Mky....Tomar and I are overlapping.:cool1: :cool1: I told my students I was meeting a person from the internet at Disney and they all believe I'm meeting some crazed person who isn't who they say they are:rotfl: They think I will make the headlines this summer.:rotfl:

I hope there is a party when you are there. SWW is fun too. DD got tired of it after awhile though and wanted the "real" characters.

I think the lunch in the Castle is better than breakfast. Breakfast can be cold, etc. Not sure about his age. DS has never gone with us even when he was 10. He might like it better now at 16 since he's into girls now;) The males in my classes all think Jasmine is HOT!

I am taking DD because she wants to do it. She has said that the princesses already ignore her at her age which I have noticed too. But, we usually get the little table by the window that looks out over Fantasyland so we will go again. It better be good for $97. All I know is no one better take away her sweet potato chips or she'll take them out:lmao: Last time I had the sandwich but I cannot eat any processed meat anymore. After last summer and getting ill after a chicken salad sandwich I don't dare eat that this time. So, Major Domo is it. I like buffets so much better with my allergies.

I would recommend the new Donald's and Crystal Palace. DS LOVES those. I can give you a review on Donald's at Tusker House and you could always cancel if it's not good. The old Donald's one was DS favorite.

The kids and DH also LOVE Sci Fi. I know it doesn't get great reviews, but we have found lunch to be good. Milk shakes rock!! DS always asks if we are going to eat there. Go figure. Also, the most favorite thing for DS is Fantasmic! it's the only reason he stayed in the park ALL DAY last year at Christmas so he wouldn't get shut out. He's never stayed in the park all day...ever. He LOVES that show and loves H&V. We always do the dinner package. Buffets now with DS save me BIG BUCKS. That boy can eat!!

WDW isn't so bad for food prices after Chicago and Reno. It was $20 for him to eat in Reno. Waffles, side of bacon and anothe side of eggs and then he would eat DH's muffin and orange.

Good luck at work.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year from Canada everyone!

65 days till we leave.

We have reservations for the Castle for Breakfast. I loved the food when we were there in 2001...boy that is a long time ago. But I had an eye disease and could not see what was going on. I just want to see all the princesses in one room, then I will be happy. DDs are 12 and 9, so it will probably be the last time for us. We are taking our friend with us since she has never done the princess thing with girls before and the DHs are going to golf that morning.

I hope the princesses don't ignore DD 12 or she will be disappointed.

MKY - have you ever looked at buying the DVC membership? It might be worth while since you go so often. I love it.

On the other side of the coin. ;) ....My ENTIRE.....HUGE Italian Family now knows all the times and places we`re gunna meet at....Just incase...Mr. Tomar and I mysteriously don`t show up back in New Jersey at the end of our vacation  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

MKY- The way you guys told Max about going back to the world was wonderful and must have been such a super suprise for him !!!

Candi- 65 more days !!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

TOMAR - way too funny about everyone knowing your timetable. Is it your family or "the family" :lmao: :lmao: Yet not a bad plan to pass onto the kids. Funny how we are so worried about our kids meeting people online but we might not if they spent a year and a half on a public board first I guess.

When is Max going with you MKY?

:laundy: got to go.

As they say..."it`s not the world...but the people in it:earseek:
Happy Laundry day !! ;)

Hey y'all!!! Remember me? ;)

Okay - so I haven't exactly been around in a while ..... life is hectic, what can I say? :confused3 I'll do my best to play catch up in a hurry!

So - I see Tomar & EE22 (and family) are going in June/July ...... what are your dates???? We'll be there for July 4th - as always! Would be way cool to meet up (again with EE22). :goodvibes

Hey EE22 - We're booked in a 1BR SV at AKV from July 6 - 10! We're excited about staying there. ..... DH is excited about FINALLY getting to eat at Boma!!! He's been dying to try it ever since we met - and we still haven't been! :rotfl:

Happy New Year MKY!!

Will be back to catch up soon (tomorrow?)

We leave on the 5th so maybe you'll have our room?!? Did you book at 7 months out? If so, I need to chill as I didn't think I'd get a room at 11 months out.:rotfl: We LOVE BOMA. I hope your DH does as well.

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Pixie Dust to Tomar for her ADRs.

I am still annoyed with holiday prices from May 25th-July 5th.
That's just WRONG!!!

Im new to the boards what are the holiday prices between may 25-july 5 referring to. We are going to be staying at our home resort Saratoga Springs for the first time.

Hey EE22 - Yes, we booked at 7 months out. We called every day & booked 1 day @ a time. Originally, we wanted concierge, but that wasn't available, so we got SV instead.

Are y'all staying in a 1BR SV? It would be hillarious if we did get your room!

If you leave on the 5th, we'll be there already. Will Tomar be there then??? We should have a group meeting! :rotfl:

We're actually driving down the night of the 3rd, so we'll be there for the 4th (family tradition - as declared by the kids!) I'm not sure where we're staying the first 3 nights - Poly or POR probably :confused3

Hi ODC! We're SSR owners too! :yay: We've stayed there the past 2 July's and absolutely  LOVE  it! We requested a DTD view last year and really enjoyed that. Our balcony was directly accross from Fulton's.

Many of the buffets (if not all) and prepaid meals or the Fantasmic Dinner Package all have higher prices from May 25th - July 5th.

I'm not pleased....

Hiya everyone!:tiptoe:

Hope your enjoying your thursday nites.

Thanks everyone about the max comments. Yes, he is so excited. He visited here yesterday. I was off so he spent the day here while sis worked. He is a good kid. Growing up way too fast, now have to be into adult prices. Think it will be alot easier taking him, now being the 2nd time. Candi, max is going with us for our august trip. Going early august cause of his school.

I want to meet up too in July.:dance3: You guys are going to have a blast. I still contend, if this thread is still going after 5 years, we are going to have a "meet" girls only.:thumbsup2 Really looked forward to last august was hoping to meet up with TP2, but we both had so many problems going on, it just didn't work out. TP2, you have to tell dh that we have to try again this year. :thumbsup2

EE22, we love sci fi too.:cool2: I didn't think thou that max was even interested in it last summer and he brought it up this week, can we go there again? I think we will go to morroco this year, would love to see max watch the dancer. That should be interesting. popcorn:: What do you mean "holiday prices" I am guessing a DVC thing?

Candi, no, I think I will wind up being the last giant disney fan not into dvc. Even with our SSR trip this year (way better than our BWV trip) Just not convinced yet.

Welcome back mouseaddict's missed you.:worship: Hope all is well in the south. :upsidedow No, CR this year?

odc, welcome, have a great trip. Not sure what she meant either.

Not much going on here. We are mobbed at work. Keep you children away from everyone. Trust me.:scared1: Cold and we have snow on the ground.

Hope everyone has a great nite, mky:cutie:

I second the notion of a "meet" ...... especially if we're still hanging in there after 5 years!!! Heck, we're 1/2 way there already, aren't we??? :goodvibes

I do hope we get to meet up with Tomar & EE22(again) this July! That would be great! My kids think it's cool for us to meet up with other disers when we're down there. They're totally brainwashed! :thumbsup2

MKY - Right now, we have 2 trips planned (so far) this year. We're going to Hilton Head (DVC Resort) for Spring Break April 4-8 and then we'll be back down for July 4th & the following week. We're staying at AKV for 4 (or 5) nights in July, but we haven't book the rest of the trip yet.

We're debating .... We've talked about Poly or POR for the first 2/3 nights and Beach Club/Yacht Club for the last 2/3 nights. :confused3 We haven't made any decisions yet. We'll see how it plays out .....

We WANT to go back to CR, but probably not this year .... I'm ready for another trip to the Poly - we haven't stayed there since 2002 (our 1st trip together)!! The kids don't even really remember it ....

BUT .... DH wants to stay in EVERY Disney Resort ..... we have about half of them to go! It's hard .... when you find one you like, you want to go back, but then you don't get to try a "new" one ..... *sigh*

On our last trip - Labor Day Weekend - we stayed at WL & WLV and LOVED it. We had previewed it before & thought it was too "woodsy" for us, but we were pleasantly surprised when we stayed there! DH's boss is as Disney-nuts as we are and that's their favorite resort. They stay there pretty much EVERY trip (like EE22's family & AKL) :rotfl: But, they don't have kids (and aren't going to have kids - because they're smarter than we are!!! :scared: ) so they get to go more & don't have to worry about the $ of the resort every trip! Now, they always get a great deal, but still .......

Oh yeah MKY - they aren't sold on DVC membership either, so you're not alone. They go 4 or 5 times a year - for like 5 - 7 days each time and still haven't even taken the tour. And it's not like they don't know about it. Their issue is mousekeeping - the lack thereof. :confused3

Okay - I've rambled enough for now - not sure how that happened, sorry! I have to go to bed --- it's pushing midnight here & tomorrow's a go-to-the-office day! :surfweb:

Night-Night!
Can't wait to hear about Tomar's ADR's!!! :cutie:
(we are trying to make those plans, but we may need to seek y'all's professional help!)

:grouphug:

MKY: You have a wonderful idea. ;) We are getting our roof done soon so we have to see what that will cost and then of course the wedding. The shower is in March and then we just need to get the dresses. The girls dresses are running about $150 each, which is crazy, and there are 3 of them. My dress looks like it will be about $200 and then there are alterations and shoes and hair.:scared: Do I really need to give a gift when I am spending so much on clothes for the day??? Well, if there is anything left (money wise) I am going to push for a trip. Last year was a trip from !?@! It was like we never got a vacation. 2008 has got to be better.

EE22: I thought you had a stalker for a minute. Welcome DonaldDuckFan11!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I can't believe 4 1/2 hours to the airport. That is too far for me. I need to be at my destination at that point. I am bad though because I don't like to go more than 15 miles from home. I hate being in the car. But if I were paying $100 per ticket instead of $400 per ticket, I would make the sacrifice.

Tomar: That is so funny about meeting up with that family and asking about the doll. We had a conversation at my DFIL birthday dinner about her clothing. My neice got to go to the concert. Tickets were so expensive ($2000). I didn't even try and then my DBIL got tickets the night before for $70. I wish he would have called because DD7 would have loved to go. Rumor has it that she is adding more dates. I really hope so, I told her I would try for tickets if she comes back again.

Mouseaddicts: Welcome Back! I am all for an all girls trip. We would have a blast if we all caught up for a weekend. I could not imagine leaving the my kids behind though. DD3 keeps talking about when she goes to Cinderellas Castle soon and when we go on the train at Disney World. I have not even been talking about it. We may just have to coordinate the family trips.

Hi again: My family loves Sci Fi too! Last year we did not have reservations because we were not spending an entire day at MGM and everyone complained. If we go back, that is one on the list, even before the Castle.

See - Sci-Fi is a MUST for us too! :thumbsup2

I know, I know, I know - the food reviews are not great (okay, they're pretty bad actually) BUT, it's just got the COOLEST atmosphere there!

You just have to LOVE sitting in those cars watching the cheesy horror flick reels! :3dglasses It's just so - unique! Give it up for the imagineers on that one! I know there's certainly nothing like it where we are - and we're practially IN Atlanta!

This year, our plan is to make a late afternoon ADR at Sci-Fi for snacks/appetizers, dessert, milkshakes (grown up drinks!), etc. instead of making it a destination for our actual meal. That way, we get the atmosphere & the best offerings on the menu without having to eat a full meal there! Good plan??? popcorn::

(sorry 'bout that other LONG post going up twice - I was having 'puter probs!)
:headache: :surfweb: :headache: :surfweb: :headache:

My DS spoke to the DAD (who is His best friend...and who took the girls to see HM that night)....
He told DS...that... troughout the concert ....all he could hear was.....all the little girls......SCREAMING !! :scared1:
He said ..."All that Money...just to feel my head pound ...continuously!! :rotfl:

Tomar: I am not surprised. I think it is more the thrill of seeing her in person. DD7 looked like she was gonna cry when she heard her cousin went. We are going to our high schools production of High School Musical. My kids are so excited for it. I keep telling them it is only the kids from school. Troy and Gabriella won't be there.:rotfl2:

Mouseaddicts: I agree about Sci Fi. It is all about the theming. We did not have a problem with the food either. We are not fancy people and my family loves chili. They thought it was the best thing going with the chips and all for the appetizer. Maybe we were just so full from being on the dining plan that year. If we looked at the prices we may have felt differently.

MKY - the 5 year things sounds like a great plan...I only have to put in half the time since I only joined a few months ago. :woohoo:

I know DVC is not for everyone but I actually love the lack of Mousekeeping. When we hang around the resort I hate having to work around when they might show up. We are pretty neat (when we don't have a bunch of our own stuff there) so we don't need much. Plus the tree hugger in me knows the harm of all those sheets being washed everyday. :scared1:

We stayed in a time share in Vail in July 2006 and it was the same there and I have come to relax more since you have the place to yourself so all those days.

Maybe if we end up with a "meet the girls" trip, we can hang out at one of the pools at a resort you can't pool hop to, if I were a guest there.

2008 is going to be a very busy year for trip so 2 1/2 years might give me time to be ready.

We have our family trip booked for March 8-15 at OKW. We have a mom and kids trip booked at AKV for July 13-22 (I have room for one more :rotfl: ). Plus, if my mom's check up goes well the end of January, we are going on a mediteranian criuse from May 19-June 1...that one is going to break the bank for me. But before she had her surgery, I asked what she has always wanted to do but never had and she said "see Europe"....si pixiedust: here we go!

My DH is not coming in July since he does not get enough vacation time. Add to that he is staying home with the kids in May while mom and I share a cabin and my sister and her DH have another one...balcony for them....I know I should have become an accountant :lmao: . If I plan one more trip without him, there may be a revolt!

MKY - I will keep the sanitizer handy! :hippie:
