TP2- Sometimes it takes forever to finally find the cause of what`s making the patient sick..... Although it wasn`t eggs per-say....the affect that they give DD4 is just as bad as being allergic to them....the only consolation is that she will be able to have egg substitutes in the morning....but still can`t have any foods containing eggs either because of her reaction in her tummy to them ...right? :headache:
It`s soooo hard to see the little ones feeling ill like that :sad1: ....Im happy that you finally know what the cause is...and can help her feel better :flower3:

MKY- Right Back At Cha !!

EE22- Good Luck today with your Doctor`s Appt !...I pray you will get some help in the sleeping dept !!:cloud9:

Tomorrow is the big day for the Princessprincess: ....I`ll be on pins and needles until it`s over ! :sad1:

Tomar: Thanks:hug:

I have been thinking about you. She will be so much better when tomorrow is over but I know it will be torture until you get to that point.

DD can't eat eggs at all. The egg replacer is a combination of starches. Nothing you would eat alone, just something to use in recipes so we can all eat as a family. I don't want her to have different food on her plate than the rest of us. That would have to make it worse for her.

TP2- I totally understand that you would want DD4 to know that she is eatting the same things you guys are (even though it isn`t) ...I went through that with our oldest DS...I know that feeling :guilty:
Hang in there with all of this ....
AND....thank you sooo much for thinking about me :flower3: ....Tomorrow is gunna be a longgggggggggggggggggggggggg day ! :sad2:

Tomar: Massive amounts of pixie dust and loads of prayers.

TP2: My roommate in college was lactose intolerant and she had such bad stomach cramps....it was horrible until she found out what caused her so much pain. When she found out, she didn't even really care that she had to give up stuff because she felt so much better:goodvibes I'm sure though for a young child though seeing different food would be hard to handle. I hope the internet has places for you to go too. I believe all the processed foods are bad for us anyway. I cannot eat anything from a can anymore...it's just not worth it:rolleyes:

My alleriges are so much worse now. DH made steak on Monday night and one package came with a mix and it had caramel color in it and the other didn't...fresh from the meat dept. We were having fajitas (however you spell that...too tired to look). I had a BAD reaction and all he did was use the same spoon to stir the meat in the pan:rolleyes: I'm still a mess today and my eyes are still swollen. Caramel color is in everything it seems. It makes it "look" better:guilty:

MKY: Doc gave me some ambien to try. She asked me all the things I tried...everyone she asked me about...I had already tried it.
So, we'll see how it goes.

Happy Wednesday!

Tomar, Good luck, all thinking about princess: Try to stay calm and try to get some sleep tonight. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: princess: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

EE22, If you are still sleepy in the morning from the ambien > try to take it a little earlier each nite till you find what works. It is a pretty safe and less harmful ones, but it does work. :wizard: No carmel apples this fall. You need to be soooooooooooooooo much more careful. Each reaction changes your chemistry and can get more dangerous, on after another > till it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy worse than swollen eyes. You don't want to go there.:sad2:

TP2 Glad to hear, you have it worked out.:thumbsup2 I am sure she is feeling better. I love my allergiest too. They are so under utilized. Your a great mom tp2;)

Candi, hope work is going ok. Your getting closer. :dance3:

mky:cutie:

MKY- I wish I could sleep tonight... BUT I DOUBT IT :guilty: ...I may need some of EE22`s Ambien :upsidedow .....I just got off the phone with the princess....and she said she is ready to get her throat fixed ....awww.....I wanted to cry when she said that :sad1: ......

You guys have been a great support for me this week.....YOUR ALL THE BESTEST GALS IN THE WORLD !!! :flower3: :grouphug:

mky...I can have real caramel, just not the fake stuff! Homemade ones are a-ok, but like I'm gonna make those. The ones at WDW are real:goodvibes around here in the stores they are not. Goofy's Candy Kitchen is a tad far for an apple treat. I love caramel apples :lovestruc

Tomar...I'll send some through cyberspace if I could. Wish you were up last night with me:rotfl:

TP2: Still pulling for deals! Did you see the number for diet in the newsletter for WDW? I wrote it down if you need it.

Candi: 30 degrees is coming your way.

I am a tad worried about the side effects of the medicine..."performing tasks they don't remember...such as sleep driving." I use to sleep walk back in high school and college. One time I woke up downstairs eating a bowl of cereal:confused3 If you see strange posts during odd hours, you'll know why.

Thanks guys for all the kind words.:grouphug: Tonight she had her first melt down because she could not eat anything. She just stood in front of the fridge and cried. My heart broke but she got over it and opted for a bowl of cereal instead of the special lasagna I made for her and the rest of the family.

EE22: Normally, her reaction is the same as your roommate from college. She is just so happy to feel better. I did not find a special number yet but I have not looked. Still need to book a hotel.:rotfl: Which newsletter? Am I missing out on something?

Scary to read all the side effects. DH brother once jumped out of his bedroom window because he was dreaming that the house was on fire. His bedroom was on the second floor. Scary stuff. I think they right all that to cover their butts from lawsuits. I think Ambien is pretty safe.

Tomar: Ambien may be what you need tonight. This time tomorrow it will be all over. Sending tons of prayers and pixie dust.:flower3: :flower3:

Frustrating finding what the problem really is. Your son had so many it must have been terrible for you.

MKY: Glad your holding out for SW. Another Chicago Ding for today, I think $112 each way. Much better than the rates you told me about.

I agree about the allergist. He was VERY knowledgable in more areas than simply allergies. Very patient and was eager to get her OFF medicine (which was my goal). Sometimes I feel like doctors are more prescribers of medicine than healers. I was thrilled to get to work with him.

TP2: With my experience with my picky eaters...first DS and now DD...they switched places, I'm glad you let her have cereal:goodvibes I was a kid that was always forced to eat stuff and one of the things made me sick. Still not a great fan of spagehtti sauce for that reason. I have never fought either of the kids on what they want to eat. Many would disagree with me on this, but it's all worked out so far.

Newsletter was the all ears one that you sent mky the cheap fares to Orlando. 407-824-5967 for special diet help.

GOOD LUCK TOMAR!!!:dance3: princess: :dance3: pixiedust: princess: pixiedust: pixiedust:

EE22, I found it for TP2, from the allears net newsletter:

from Cora L.: I have severe peanut and nut allergies (I am
an adult). I will never be able to go to Boma because even the
smell of peanuts or peanut oil will get me sick, so I have to be
extra careful.. Every time we visit I contact WDW Special Diets
for any new updates since we love to try different restaurants
all the time. They now have a GUEST ALLERGY/DIETARY REQUEST
FORM. I fill it out with all the restaurants I'm going to visit,
with date, time and reservation number, email it back and they
forward to all the chefs. All I have to do is check in and
request to speak to the chef at the restaurant. No more phone
calls. This is so much easier. Contact email
specialdiets@disneyworld.com or phone 407-824-5967. They were
great.

TP2, I saw the ding, it is working.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 just fine.:yay: I like those prices.

mky:cutie:

Tomar: Best of wishes today. I am looking at the clock and the procedure may be over already. Hopefully all is well.

EE22: I have always told them that they don't have to eat what I make for dinner but they are on their own to find and prepare what they do eat. It will usually be a sandwich or cereal. Also, no dessert because they usually opt for something WITHOUT vegetables.:rotfl: Does not happen too often with the older girls but with DD4, pretty much all the time.

MKY: Thanks for the link. Don't know how I missed that as I read that newsletter each week.

Yes, Dings are a wonderful thing! My SIL does not get it. I tried to explain on several occasions but she booked $129 each way for a family of 4. I told her NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it should be much cheaper but she said that she works and has no time. I said thats fine but you didn't get a Ding! She does not get that flights go on sale. Not my wallet, so:rolleyes:

Tomar: Again, saying those prayers and sending massive amounts of pixie dust for a quick recovery.:grouphug: :flower3: :grouphug: :flower3:

Hi Guys !:grouphug:
The Perfectly Princess is out of Surgery and all went well princess: !! (Thank God) :cloud9: ....She was alittle disoriented when she opened her eyes...but she is now eating ICE CREAM :cheer2: ...and is being a Perfectly Princess Patient in the hospital !!!
I want Thank you guys for all your support for the "worryed Gram-ma" this week :flower3: ....You are all the BESTEST !!!!:grouphug:  :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tomar: So glad to hear that part is over with.:goodvibes The anastesia is always so scary to me. How long are they keeping her? I figure with the way things are these days she will be home this afternoon. At least she will be home where she will be comfortable and she will get that great gift from Grandma.:goodvibes I bet she will be up and running around sooner than anyone expects.;)

TP2- Thank You soooo much !
I was very scared about the anasthesia part too  ...but she came through it (Thank God) with flying colors :goodvibes .....She will be in the hospital until tomorrow morning...I thought today sometime too...but I think the Doc wants to monitor her.... and she is hooked up to the intravienos right now too....My son said that all the gizmos are in PINK...;)

I like when they keep them.:thumbsup2 I think that they need to be monitored for longer than the insurance is usually willing to cover. The nurses know what they are dealing with, us moms are just going from the gut.

TP@- I totally agree with you
I remember when I brought The Princess`s DAD in the hospital for his tonsilectomy ;) ....even in those days we brought them home the same day :scared1: ...I remember I was awake all night stareing at at him:eek: ... worrying that he`d be ok swallowing because of being soooo sore (MKY will get a kick out of that one ;) ) ....I like it better that the Pincess is staying overnight ! :flower3:

GREAT NEWS TOMAR!!!!!:woohoo:

Glad mky found the info for you TP2...I gave it to a lady I work with too.

Same deal for me on meals TP2...less stress.

I FREAKED this morning with 30 degrees and my heat didn't work. They did get it going around noon. It didn't blow up:rotfl: and now it works. He said, "I don't know what I just did to get it to work, but it does."

YEAH!!!! Tomar, So glad she did ok. :worship: :worship: They probably kept her because of her age [we usually keep under 3yr] and if there is any medical hx. She had pneumonia last year so> she could be a candidate for problems? Sometimes, if they are small or under weight we keep them too. Pretty much any thing can be a reason. :confused3
Now, don't be upset: [but your son might of done the same thing] > sometimes they do better the 1st day, as far as pain and eating goes. Most surgeons coat the throat with a longer acting maricaine solution. As it wears off after 8 > 16 hrs, the pain will increase and so they don't eat as well. So just don't get down if she is more irritable, less cooperative, or just uncomfortable. It is from the pain. Remember; If you treat the pain, they eat, and don't dehydrate > so they feelllllllllllllllllllllllll much betterrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!:wizard: Good luck and hang in there.
Feel free to ask me, if you run into a question.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 EE22, :rotfl: united:scared1: Keep that 30 degrees out there on the plains. It was 50 today and wicked enough. :sad2:

tp2, glad I could help. :wizard:

Ok, still looking for march ap codes. And no dining activity yet. Even TGM does not have march 09 out yet.:confused3 What is up with that.
