the next 23 hours!!!

We've done the :teacher: and I don't think we're going to use the DDP this year, but we have a lot of TS restaurants we want to visit, so there's lots of $$$$ to be thought about.

To top things off, I'm having minor outpatient surgery tomorrow, so DH has to do it all himself. :scared: The only one I think we may have issues with if we don't get it now, is CRT. We're thinking of doing dinner there this time. Thoughts on that anyone??

:grouphug:

Hiya everyone!

Mouseaddict's, Good luck with the surgery and ADR's. Last time, I guessed the best I could and tried to follow the previous Early and late entry dates, to give me a guess. Based on that, I picked which park we would be in and then guess which resturants would be interesting. I still contend, MAKE the adr's and cancel or change as needed. Found on our last 2 trips, if you didn't have the adr > forget about it. Your eating chicken strips again.;)
We have never done the dining plan, I won a trip from mcdonalds during the 25th annv. and had "free dining" then, it was way to much food and time eating it. I don't think we are even getting the dining experinece card this year. With the new tipping etc.. . I think we will just go without, or buy it down there if I change my mind.

Candi, the boards have been goofy for a few days. I have some nice luggage too. It is super light. about 5# per bag. Bright blue, so it is easy to see. Can't think of the brand. not american or samsonsite thou. We have been very happy with it.

This is a bad week at work. Joint commission might show up and inspect us tommorrow and all week, or in the next few weeks. So it is crack down time. Happens every couple of years. Its for accredidation. Hopefully it will fly by.

Have a great week everyone. mky:cutie:

MKY - the board was really Goofie :goodvibes the last few days. It would show I was the last poster, but I could not see what I have posted. Good luck with the audit this week. With such great staff, I am sure they will be impressed.

I agree with the ADRs but it can be trickey to change them. I need to down grade a table of 8 to a table of 6 can they don't have anything available now for the date I want to go. Not sure what I am going to do.

Mouseaddicts - they will have the park hours posted now  so I am going to be deciding for our July trip before we even go in March :lmao: Good luck with the surgery and the ADRs as well.

Our vouchers for our annual passes arrived today. We have never tried this before, but I am very happy to see I will get a 10% off at the World of Disney store!   Man I love that store.:lovestruc

The basic Park Hours have been posted since last week (with the exception of DHS which was posted yesterday/last night) - it's the EMHs that haven't been posted.

Having been the same week for the past 3 years, we'll just pull out last year's itenerary & work from there I guess. The only difference this year is that we are basically going the week AFTER July 4th (since it's on a Friday this year). In the past, WDW has changed the EMHs for that week, so nothing has ever been in stone. I don't know why this year should be any different! :rotfl:

Mouseaddicts: Good luck today with your surgery and ADR's. I just got notice that there were messages from Friday. Something is definately not working right here but it is okay.

MKY: Good luck with work. A little extra stress won't kill ya right???;)

So we have no plans as of now but the summer vacation is definately on everyones mind. I was looking at some vacation homes in Orlando and they look beautiful. I am trying to compare the cost of the home vs staying onsite and I still think onsite is cheaper, of course less space, but cheaper. I am also having a hard time getting past not having the full 24/7 at Disney. Any ideas out there about that? Renting a house would cost about the same as staying at a moderate without a discount and of course we will also need a car. Cost wise, it is a no brainer, but as far as the magic. It would be killed if we did not stay on property, right?

I have stayed off site before and hated every minute! I never had stayed on site then off site. It was all off site then changed to all on site and let me tell you this much. I LOVE staying on site!! I will NEVER stay off site ever again. Even if it means going with a value resort. Values arent my thing really, have stayed at ASMo before and it was OK. But given the choice between staying at some fancy resort off site or a value resort on site, I would DEF. take the value resort in a heart beat. You get free transportation. Getting back to your resort is a breeze. Your constantly surrounded by Disney magic 24/7. PLUS dont forget those EMH. If you stay off site you wont be able to do those EMH.

Thanks so much for getting back. That is kindof what I figured. Some of the houses have the Disney rooms which I thought was cool but even still I would sacrifice the space for the Disney resort. Also, I have to cook all the time at home. On vacation, I don't want to see a stove. I like the refrigerator for drinks and snacks but I don't want the temptation or pressure to cook instead of eating out. I would rather eat pizza every day than cook and clean up after a meal.

Hi!!

We are staying at AS Sports August 22-24 & AKV August 24-30. A few questions...

1) When will they announce the dates for the Pirate & Princess Parties in August?
2) How are the crowds at that time?
3) When will the park hours come out?

Thinking about Sci-fi, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Boma and Rainforest Cafe (DS loves this place).

So did everyone get the e-mail from the moms panel? I figure everyone who submitted a form with get one.

August dates for P&PP prob wont come out for another month or 2. I dunno about crowd level. I do know at the beginning of August I hear its pretty busy but as the month goes on and school starts it gets lets busy. Park hours for August will be out next month. However, you can pretty much go by July's hours cuz July and August generally have the same times. There might be a couple days in July the parks will stay open later then in August (July 4th) however, all EMH days will be the same. So tech. you can start planning now by looking at the July calendar.

I think the August crowds will depend on free dining. We were there last summer and once free dining started the parks were a lot more crowded. The beginning of the month has similar park hours to July but when we went on August 19, the park hours were cut down a lot. Spectro was only showing on certain days. Actually the park hours seemed less because of the P&P party. They close the park to day guests at 7:00pm the nights of the parties. It gets confusing. You may have to wait to see what they publish this year but I understand you wanted to get your itinerary planned.

Hi TP2- Yes I recieved the new e-mail from the "Moms Panel"....Looks like we`re gunna be part of the new "Mom`s Club" :goodvibes ...I voted for the new name...and checked to see that my profile was correct too !! :goodvibe

Thank you for the replies...been to Disney in August as a kid but this is our first time as a family going in August. Worried about standing in long lines in the extreme heat. But a short line I can do ;)

Just have to wait for the Pirate & Princess party dates to make my ADR's :woohoo:
