June/July/August 2006 Code watch

I'm really wondering now if Disney got rid of the BRP because they figured in the future, there may be a point where they don't have to offer as many discounts.

Everyone just assumed that it was Disney admitting that the system was flawed....but, maybe Disney was concerned that they were booking up more rooms at rack rate and wanted to get rid of the "automatic" discount associated with the BRP.

Now....with the old AP code system....if they choose not to release a code, then they can possibly book more rooms at rack rate. I'm also guessing that Magical Express has something to do with more people staying onsite than in years past. That's probably why the codes may be more limited in the future and the prices will be going up with the new "season" next year. You knew they weren't going to eat the cost of Magical Express....and so the cost gets trickled down to the guest in the form of higher resort rack rates.

Speed :teleport:
I agree, everyone thinks BRP went away because of complaints. That may not be the case at all, but we'll never know.

I also talked with **** today. He didn't give the same answer as the other one posted page a couple pages. He did indicate that they would annouce that there were no ap codes. I wonder on that one. He said to keep trying.

This is just too weird if you ask me!!

FYI: just passing this one, do with it as you wish and I am not critizing anyone, just sharing info.

If you post an CM's name on this forum and the info they shared with you is incorrect or something in the nature of info they should not be sharing, by posting their name you get them in trouble.

Just thought some might not know that, and then some might not care.

Now you can go back to waiting, but I can tell you I am getting close to being almost sure there will be nothing for June.

July and August is still in the maybe mode.

Also in reference to DVC room occupancy: The official occupancy is
studio:4, 2 queen beds or one queen and one sofa bed
one bedroom: 4, one king bed and one sofa bed
2 bedroom: 8, king bed, one sofa bed and 2 queens or one queen and one sofa bed.

I would not suggest going to the DVC forum and discussing putting 5 in a one bedroom or studio. It is not a popular idea.

Disney will not provide any additional towels or bedding if you do have 5.

Point taken about the names. I usually don't use the name...I just thought it was odd that I talked with the same person.

We all know these aren't their real names...so, do they have to indicate what name they use that day or do they always use the same one? I just thought it was odd that the same "person" if they are the same in fact, gave two very different answers because I did ask about summer ap rates and didn't get the same response.

We all know these aren't their real names...

You must be kidding! I have to be the biggest dummy of all times because I always thought they were their real names. :confused3 Another part of the magic disappears..... :sad2:

My friend is a CM and they are required to use their real names. Does this not apply to the phone people as well?

To further clarify, Member Services does allow 5 in a 1 BR. They will list all 5 on the reservation. They do state that they will not provide extra bedding or towels, but it is allowed. True the legal paperwork states the occupancy of a 1 BR is 4 but that is not the policy that is in use. Member Services absolutely positively allows 5 in a 1BR.

There is no flexibility with the other limits - just the 1 BR.

I didn't really want to get into all of this on this thread so I simply stated the limit was 5.

If your "extra person" is under the age of 3, they can sleep in a pac-n-play (or whatever they're calling portable cribs these days LOL) no problem.

Good luck.

Their stage name is used all the time they work, so they can be indentified by that name. So yes you talked to the same person.

Cast members in the park since they don't work at the same location can use their real names if the wish to. At CRO it would be very confusing since there are some many CMs at one location to have 5 Sams.

Don't feel bad...Every now and then, I must deal with reality. ;) The magic is only a month and a half away! :cheer2:

Morning to all....I just tried to log onto the passholder website to read up on anything and everything...it won't take my PH number? I have had this same number since last October...anyone else experiencing this? (current time here is 6am)

thanks,
Esmerelda

This happens to me every morning until 6am exactly. If I try at 5:59, I can't get through, but I can a minute later. (I just tried.) I wish it meant *something* but it's been that way for me every day!

:wizard:

6:00 am --> Just got through to the site...no changes to discount dates.

..."The question you have to ask yourself is, 'Do you feek lucky?', well, do ya punk"?...my apologies to Clint Eastwood. Just waiting for the lines to open up. Good luck all. :goofy: :donald: :mickeyjum

Yeah I feel lucky :teeth:

Morning all :goodvibes

I woke up to an email from my sister...It was the Kodak Picture thing from EPCOT! She was there last night!! So I am hoping that is a good luck sign. Come on codes. She paid rack rate for her room :confused3 No interest in codes ect.... Who is she??????????

While we're waiting...It's a bit Off Topic...

My sister and her husband were planning their 1st trip to WDW with my 5 year old nephew this summer. They're going down at the end of August and were going to stay at ASMo because my nephew had seen pictures of the buildings and HUGE characters. She didn't even know about the free dining or any potential discounts (AAA, etc.) Once I told them, they ended up making ressises at CSR and adding an extra day with free dining. I still think my nephew would have loved ASMo, but the grown-ups will probably appreciate CSR more. And FREE DINING! I don't even get that deal! My DH doesn't want to travel in August and rish hurricane weather since we spent our honeymoon last October trapped in Mexico during Wilma.

Now that my dialing fingers are , here's hoping for codes...or at least some news!

:goodvibes :wizard: :goodvibes
